  1. Just a random coincidence here, or have you yet identified the flag on the main mast to be of any country you know of? No historical meaning, just fooling around and mixing the Pirates and Western themes Pitty really that Lego only printed this "flag" (or rug, who knows?) on one side, other side is just plain yellow. What I really had in mind while creating this scene was something out of the movie Pocahontas, but then of course the timetable is all wrong because The New World got invaded much earlier in history.
  2. Found this on Brickshelf, maybe a Legoland-gift? There seems to be no serial number on the box. Lots of policemen, crooks and blue tiles though... http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=220073
  3. Wow! Ingenious, thanks for sharing this with the world Norro! *wub* If only I had so many rocks and green branches...... 8-
  4. Posting my city as well... Though this layout is not really big, it still took me a full week to complete. It is my first town with a monorail, and instead of putting it on big ugly black supports I thought it might be a good idea to integrate the track into the streets. Therefore I had to raise the entire scene by one brick, allowing the track to be on the same level as the cars on the streets. I used only legobricks to do this (mostly technic beams, and thick baseplates). It took nearly all my baseplates, because there have to be two layers: the bottom one with big gray baseplates, soccerfields and tan baseplates, and off course the regular streetplates on top. The train runs smoothly throughout the layout, underneath the castle-ruin I made a second stop so that the train can be completely hidden in the tunnel. It took some time to figure out what space the train needed, and all the buildings, fences and even flowers are placed accordingly. The start-stop switch at the red station is activated by turning the red seat in the center of the platform (the train will ride in the direction the minifig in the seat is facing). If I had had more rocks and straight rails I would have completely covered the space where the small bridge is in the back... If I only had.... I used tiles to connect the track, it is exactly four wide and fits perfectly between two baseplates. The red building that says Stadhuis in Dutch (translation townhall) I made by using a picture of a real townhall somewhere in the U.S. The firestation houses the 6340 laddertruck, this fits because the station has no backwall and so the truck is sticking out into the white building... 5. I would'nt use the heads of the indians in combination with Achu's (never knew the guy had a name :-$ ) head because all the Indians have big noses in their faces. Achu's face is not much alike.... But you are right, they might share characteristics. It's a shame really, that in the adventurers theme Lego only gave us a chief, no Aztec Peasants whatsoever.
  6. Hello, I find a lot of islander-and-pirate MOC's in the forums, a while a go however, I combined Pirates (soldiers that is) and Western-Indians in one scene. Has anybody else done that as well? :-D For those of you who haven't seen it on Brickshelf, enjoy! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=109891
  7. Hey Kahuka! I am so pleased finding my very own Islander MOC at the very beginning of this topic, long before I signed up for the eurobricks forum! It actually is a modified Enchanted Island: with two more baseplates added the river becomes an island, if you know what I mean, and by putting in some bridges, extra palmtrees and one castaway it quickly becomes quite a big scene. It is still the only Islander MOC I have made so far, but I really like this subtheme. I am still trying to get my hands on a 1788 set, which is tough when you live in a country that never released it...
  8. Has been done, just check the (beautifully designed by the way) Pirate Forum Hey, can anyone tell me why the personal photo I uploaded does'nt seem to appear underneath my name when I type a new message? X-O
  9. Let me join in and post my modified Imperial Flagship. The fotographs show two stages: one with the original hull, and one with th extended one It is basically the Imperial Flagship with four instead of three hull-pieces, a second mast and a captainscabin with interior. Off course I had to remove the beautiful steering system in favour of the cabin interior. I do apologize for the black lantern-tops on the back of the ship, I just needed the blue ones (only ones I have got in blue!) for my Ford Thunderbird.... By clicking the link you will go to my brickshelf site. I recently bought a second large sail off Bricklink and I already put it on the second mast, but I haven't found the time yet to take pictures of it... enjoy! http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=153216
  10. According to Amazon.de (Germany) the firestation will cost 59.99 euro and the offroad fire truck 9.99 euro, but I don't know if Amazon-prices are toystore-prices :-/
  11. Hello, my name is Simon Willems and I am new to this forum. I am not sure if this post really goes into the Hello My Name Is-topic, I am new so I don't really know where to post things.... After months of viewing Eurobricks for legonews/new sets and information I finnally decided to join in. I am an 21 year old criminology student from Amsterdam and I own about 500 legosets. Want to see how I use my Lego? View my Brickshelf at: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=SimonWillems Bye!
