  1. Um... I always (since first seeing the catalogue) thought he was a vampire. And that the other vampire minifigs were just more horror-movie style versions. No conspiracy, seems really obvious to me.
  2. I thought it was odd that that word wasn't mentioned once in that movie.
  3. Why is the wild boar still alive?!? Brilliant as usual
  4. To add to all of that, how many times has the eventual Ideas set looked much different from the proposal? We have known for many months roughly what we are in for. How many people do you think are sitting on the fence about the set, depending on exactly which minifigs & details will be included? 4 months is an exceedingly long time for Lego sets to be revealed before release. Besides regular catalogue themes, 1 month is usually generous.
  5. The title of the thread has changed!.. but sadly the location hasn't yet. I look forward to this "castle" theme disappearing into the action & adventure themes forum, and far, far away from the historical themes forum. This theme should be fun, but I don't like hot chocolate pudding in my scotch eye fillet steak. Blurgh.
  6. That is the point. 20 something pages of useless speculation that doesn't add anything. It's just a pointless post. Imagine if someone posted 10 times every week for a month "I wonder if it will be announced today", the thread would be full of annoying nothings.
  7. Planet of the Apes would be incomplete without Charlton Heston's voice and those ridiculously over-acted lines.
  8. So those minifigs don't have torsos? Makes this line a lot cheaper for me.
  9. Surely every kid in the world has seen the Gene Wilder version a billion times, it's on TV every 5 minutes or something. I still haven't seen the other one right through. In any case you can't go on the Internet these days without seeing this: I have been thinking this too. Hard part is all of the new moulds required for the minifigs.
  10. I was reading it like "murloc library"
  11. Well, when was Chima revealed? (And no I don't mean when was it leaked by Angeli not once but twice or even three times and was banned as a result - I mean officially revealed)
  12. I think you may be right. Interestingly though, Playmobil is really hard to find around here these days. REALLY hard.
  13. I would say that you are correct, but as to whether they are supposed to be specific characters I don't know. The torso & legs seem like random leftover parts to me.
  14. It's all on S@H, spend $100 (on SW I think) to get the Admiral Yularen polybag if you missed it before.
  15. I have castle (and other...) minifigs from 80s through to modern times. Some of the Kingdoms minifigs (2010) were "pink" where they should be white over red, some were double white printed. The Royal Knights (1995) were pink where they should be white over red. It's not a new thing. A bunch of people on this site reported their Kingdoms minifigs to customer service for a replacement with the opinion that they were "faulty".
  16. dead.
  17. I would like to point out that morally/ethically wrong is not the same as legally wrong. What is legal somewhere is illegal somewhere else. What is moral or ethical often depends on the individual, (and can influence changes of law,) but does not over-ride law. Laws are made to support the morals held by the majority, with the intention of being for everyone's good. But that isn't always the case. If you are caught breaking a law you don't agree with, unless that law is unpopular enough to have it changed, you will be charged. But that doesn't make that law morally/ethically correct or not. For some people, if it is illegal then it is therefore also immoral - they would keep a law they don't agree with for the simple fact that it is law. Some would suggest that IP is not a legitimate thing in a moral sense. It appears that some governments do not recognise IP in a legal sense. These people would have absolutely no moral objection to the buying & selling of goods that are not "approved" by certain companies who claim exclusive control of relevant IP. I don't personally believe that anyone has a moral right to "own" ideas or demand royalties etc, nor that people should blatantly copy other people's work for profit without acknowledgement - especially when art is involved. I think there's a line somewhere. People should get something for their efforts, but no one is entitled to complete control of everything.
  18. metal
  19. 2.5 to 3 months before we find out for sure whether the world is ending or good stuff is on the way... After what we've been through so far, I will go nuts if we have to wait that long without sneaky leaks!
  20. gothic
  21. Disney Princess D2C fantasy castle set... wonderful!
  22. Me too. Got creeped out regularly by the obviously fake costumed aliens. I watched the first few series of the show when it was restarted, but lost interest because it was too childish. I liked David Tennant though. Haven't watched it for a few years now, but I'll pick up these sets (if there are sets) for sure.
  23. You can colour-code and uniquely identify the main heroes by having a particular arm colour & facial print and nothing else. Nice unique shields (with that certain identifiable colour) would be good too. TLG won't do it because the target audience is children, but that is what I would like if we had multiple hero knights. It would give us the means to have armies of the same guy (if we bought multiples of sets) without them looking like armies of the same guy.
