I love how area and splash damage only affects enemies and not companions...

Helicarrier is not a UCS set and has no UCS logo simply because it isn't a Star Wars set. (It may have a similar sticker, but that is irrelevant.) Ultimate Collector Series is a Star Wars thing.

Don't know about the standard TIE, but someone posted a yellow mining guild one, some time last year -
Agreed. All those brackets & technic parts inside sets these days, they're very hollow. Lightweight & sturdy. Partial interiors should be easier now. Scenario 1: crap! A Falcon? I just bought a snowspeeder, I can't afford it right now, I'll have to save up and get it a bit later! Scenario 2: wow, a Falcon? Forget about the snowspeeder I was about to get, I need to keep my money for this!

Is the rocket in minifig/system scale? I've heard it's huge. That lunar module is not. -
Haha! Other people treading on Lego is always funny. Not a meme, but a comic, The Argyle Sweater last week:

I suppose couriers are probably unnecessary, I was thinking that the boxes were bigger than they are. (Empty boxes aren't all that heavy either.) Parcel post is probably the way to go. UCS sets are sent inside bigger cardboard boxes (often big enough to carry 2 sets). You can use these (or any) with bubbles or foam to pad the Lego box.

Same. I noticed the Ghost in more shots than before. Curiously, there was one of it above Scarif before the rest of the fleet had warped in, and then moments later it warps in...

I picked it up at 20% off last year when I thought that was the best deal we were going to get... haha -

Just out of curiosity, has Assault On Hoth been discounted anywhere else? (I understand it is only available through Lego, so probably not, but anyway...) In Australia it is exclusive to Target (& S@H), who yesterday discounted it (and the Batcave) 50%. I heard it sold out in minutes. (Probably mostly to local scalpers.) Obviously it didn't sell well previously, but it's not even 1 year since first release! Not a great UCS, not a great playset for $400, but for $200 (AUD) it's an excellent deal. Any other UCS that has taken such a huge hit? -
Courier. In a very large cardboard box. Or collapse the box.

Third 2016 LEGO Ideas Review - Guessing Game
Artanis I replied to Robert8's topic in General LEGO Discussion
We already knew that! But with the announcement, (which only affects new submissions,) it is even more obvious that TLG is not very likely to approve existing Ideas like those. Also, I still can't change my vote -

Yeah, you can go that far too. I tend to believe that the story is at least mostly true -

His existence is canon, but any of the details in Legends is now not. Only thing we know is that Palpatine said he was wise & powerful, could create life, and was killed by his apprentice (we assume who that is) after teaching him everything. He could be a purple rathtar with a magic carpet for all we know. Until he makes another (confirming) appearance we officially don't know what he would look like, so TLG won't make a minifig of him. -
Latest CMF series impact on Historic themes
Artanis I replied to SirBlake's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
If what you want is a cheap economical car and all that's available is a 2-seat million dollar Italian machine, you would be disappointed. Not because you don't like what's available but because it's not what you personally are looking for. Some people are looking for big bunches of the same minifig, and aren't finding it here. I don't think it's a complaint, just acknowledgement. I will hunt down an elf and a dwarf (not that I like him much). I don't do the ancient history stuff, so, more gladiators for everyone else! -
Saw both. Wasn't sure which one you were referring to! Maybe there is a 3rd... Nice set (nothing special of course, but it's iconic and a nice small display piece). I can (and will have to) live without it, so good luck to those at the convention who want it. You have to win a raffle in order to buy it? Makes sense but sounds so cheap. "Congratulations! You have won....... an invoice"

Crap. Was going to give that one a miss. What's the bet the torso sells for billions on BL. My local source for CMFs has gone, so the aftermarket is my only way of getting multiples without multitudes of unwanted minifigs
-
Ah, you are right! Apart from the colour, it's light bluish-grey.

Don't know if there's an easy way to remove a "difference" comparison in BL wanted lists (I know how to do it in Photoshop, haha), you may get an answer elsewhere on the forum or on BL but what I would do is bring up both lists side-by-side and delete (or cross out if on paper) as appropriate. You can part out a "wanted list", it would be good to be able to part out a "have list" and have it do the comparison for you automatically! If you have a wanted list (A) for the moc, and a wanted list (B) for the set, then when you look at all wanted lists lumped in together you can easily see the parts that appear multiple times, remove them as appropriate and then once that is done you can delete the list (B) for the real set (what's left of it). But again, that is all manual. -
It's a bit disappointing, a lot of nearly-laughs, but not much that makes you laugh out loud. Not the best from Mel Brooks or Leslie Nielsen in that respect.

I think that is the point. If you want a Rebels set, you'd better rush or it will retire before you grab it. If it isn't Rebels, then you have plenty of time. -

It is typically 1-2 years before retirement. That is not a hard-and-fast rule, of course. -
In the same boat as you, every year. But, we're not actually "entitled" to anything... so starting this year I've set aside a purchase for the promotion period. I will be buying the Rebels Combat Frigate to get me over the $200 required to avoid hefty postage. In recent years there has been a UCS (I use the term loosely of course!) released at this time, some people snap that up then. (Obviously it's not for everyone, me & perhaps you included) There is usually a minifig revealed earlier in the year that comes out in US sometime somewhere, then elsewhere in October/November.
