Ha , don't worry its under there. Right that's it your off my Xmas list! Kidding, This thing was always going to be over the line in the sand for a few just like the rancor release. But don't forget that this is only a visual and you would actually be voting for TLG version. Thanks for all of the comments folks I will definately take them on board. I really wanted to post the bantha here in production but didn't want to waste any one time viewers without a CUUSOO link to click. Maybe next time I will have to chance it. When I get time I will see if modifying the 'Donald Duck' mouth helps any and maybe flattening the side like the regular creatures TLG produces.

Thanks to all you guys for the feedback, it's really important to my design sense. With the common issue of the Bantha being cartoony I can't disagree. It is of my opinion that the lego minifig world is rather Chibi and that something of this ilk suits. That being said I think that TLG would probably apply their sensibilities to this project should it get 10 000 votes (and in the case that it doesn't). The saddle would be , in final design that to accommodate two standard 2x2 slope bricks on each side to fill the gap in the case there is no rider. The horse saddles are only compatible with a two stud wide model and so a new solution would be needed. The model is made of 11 sections which are the horns, 4 legs, the leg hub, 3 tail sections and the main body mold. With the mouth part yes rather large but it did seem appropriate at the time with a little lol from me. Please note that I a only commenting on the time I had and not defending as it may seem when I address all of the issues at once. I do thank everyone for taking the time to comment and since Lego now own the idea in embryo I am sure they will produce a worthy Bantha with or without this.

Once again I am interested in comments about the beast design, especially with this Bantha. Have I strayed too far from the Lego mold or does it fit in. Sometimes when designing this type of thing it's hard to know when you cross the line with regard to what you want to see and what is appropriate. Anyhow feedback welcome both here and on Flickr. Oh and for voters... http://lego.cuusoo.c...deas/view/33164 Updated Concept based on feedback, thanks all.

The program used for the building was the ever faithful LDD to POVRAY and the dewback created in 3ds max then cobbled together in photoshop.

Hi folks this is my latest CUUSOO project. I'm interested in comments on the creature design in particular as it's my first venture into creature design from scratch. Don't forget to support if you want one too or just pop over and suggest modifications to the concept if you think it could improve. http://lego.cuusoo.c...deas/view/32327 http://www.flickr.co.../in/photostream

I love these sets and was in the middle of executing a similar idea when I came across your CUUSOO project. I'm not sure the multitudes of minifigures would go through given the figure to brick ratio but the cantina sets are great. I also love your original style with the character sketches, they add a bit of fun to your presentation and add a nice splash of colour too. -
I'm a big fan of this type of vehicle and that frame has so much to admire I feel I will be using some of the connections on a future build.

As per my comment on your cargo vessel, oo you have done one...

Very nice BM, my son would love to fly this one around our living rooms aerospace. How about a small fighter to escort a couple of these on missions.

A wonderful job and well executed designs. Are we going to see a manned, er.. aliened craft sometime soon. Hold on, they're not the aliens in this environment we are. I guess it's all in how you read the title text.

Hi LEGO Fans. You're probably wondering what happened to those awesome-looking space military guys on LEGO CUUSOO; you know, the ones that reached 10,000 supporters just before the Winter Review deadline. Well, the name of the project used by the fan builder is actually a trademark owned by another company, and they requested we stop using it on our site. While we let you submit projects that refer to trademarks owned by others, we don't enforce others' trademarks ourselves. However we are legally obligated to comply when we receive a request from a rights holder to remove their trademarks. Since all of you voted the project to 10,000, and since the artwork is original and based on LEGO elements, it's our opinion that the only trademark infringement here is the use of the name. So, we're in contact with NickRoyer to pick a new name and continue to consider the project in the Winter Review. We hope to have it back online soon with the new name. Sorry about the surprise, and happy building! And so all this pops up right above my comment...DOH
