  1. Actually I think by following the structure of your examples* he would actually say something like (as a statement, not question) "Love NY, I do" or "Love for NY, have I". But I would also expect it to be rendered as "NY, I love" since that uses only the original words. * typo'd exmaples... what is that? A bunch of Canadian ex-pats?
  2. So take a run-up and enjoy it! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee... *splashes into empty wallet*
  3. You didn't do that with Alien Conquest? They even had tripods...
  4. Thanks for saving me from having to buy & build this set. I like watching stop-motion of building sets, particularly ones I'm not wanting to pay for. Time lapse is just as good. I notice that you build multiple identical things at once rather than one after the other, that's what I do too. I get so bored at building the same rocket engine again and again... much better to do them all at once.
  5. Too funny. You'll have get another...
  6. Well, this wouldn't be the 1st time TLG has made the leader of the "bad guys" a wizard. 1993, 2007, 2010 & now 2013. Then there's Saruman, but that one was Tolkien's idea. Actually this would be the 3rd time the wizard also has a dragon. (Unless you count the gargoyle/statuette as a real baby dragon, then it's every time.)
  7. Awesome, some sharper photos and it would look amazing!
  8. Well if you have a look here you can see all the known Fabuland sets released. Quite a few of the buildings have numbers on them. Have a look at the pics and set inventories to see if you can find what you're looking for? As far as streets etc, if it has a number, it has a number. That's it. The rest is up to your imagination.
  9. You can either copy the URL as in the first part of my post, or if you follow CloneOP's direction you can use whatever method your browser has to identify the URL. In Chrome, you can just right-click and select "Copy Image URL". In Firefox I think you had to go to Tools->Page Info then look for the image you want under "Media". All you need to do to post any Flickr photo on EB is click on the share box, select the BBCode option, select the size from the drop-down menu, then copy & paste the text directly into your post. This is the result: May 2013 - Retiarius Gladiators by Thrashq4g, on Flickr
  10. If you set your Pro account to auto-renew, the pricing will remain as is, until you cancel. (I am paying $45 per 2 years.) If you don't already have a Pro account, it is too late to get one, and your options are now a 2TB account ($500 per year!) or an ad free account ($50 per year!). So if someone recently purchased a Pro account they are very fortunate (if you value ad free use & stats and intend to have more than 1TB... if they don't, they can get a refund if they cancel).
  11. New way. Click on the image until you find a button that says "More ways to share" (it looks like a box with a curved arrow coming out of it), click on "Grab the HTML/BBCode" then select the size you want from the menu. Copy the appropriate text. (If you don't want to copy the entire box then delete it later, just use the cursor keys + shift key to select the URL for the photo.) edit Or that!
  12. As far as we know, the same head and torso is used in the Black Gate, Corsair, Orthanc, Forge & Warg sets. (Unfortunately)
  13. Just noticed that Flickr has changed its limit, non-paying users can now store up to 1TB of photos! (Still unlimited for pro) I know many members were avoiding using Flickr because of the limit of 200 photos for free accounts, so there you go - Brickshelf becomes less "compulsory-ish" as an option.
  14. You missed it by a few decades... But yes, me too. I've got everything I want that's out, just gotta keep telling myself I don't need any Turtles.
  15. You'll find plenty of occasions in the movies where Frodo & others pronounce them as the short a as in "can"
  16. It's excusable for someone who read the book well before they watched the movies, and never studied Tolkien's word/name pronunciation - but only because it's from habit, they should know by now. I thought it was Sawron rather than Souron until watching the movies. I know a guy who says "Shellob" and also "Magnet O" (he would've read many X-Men comics before any movies were made).
  17. How many? INITIALLY a VIP exclusive, ie VIP members can get it before official release.Well I know what I'll be doing on 17th of June...
  18. True. I saw one that covered the first half of the year, but there was nothing for June. (Unless it had Technic, in which case there was nothing important!) If we don't get them next month, it will surely be July.
  19. Must be a great movie...
  20. I will probably be unable to contain myself. That includes Orthanc... Orthanc is confirmed for us as 1st of July so I imagine the other sets will be released by then. Makes little sense to release them after it. Start of June is when I'm expecting them to pop up, mid June they should be widely available. But that is just my educated guess.
  21. You'll need a sizeable amount, as the new guys have a different blue. It might look a bit strange with only a handful if you have many Crownies.
  22. Apparently this happens with them, it recently happened for LOTR sets too, they advertised the new sets but delivered old ones. It was found that they had the same number... not very professional...
  23. Stephanie has an electric guitar in this set: Not that too many marching bands use those.
  24. Thanks for sharing. Perhaps you could try attaching the ballista to a horse and add a photo if it works. I would say that the "turret" part is just a small shelter on the road for a soldier to use as a guard-post where he can hold position out of the elements. I appreciate your honest score of 6, most reviewers give everything an 8-10 if it's okay+, and everything else if they thought it was terrible.
