Yes, so 1 week to go Anything already out or confirmed is listed on Brickset, so if you're ever unsure you can check there. I was wondering the same thing yesterday but looked on the shelf to see a solitary astromech, so I'd say "no", and hope (I already assume, dangerous I know) that this Scarif trooper is available here too.

I see the green futuron made an appearance, (it's too bad that the print isn't the same as the others were) will he or the green classic be a character?

Sauron Renovates: The New Black Gate
Artanis I replied to Captain Braunsfeld's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Where is the letter box? Does Sauron not receive mail? The bills have to be delivered somewhere! Very cool idea -
The direct-to-video films are mostly aimed at kids, we are definitely not the target audience. I grab most of them, (since there's a certain amount of enjoyability) but with that in mind.

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Artanis I replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If TCW & past Rebels releases are anything to go by, any Rebels sets released next year would be from series 2 or 3, unless it's from 4.01 (quite annoying) -
Sorry (or not) to go back to yesterday's news (or non-news), but the retail poster from Taiwan was possibly stating the availability of the set at that particular department store, not the original D2C release. It seems early to me, but I don't know how UCS sets (or any Lego, for that matter) are released in Taiwan... certainly in Australia it is different from Europe & US, since we don't have Lego brand stores.
-
You can talk about them in the other thread already (where they belong)? There are plenty of other topics for you to post in too, why do you always want people to stop posting in here about forthcoming sets?
-
I look at that to extrapolate the local prices: Bracing myself for the final impact...

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Artanis I replied to Wardancer's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Looks like it's supposed to be 6080 from 1984 (minus the 12 minifigs & 4 horses!) but with the 1992 dragon, haha. -
Voltron & Ship in Bottle IDEAS approved
Artanis I replied to Hoth Rebel's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The whole point of ships in bottles isn't just that it's a ship in a bottle and looks nice on display, but rather the challenge to build the ship inside the bottle. It's like building a big house of cards out of Lego. So it is a bit of a cheat set, and unless you also have a real ship-in-a-bottle that you put together yourself, then you're missing the point of the experience! It may as well be a snowglobe or a 2D mosaic. That's not to say that it doesn't look good as a display piece, but it's still cheating! -

If it's a NK piece then it's okay to do anything to it? -
I'm sure if there was a proper Castle theme happening at the moment there would be people inspired to amass soldiers again

Fix the poll, you need to allow an option of "none", and multiple selections possible.- 47 replies

LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!
Artanis I replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It will probably just reduce the quantity of updated sets and figures. I think it will also mean that there will be a lot of scenes/models/minifigs that won't be represented (that would have otherwise), or at least delayed by years. Still no sign of "old Luke" after nearly 2 years, for example -
Rule of thumb at the moment for Lego is 140-160%. Star Wars sets are at the higher end of that. $1300 is about right, sadly.

Well, you can't get much better than that! More hook on the beak, maybe, but that's it. Hello, cocky!- 8 replies

Not if it's being revealed next month (1st of September for a mid-month VIP release), which is what has been reported
-
Correct, and looked very similar. Apart from size, obviously

I find it quite funny that people exist who would buy a UCS MF as a Christmas present for kids. I wouldn't even buy the system one as a Christmas present for kids! It's a big world with such different people in it!

Complete with blazing sword... -
Not a bad projection selected (obviously none are perfect) and very well represented. My favourite overview is Goode's map, but the interruptions can be a distraction. A very nice (huge) display piece! The most interesting maps for me either show elevation, vegetation or political boundaries. So I really like how you've represented elevation with both colour and 3d.

LEGO Ideas Discussion
Artanis I replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Definitely with you there, I thought it was a very high chance. I wonder if it was just that they weren't prepared to approve 3 or more at once? There are all sorts of possible reasons of course. -
Torso is from Rock Raiders (hands are changed to black from yellow) Head is from Ninja (mouth print has faded significantly) PS You're better off uploading photos to an external site (Flickr, Brickshelf etc, or a free image host like imgur etc) and pasting the url here than attaching files to this site.
