  1. Just need to add Bard, and differentiate the 2 Elronds.
  2. You have missed all of the 13 dwarves, Yazneg, Bilbo, the other barrel elf, Azog, Radagast, the Hobbit orcs, Beorn, Necromancer, Haldir, both Gollums, Laketown set dudes and the Rohan soldier dammit ninja'd on most of them...
  3. I recall reading that the opportunities for other new themes were a higher priority - ie LOTR/Hobbit, Superheroes, more Ninjago. The sets were designed. We have seen some of them, I think some were adapted into Galaxy Squad. You are right in that they say "3 core themes" but in reality with Star Wars, original space theme takes a huge backseat. Also, everything is now an action theme except Creator, Technic, some City & Friends.
  4. No, I mean northern hemisphere spring. Because in the southern hemisphere it will be autumn. March I think, but it may be later, I don't accurately remember.
  5. The red team is supposed to represent speed. If they did do it, it would be a sleek ship or vehicle. I personally doubt it though, as the tendency has been for bigger structures to be modular, which makes them bulky and not very fit for speed.
  6. A real throwback, but better. I find it hilarious to see the bite marks, scuffed print and cracked chin guard on the classic spaceman!
  7. My opinion is reflected in the following 2 comments. The middle bit from Aanchir sums up the "existing canon", they just made it up as they went. For this movie, they're just making it up as they go, and things that some wouldn't think go together will be put together. That's how kids play anyway. I converted a space base for my pirates, to fight against the "other" castle factions...
  8. We have a set number though, so more likely it's not.
  9. I never realised until a few years ago that those megaphone pieces when used in space sets were supposed to be "blasters"... I thought they were just that, megaphones. (Why would you have them in space where no one can hear you scream etc, but hey, those space sets had battery powered sirens too... and we've all seen Star Wars with their noisy spaceships) I also thought the other "ray gun" pieces were video cameras, scanners etc. Perhaps some were. They didn't look like guns to me. These stud shooters look like those radar "guns" the police used years ago for speed detection. Why are all these clones running around clocking the droids' speeds?! "Sir! That droid is going 17km/h above the speed limit!" "Get his number and give him a ticket, trooper." Sounds like a job for Inspector Rex... I'll have to update the photo with the new speedgun!
  10. Toyworld have Kingdoms Joust for $160. (Normally $200, even though RRP is $180.) Birchall's Christmas catalogue starts today, they have the Sydney Opera House for $350. I picked up the new minifig DK book from Myer, it's in the catalogue for $34 down from $50. A good trip down nostalgia road for AFOLs, even if it is aimed at kids. It is more in-depth than the previous minifig book and includes minifigs from all the popular and unpopular themes & factions of each year. Comes with 3 minifigs. FYI if you were curious.
  11. The Lone Ranger. Under-rated. Get rid of the bookend crap with the kid at the carnival and it's a really good movie. Probably a bit much for kids at times, but very entertaining.
  12. The necromancer has nipples in that poster?! He looks like a cross between a gorilla and Skeletor
  13. For Woof, you could just do the tail hiding behind something? As he originally appeared in the 3rd book. He was Wally everywhere except NA or perhaps only USA I believe. Apparently "wally" is a childish euphemism there (elsewhere the euphemism is "willy") so the publishers had it changed to Waldo.
  14. I meant bring the bongo ashore or jump instead of getting in the water and crawling along the rope, not why didn't they use the force to save Jar-Jar. Haha
  15. I noticed that it is in Kmart again, would they price match? Their price is $69 if not.
  16. Almost all of these sets are going to be a challenge to pass on. Some nice blues on 3 sets I was originally going to ignore. Some great minifigs in all the others...
  17. Woohoo, tag giveaways! Sign me up too, please.
  18. Completely forgot about that scene. Was it from the movie or deleted scenes? After 5 years of The Clone Wars, my immediate thought was "why don't they just use the force to bring it ashore, or force jump?" Children's TV has a lot to answer for.
  19. I like the new clones this year, and these two are excellent. The helmets are so much better than the original Episode III helmets, a lot less chunky. But I agree about Gree looking like he's wearing braces/suspenders to keep his pants up... quite funny. Half expect him to come with a bottle of whiskey. The insignia on the red one's legs isn't crisp, hopefully that was just a misprint. Everything else looks very nice.
  20. Orc Wars. So bad it's okay. Not much of it is new, but kudos for being the only movie I know of with orcs in USA, and in the present day too.
  21. I'm pretty sure that the 2 sets will be available even if they aren't repackaged (which would be cool if they were, but an unnecessary extra cost).
  22. Also, included in the catalogue is the Arkham Asylum. (20% off, but worth mentioning that it's advertised so should probably be in stock.)I have not seen that camper van in stock for 9 months or more.
  23. True or not, that's a very good reason.
  24. You got the touch... You got the power...
