What an amazement to me, how well it turns out for how cheap it is! Question: how long do you leave it to soak? I tried a few times last night. First few efforts had scratchy results. I got better results using hot water (from the tap), leaving it in there for a few minutes, and rubbing the paper away rather than scratching. I found it difficult to remove the paper without scratching, but if you leave an extra tab that isn't printed on, you can scratch that paper away and easily rub away the rest of the paper. Then cut off the extra tape. This photo was taken the morning after: I just need to cut straight, fix the "white" in the original image (disappointingly printed off-white ) and not get ink on my thumb.

Brilliant! Colours are really good, but if you stuck a trans red plate somewhere it would be perfect. And using the background makes this a million times more awesome.

The standard mini-modular 8x8 makes it a bit limited, so I think you should make a "full sized" castle using this technique, but space the towers out a bit. That would do it better justice I think. I don't like the flag though, it seems a bit too big for the size of everything else. I'd prefer it a single stud height, but then you lose your wavy look. Good work over all. I like the walls, turrets and entrance.

Series 4 didn't make it anywhere in retail. But it was available in Aus on S@H, which is more than most countries.

The builds are a pretty good representation. I think if TLG ever made these, Brain would have to be a minifig with a special mold for the head. (That won't work for Cuusoo though.) The minifigs are quite well done, but I think Mad Cat should be grey with black stripes? I wish they hadn't "revealed" Dr Claw. Totally not what I'd hoped for, he was so much cooler when he was just a metallic arm behind a chair. Also, I had a crush on Penny... (who had pigtails I'm pretty sure)

Who knows. I never quite understood what/how the whole "bring balance to the force" thing was supposed to mean/make sense.

Spanglish? Hmm, reminds me of Pre Vizsla's ship. And the wings do have the illusion of differing lengths.

Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! I figured that perhaps Yoda & Obi-Wan became force ghosts on the verge of death instead of actually dying? Darth Vader's lightsabre doesn't quite go through Obi-Wan, he's already disappeared, the robe remains intact. It seems to me that there has to be some kind of method you need to learn in order to become a force ghost, rather than by how strong in the force you are. After all, Dooku was stronger than Obi-Wan and gave Yoda & Anakin a very good run for their money. He could've been a Dark Force Ghost . Mace Windu was supposedly at Yoda's level or second to him. And Palpatine wiped the floor with the lot of them. Maybe.

No Lego in the upcoming Target or Kmart catalogues, and we've just had some sales... by Murphy's Law, that means all the new sets will be in stock from Thursday onwards...

Story goes something along the lines of maverick Qui-Gon learnt it from some other maverick jedi (I forget who) but hadn't figured out how to "appear" before he died. So he is a force ghost in a way, and teaches Yoda & Obi-Wan how to be full-blown ghosts when they die. How Anakin becomes a ghost in ROTJ is a plot hole that is not accounted for.

You put your CMFs in with your Crownies? I've been wondering where to put mine. Could be the best option. Do you have any "evil" CMF knights? I haven't figured out where to put mine yet.

Megablok me, why do I read this thread? So many plot spoilers in so few pages. Thanks for ruining all the surprises for the movie that doesn't come out until the end of the year... None of the sets have fate spoilers in them, why must the discussion?

Probably doesn't stack with the other deals, but the Speedorz are $9 at Myer, which is about 1/2 price. I understand that these sets don't really appeal to AFOLs, but for those of us buying for kids...

It is a mid-year release, at the absolute earliest it will be available during the end-of-financial-year toy sales. June/July at the earliest, maybe August.

Yes, unfortunately the last "bad guys" castle was in 2005. When I can get all the rest of the shelves I want and reorganise the Lego storage, I'll get out the other castles again and try to put something decent together for the Kingdoms Dragons too. Should be a lot easier, as it will really only be tying the Dragon Prison & gate together, as opposed this one needing to go a long way around.

More shelf space for Chima, Ninjago & Movie? Kids love it. Win-win, right? AFOLs love that MB too? Or that. We got what we were going to originally, but spread out over 3 years.
