  1. Region exclusive sets again... TLG is going backwards there. Whatever happened to globalisation? It's better to cancel them altogether than to advertise the sets on their website only for kids to find out that they can't ever get them (except through the after-market from overseas). In other news, I noticed that the SW Rebels carrier is not in the catalogue, and has a number that isn't consecutive with the other released sets. Does that mean it won't be available at retail (or perhaps will be exclusive -- which would be unprecedented considering the amount of those already)?
  2. ...and the Exo-Suit is sold out. Never to be seen again.
  3. Exo-Suit is $35 on S@H (30% off!), so if you don't have one this is your best price & probably last chance.
  4. friction
  5. That is the one. They have a small button cell battery already inside. There is a screw underneath if you need to replace it, not that any of mine have run out of power yet.
  6. Was it him!? Sounded different. Might have to watch it again, but it sounded a little bit removed from what I'm used to. Just like all of the Clone Wars voices took me a bit to get used to. Except Yoda, I never got used to him.
  7. Might take a while to get used to Darth Vader's voice in Rebels. And Ahsoka's long thin face.
  8. Thanks, that image answers my question. If you upload your photos to a 3rd party site (I use Flickr) you can post as many pictures on Eurobricks as you want. If you need help, there are tutorials here like this one.
  9. I still get them, but not every time.
  10. I, for one, would never have one unless they'd been "shoved down my throat" by TLG including them in sets. I didn't think I needed one or that they were as effective as they are. If they were available at retail I wouldn't ever have bought one. Now that I have experience with them, if I didn't already have a lifetime's supply I would certainly buy them from a shop if I needed a new one. But I don't think anyone would buy one unless they'd used one previously.
  11. I like how they say "especially for girls" in the Lego catalogue.
  12. Michael
  13. (Big W catalogue) $50 off for the Sandcrawler, $25 for the Helicarrier. $5 off for the Hailfire droid. (I suppose Anakin's starfighter & the battle droid carrier are Target & Kmart?) $70 for Emma's House is the best price I've seen. $100 for the pirate ship is a good price. Toyworld Layby sale catalogue has started. http://www.toyworld.com.au/?q=node/908
  14. Protocol droids! Clones!
  15. Here are some close-ups of the front section: Here is the back section:
  16. Keep them away from extreme temperatures, and take care if/when pulling them apart. I've never had anything crack/break except a small number of arms/sides due to arm removal.
  17. +1 to the "don't have a console, won't buy one just for the sake of buying a game so that when I buy an add-on pack for the actual Lego I can actually use the game part" club. I don't understand why it's so hard and "not worth it" to release this for PC, when all the other TT Lego games have been. I suppose it just means that my decision is made for me: I won't be buying this game despite my interest.
  18. That face looks good. But it looks too evil for unlicenced. I would be happy with that as the standard for LOTR orc faces, but it probably wouldn't go well with the fleshy human (etc) LOTR faces as they currently are.
  19. That makes sense. With all of the extra lights these 2 custom trains are sluggish too. Okay, I will try to get some more pics.
  20. That's an improvement, and much more suitable as a Castle minifig.
  21. On the left: face is too detailed. Torso is nice. On the right: face is okay but simpler or less cartoony would be fine too. Torso/legs are too cartoony, should have much less detail or be more "realistic" in design. Compare with these: Torsos are nice, faces are simple enough but with enough detail to be interesting. Yes, they look a bit cartoony, but it is at a charming level. Lego is not supposed to be 30cm die-cast metal statues.
