  1. like the Castle theme from a few years ago, the one with the Dwarves and Trolls at least one of the factions will be fantasy based All the rest of the "manager's descriptions" have been our assumptions based on those 2 statements. The first statement could be referring to anything, like "it will have a lot of sets over a number of years" or "the bad guys won't be humans" or "lots of browns & speckled colours" or anything really. The second statement seems obvious.
  2. Yeah one of the sets will be a police helicopter
  3. Disney are trying to contracept babies that have already been born.
  4. It's a different approach, yes, I'm not saying either is better or worse (but I do have my suspicions ). The Little Mermaid was Hans Christian Anderson by the way. We are on a Danish toy website, you should be ashamed!
  5. Incredible! And very accurate-looking. I can't imagine spending 20 minutes making the sound effects while transforming the model though! Autobots, transform and roll credits by the time we're done.
  6. They won't make this. If it was half the size, that would be a stronger possibility.
  7. Retailers breaking street dates doesn't bother me so much now, considering the fact that I already have to wait 2 weeks AFTER the street dates for local retailers to finally have stock, I'm numb already haha. And S@H takes 3 weeks to send to me so what's a few extra days. Or weeks.
  8. If the wackiness of vehicles is a matter of opinion, we should create a poll thread to decide who should change their avatar! Thinking about the "mobile fortress", it could be something along the lines of from John Carter, or Metroplex/Autobot City (etc) from G1 Transformers. Obviously with a stone castle influence.
  9. Moral of the original story: be happy with what you have, and don't do deals with the devil. Moral of the Disney version: if you are pretty you can have everything you want, and life is a really fun sing-song.
  10. LOTR AFOLs go nuts (in a bad way) when the female knight doesn't appear as a minifig... Castle AFOLs go nuts (in a bad way) when a female knight does appear What can we learn here? AFOLs go nuts (in a bad way)
  11. Since we don't have piece counts on our boxes I was guessing with a bad memory... so that's a bit disappointing. I may have been thinking of online inventories, maybe they are different from box declarations. But licenced sets are priced higher for the most part. All you have to do is have a look down the Lego aisle to see how much cheaper City, in-house action themes, space & castle sets are than the equivalent sets from pretty much every licence. I think I heard though that the difference is less in USA than elsewhere. And yes, there are exceptions to this rule. So let's go further off topic a bit with some data: the following (non- Juniors, Duplo, Technic etc) 34 sets are $39.99 AUD on S@H: http://shop.lego.com/en-AU/catalog/productListing.jsp?_requestid=1708991 The part count for non-licenced sets is 250-300 in most cases. The part count for licenced sets is 180-230 in most cases. I can't see anything there that could account for such a difference on average, like all licenced sets having enormous parts, all non-licenced sets having 100 cheese slopes etc... it seems 6 of one, 1/2 a dozen of the other. The minifig count doesn't seem to be a factor either. I think it's fairly clear that you get less ABS for your money in licenced sets.
  12. Thanks for sharing, and welcome to the site! 1. Americans aspire to a magic ratio of 10c per part for non-licenced sets. UK pricing probably means 10p per part is a reasonable deal. Someone British may have better information there. So, someone buying a pack entirely for the Lego is probably paying triple. Ouch. 2. They do. This is the first time (?) TLG is offering both licenced & original products in the same line, and at the same price point. I don't know if the licenced packs have less parts or if the original (non licenced) packs are just relatively "overpriced". 3. Don't believe so. 4. We don't know for sure, but speculate that various part size and therefore total mass influences the price more than part count... who knows 5. I don't know if the price goes up because of the development for a 3-in-1 or if the price is based more on the substance, and therefore the added builds ADD to the value-for-money (or alleviate the lack of it)
  13. The frogs!
  14. Rats, I think I'll be getting most of these. Still don't like the command ship so I'll BL the villain, and I'll skip the MF. Black & red TIE... how could I turn that down? Black & orange X-wing... ouch! I'm glad that the "snowspeeder" looks nothing like the Episode V ones.
  15. I also would like to wee where it goes, where it's been, all over it in fact.
  16. Hubbub
  17. Plus it's Knights Nexo
  18. drama
  19. I feel the same way, and did so regarding Space Police 3, but I ended up getting the whole theme anyway. And then Alien Conquest & Galaxy Squad. They don't fit in with my other space themes, and I'd rather that they had. I get the feeling that even if this is too far removed from all of my castles & knights, I will still pay up. But I don't want any spinners/speedors etc.
  20. Exactly. This theme now has 4 threads in 3 different subforums
