I played this game a bit 1-2 years ago, but I've always been a Blizzard fan so I've switched to Heroes since. I easily recognised Vayne & Garen.

But I think her helmet is a new colour in the show. I may be wrong. It would be nice to see Hera in a different outfit, and without the goggles.

Didn't Luke lose his blue lightsabre in Episode V? Am I crazy, or did he have a green one in Episode VI? That didn't make sense to me. Kylo Ren wearing a voice enhancing mask for no reason. (Except the rule of cool, which is debateable since he readily takes it off to expose a weedy nerd non-villian) Here's another one that annoyed me, Poe: "I'll come back for you" and tells the droid to get as far away as possible. Both leave Jakku and never return, nor intend to. Makes no sense. Such a waste of a character, such a pointless character. Unless the events of Episode VII give her a huge vendetta to be awesome in the next movie. I don't mind that.

Avoided spoilers, previews, discussion, pictures (except of Lego sets), everything since last year, bought the sets in September (well, not the MF or Kylo Ren's ship), saw the movie the other day. Haven't opened the sets yet. So here I am reading and offering my thoughts of the Lego, having seen the movie. Spoilers abound obviously, but why would anyone read this thread if they didn't want to see spoilers... I think for the most part that wave 1 was pretty good for the most part, and having seen some of the next wave, the Lego representation of the movie so far is more than satisfactory. Obviously that ship is the wrong colour and the wings don't do what they should (TLG may not be at fault), the speeder is too big (common issue with small sets, no complaint from me), snowspeeder (I didn't even see it in the movie) was a waste of a set. TIE, X-wing & transporter all seemed good to me, and the MF I think was fine. Regarding minifig inclusions, my only questionings were Phasma, but primarily because it was such a non-character in the movie. Pointless, shouldn't have existed. A sergeant trooper could've both filled the movie role and been the minifig. The other one was having Poe in the X-wing spoiled the movie a bit, since you were supposed to think he died already. But who else would you put in that set? Probably the right choice, as you can't really delay that ship to the 2nd wave. Now that Finn is in that new set with Kylo Ren I'm going to grab that and thereby avoid the 2 expensive sets. Pretty happy about that. Regarding Snake/Snoke/Snope/Snape whatever, we can't get a Lego rendition until we see him in true physical form, rather than in his Wizard of Oz (or Yoghurt the Great! Yoghurt the Wise! no, just plain "Yoghurt") appearance. And Luke needs to do something in the next movie before he's a minifig. Everyone else important is covered so far.

If we are lucky this could inspire more young space Lego fans, bringing about a market for exploration/adventure based system sets in a few years.

I stopped reading the Star Wars general discussion topic in Culture & Multimedia last year. I have decided not to read the rumours topics from this week until I've seen the movie. I'm still reading the SW Questions topic. I probably won't be reading the C&M topic until after all of these movies are done. But with Disney, that may never happen. This movie has been spoiled too much for me by people talking about pictures & videos they've seen that have nothing to do with Lego. I don't want to know anyone's name, gender, role, affiliation or anything. I don't want to know what planets are involved. Not until I watch the movie! Oh well.

By "cancel each other out" I meant if you overlay the colours you get grey. By "high striking constrast" I meant when the colours are next to each other. Colour use in art is different from colour use in real-life situations. If I was going to paint something I might use that contrast to direct the viewer's attention. I think I'll be grabbing multiples of the knight anyway, just not sure how I'll use them yet.

The round version of this? That would be the macaroni. There are 2x2 and 4x4 versions. It is in the "brick, round" category.

It's very true that in the past being left-handed was considered unfavourably, and the word "left" means weak. In some language the word means evil. Even my parents tried making me right-handed as a child. Also in many cultures to this day, your left hand is reserved for sanitary purposes - you'd better use your right hand for everything else! I use my left hand, but my right arm & right foot. It's annoying when items are contoured for the other hand! I struggle when cutting my left fingernails with my right hand (of course it's easier than cutting them with your left hand). I can't throw or kick properly with my left. I can write okay with my right hand or upside-down with my left, but sideways is not good. I always consider myself a lefty, except in regard to sport or those nut cases who play guitar the wrong way around. It's always a "wow!" moment when I see someone write with their left.

I never considered red and green as Christmas colours. More like red and white, throw in some dark green. But yes, the bright colours of Lego red and Lego green clash horribly. And complementary colours (not complimentary) means they cancel each other out, with high striking contrast. Yuck!

Are you saying that last week's snorefest was the mid series final? (Okay, the first half was good, but the rest...)

Yes, bright light orange, as in the colour on the CMF jester. Mostly just for minifig arms, plumes and a banner colour. I started to build a faction based on it a few months ago, and I'm trying to incorporate a recolour of this.

Red and green doesn't usually look good together. Dacta Futurons are another example of this. The knight looks excellent, the shield is pretty cool, but I wish the colour of both had been bright light orange or something like that, other than red blue green that we've had in recent years. I'm faced with a bit of a quandary with this guy, where does he fit with my other armies? The green dragons are too big already, and the bear/red shield doesn't fit. Hmmm

No, a decent jedi would give them a hiding. But they are supposed to be hunting down jedi so they ought to be able to beat a Jedi Bob like Kanan no problem, and handle half-decent ones okay. And Ahsoka would probably struggle against a sith.

The inquisitors have proper training and devote all of their time to the craft, of course they are going to be good, and together better than Kanan, who spends most of his time smuggling. Ahsoka spent a lot of time & training with the some of the best jedi around, of course she is going to show him up. Remember in Episode III when not even Saesee Tiin, Kit Fisto or Ageneeth Kothlar could last 10 seconds with Sidious despite being top notch jedi? When you're good, you're good.

Would be good, I hope for the new inquisitors too, an updated Sabine and Rex.
