  1. Best bet is eby or FB for stuff like that, Add for sale to the search criteria and you may get some hits for approximate values.
  2. Welcome out of the Shadows LGP and what an introduction! Very solid looking envoy you have there.
  3. Say that with a mouthful of marbles... very nice indeed
  4. Very nice , i shall have to look them up. Like the nostalgic little display you came up with.
  5. All indications are that this is going to take some nutting out so maybe follow this one so you get a note when I add to it. The habitat for the 'toolies' in Andor is a very functional looking design and I'm a big fan of it so I'll give it a shot but who knows how it will turn out. So far I have a decent enough rough out of a wing with concertina like extention but its way off being a build still. About to do some tests on the cockpit section as I found a great reference and then try to cobble all the angles together and maybe try to make room for the speeders in it as well. Wish me luck...
  6. @ameinild Much like the other views I feel studio provides the most seamless workflow. There are tutorials and forums available for help with instructions and rendering. Studio is basically four mini apps sewn together and while it may seem daunting at first it is dead simple to master (I say this in hindsight) There is a build window which once understood basically you could use most brick software programs as the '3d' build element in all is treated similarly. Then there is a step organiser where you can allocate individual parts and groups of parts into a sequence for instruction making.(click a part and press step before or step after) Then there is the page layout where you can design the look of the page, colours ands sizing of elements much like the old desktop publishing or even a little like Microsoft Word. Built into the first section is a renderer which is pretty self evident when you open it, turn something on or off and see the result. As with learning start with something small and test out the areas, maybe make a minifig or two. If you want to export the parts for purchase at some point make sure you check the box in the pallette 'hide unavailable parts in the selected color' or you will end up making something you cant bring to life using on brand parts. Good luck on the journey and feel free to reach out here, digital building is an exciting space for a designer to occupy.
  7. Unbelievable detailing for sure and a very consise rundown of the design and build process. Must be in Australian waters with that big salt water croc hanging about.
  8. @LL1982 @PossumPatrol Thank you both for dropping by, I think i better start collecting bricks...
  9. @TeddytheSpoonthanks Teddy and yes I think i went through every minifig part just to make sure, would have preffered a blue overall but the closest has a yellow neckline.
  10. Though he was never seen to ride it i think it's the one https://www.starwars.com/databank/wilmon-paak used to visit his girlfriend.
  11. I'm not a Mod but welcome and I cant wait to see the WIP pics, possibly yes leave a space in your original post to put a final pic and then we can see the journey you took...
  12. SOLD!
  13. Working on some Andor builds at the moment. Love seeing so much of the civilian Star Wars universe in these, so much to draw on regarding vehicles and architecture all away from the standard fare of the battlefronts.
  14. No experience but I think about it a lot, keep the build small and simple, for example in theme it may be an old ibm or apple based pc but anything is fine. It wont take a big build to reignite the fun you experience when building with lego and a large build may become tedious for those that never did it before. As mentioned use easy to get bricks and if you can order in bulk yourself you should save a lot of cash as i can only imagine most of your money would go to the fee of paying someone else. If the instructions were to fit on one page then you could self pack in resealable lunch bags with a fold of coloured cardboard stapled over the top with a colour image faced out on the folded instructions. The cost of printing these at a local store would probably be less of an outlay for you. All this said it would depend on the run size of the gift in question because if you have a large company you may need to borrow some workers to sort and pack during a lull in activities say like a lunch break or something... If you are wealthy then just pay someone as everyone knows that this type of gift goes down a treat, people just dont like admitting it in public.
  15. More than meets the eye...
  16. These are great, you must be having a good deal of fun. Keep it up!
  17. @anothergolI for one support the use of parts from other vendors, at some point in a designers journey into building satisfying and demanding models, the parts and techniques just become a means to an end. I remember some years back a builder presenting a model of a phantom fighter jet of such beauty and realism you couldnt take your eyes off of it. They admitedly cut parts, glued together, painted and created their own stickers to which no one batted an eyelid. It even featured on front pages of popular websites. That person had trancended to a model maker who just happened to use Lego bricks in their builds. I'd imagine a lot of people feeling they will never be able to build like that for the restrictions they put on their life. That said I do agree with upholding said restrictions on sites dedicated to TLG products and catalogue of parts after all if we cant share to others those platforms become rather unstable. Did I mention what a great build...
  18. Coming in late to the party but nice work!
  19. Fantastic...I can't even begin to imagine how you got your head around this build. What do you think it would be like structurally?
  20. @zephyr1934That being said I am still going to sacrifice a large space for my eventual layout revolving around a rural township with rail, well maybe a medium space If she lets me....
  21. @Darkkostas25Cheers it was a real learning excersise putting this one together. @JopieKYes it would i did a part layout in studio to test the scale and it starts to get big with only a half a ship in the canal...
  22. @LegoAzNo I never made one of these yet or instructions, happy to make the io file available for your journey, funnily i'd just dug it up for a rework. Oh yes he is in the comments above lol
  23. What they said....
