  1. Good work, this index! I like the idea of putting sets with the same theme/subtheme in a thumbnail-list, it makes browsing them much more easier and fun. Lovely to see that the one and only islanderMOC I ever created is among them. Keep up the good work *y*
  2. Hey welcome! Lots of university students around here, I happen to be one of them as well (first year that is) and I recognise the problems you are facing, especially the time shortage.... Got to go now.... you know why..... :-D
  3. I am very sorry for you and your family. I wish you all the best to overcome this hard time together with friends and family.
  4. Tanks for the great review (your mobile phone makes good quality pictures compared to mine ;-) ) I would really like to own this set on day, it's a classic. That table is so cool, made of a transparant piece. Nice touch. :-)
  5. This actually is a real legopiece, and quite a recent one too, from the worldcity sets. It's called "Flotation Ring, life preserver". They are really nice, come in three colours and are relatively cheap to get on Bricklink.
  6. If you go by this definition there are lots of other sets that use the same technique from the beginning of the eighties, because that would mean that this cute little car is made with SNOT techniques as well. After all the headlights and taillights are attached at angles other than from above, and this car is from 1980. 8-| So any set using this piece is made with SNOT techniques?
  7. Thanks everybody for the kind words :-$ I also like that tree (and the use of those flexible technic pieces to make the branches), very nice! It is on my wishlist....
  8. You sure have a lot of patience, waiting all those years to be able to post this topic... :-D Welcome!
  9. I believe there is thread already about movies that have recently been watched by our members, this is it! :-)
  10. The Beach Boys - Tears in the Morning *wub* *wub*
  11. Because today, the 21st of march, is the first day of spring I thought it would be nice to open a topic dedicated to MOC's with a sunny/summer/spring feeling. Post them here! Let me start by posting my pier with beach. Summer on! Simon. Brickshelf Gallery
  12. That's a brilliant idea! I saw your MOC boxes on Brickshelf and thought you were using some kind of non-lego cover, but now I see it actually has a lego print on it. Finally there is a positive thing to say about the Jack Stone-line. I think the "Snack Time"-one is my favorite. :-)
  13. Welcome to Eurobricks! What exactly do you mean by saying that? Are you going to overflow us with your opinions or quite the opposite? *wacko*
  14. My current project is a 1962 New York Checker Taxi in the same scale as my avatar picture, Legoland scale. Legoland scale (the same scale as the models in the four Legolandparks) means in this case that the car has to be in twelve wide (thirteen in the back), with chrome parts and as studless as possible... Right now I am waiting for a bricklink order with 100 1x2 plates in black and the same in white, for the checkerboard look on the sides. When finished it should look something like this:
  15. Welcome Nathan, good to see someone who is just as old as I am. I am sure you will enjoy your time here, with lots of inspiring builders all over the forum. Do you have some pictures of your collection, Brickshelf or something? :-)
  16. What a great fort is this! All those details look fantastic, good use of all the arches and I really like the minifig statues now, being dark grey. If only I had that many white bricks and arches... Keep up the good work!
  17. Happy birthday, all three of you Eurobrickpeople.....! *sweet*
  18. That is going to be quite a large Inn Mr. Tiber! I like those cornerstones. When making such a big building with that many "square meters" I would suggest that you increase the height of the ceiling/second floor. Instead of six bricks high I would make it nine or ten. That 'll make your building more spacious and on top of that you'll be able to add chandeliers (kroonluchters) hanging down from the ceiling. I am anxious to see the final result. And.... I would add another front door.... :-D Keep it going!
  19. The patient has to go in lying on top of the stretcher supplied, if it is just a hatch in the back of this airplane I doubt the whole thing will go through there. In short: I'll stick to the "entire-tail-flip-theory"... :-)
  20. I have obtained one of the more rare Piratesets in this part of the civilized world, namely the 6249 Pirate Ambush! :-) A bargain for 15 euros, used.
  21. Please ban this guy, he is doing it in This thread as well! 8-|
  22. Can some admin ban this guy? Please do not hesitate to do so! >:-( *n* Edit: You too...
  23. I think you made a nice raft, though with some strange features: Those round yellow pieces in the 6234 are meant to be logs, for floating, but on your raft they do not seem to touch the water.... Why is there a tree growing out of this vessel? Otherwise I think it's a nice idea to combine to existing legosets and make something new (that's what building with lego is meant to be, isn't it? :-D ) I like the sail made out of flags, and the lantern dangling in the mast adds a classic feeling to this MOC.
  24. Thanks for the compliment! I was trying to build something like this one: Quite similar to yours, but a bit more stretched... I also love these kind of firetrucks...
  25. V-LF-10C Hello Eurobrickers! I mentioned long ago in the "what are your projects"-thread that I was going to build a firetruck with pieces of the truck from set 7945. I bought this truck seperately off the internet and started MOC'ing with it. It was kind of hard to build-in all the equipment behind those great doors, but I managed to fit quite a lot of firefighting and diving stuff. Though there are four seats in this truck, it can only hold two minifigures with their helemets off (they are in the back, don't worry). Let me know what you think!
