  1. Yep, your turn
  2. I can never remember what movies have been used before or not. And no, that isn't Kevin Eldon, but it may be his doppelganger, haha
  3. So, the Fishing Store is AU$250 (next most expensive Ideas was $100*). That's modular building territory. I am wondering if that encourages people to reduce the size of their massive detailed mocs they think are going to pass review... Or, do they take this set as a precedent, and assume that "hey, they did it once before, they will surely do it for me too" (*I forgot about the rocket... whatever price that is. All the sets released so far have been <100 anyway)
  4. All of the fun in playing with Castle is when alliances change and now those factions are at odds. When one knight faction manages to bribe/convince a 3rd or 4th party into switching sides and turning the tides of the war. Oh no! Now the forest men are on the other team! Their combined army is bigger than ours! Lets enlist the M-Trons...
  5. Crap, now I need to get something again! Back tomorrow
  6. Live and let die?
  7. "A" happens a thousand times a day Why not post your frustrations in the dedicated thread instead:
  8. You can vote for as many as you want. I picked 2. But if you've already voted you can't change your vote, sadly. So if (like me, and others) you voted before Voltron was included in the poll, you can't add a +1 for that.
  9. Alien again. Probably the first time since Prometheus came out (whoops). Still my favourite of the franchise. 3 of his best
  10. The walker looks interesting, but weird with the shaggy beard. Like that flying dog thing from Neverending Story or Sebulba or something Only fired? Unless you mean "fired" like at the start of Episode VII on Jakku ie fired upon, or set on fire
  11. I understand the arguments for the "battle in a box" approach that TLG uses for themes that used to be primarily 1 faction per set, but I don't see why EVERY set must have it. Surely they could go half-and-half, some sets have the minifig mix with compromised build, some sets have a great build of just 1 faction. The kids that only get 1 set can get one of the substandard ones, and everyone else can get decent sets of whichever faction they want.
  12. Uh oh Too bad she doesn't look that great from behind, haha
  13. The light yellow is okay, but actually, tan (sand yellow) would've been more accurate!
  14. That's a really nice moc/vig. I wouldn't have thought that many fans of that show would want Lego.
  15. The project was also already shared on Eurobricks last year by member Vitreolum (Letranger Absurde). I got a good laugh. See his post at the bottom There are 3 more 10k club posts to go (9 down), and I expect that the next Ideas results will be posted soon after that.
  16. They opened a BL parcel from UK once, because it had an organic smell in the box. Possibly herbal? Well, only Lego was inside. "Going postal", haha. Well, you know, the courier & post guys are just the scapegoats!
  17. First movie I saw at the cinema. Got a bit scared by The Dip, haha. Was fine apart from that though My sister's first movie was Milo & Otis, she didn't fare so well.
  18. Did the banner text near the top left come from 1996? It has a white shadow/outline. My window is not the full screen width, but would be at least 1800, the (2nd) blue sky is to the left of the white menu thing, which is over a third foreground tree and a painter bee. (The first being hard left with the honey bee, the second being in the centre with the brown rabbit) It doesn't bother me personally, I know what it says.
  19. Very cool. If I was there I would've spent over an hour watching it. Well done by everyone
  20. Customs officials having a laugh smashing boxes around
  21. My last order was similar, "arrived" in Alexandria (I have suspicions about that "fact") at ludicrous speed then took @2 weeks to arrive after that, compared with the usual story: longer initial delay then delivered only a few days after that.
  22. It's all a waste of time when all I ever hear in the Lego aisle is from middle-aged women (let's face it, these are the people buying the vast majority of Lego sets. Not AFOLs, not kids, not teens, not dads, but rather someone else's mum) saying "what about this fire engine / helicopter, that's nice, he'll like that" followed by mumble mumble by the brother/friend/cousin who was looking bright-eyed at the Star Wars, Ninjago, Super Heroes or so.
