  1. If Darth Vader had a breathing apparatus thing like Darth Malgus he wouldn't be able to turn his head to the side.
  2. Who's Friggin' Dan? - I'm unapologetic of my ignorance of Star Wars character names that are not stated during the film (especially those without dialogue). That includes Figrin D'an (who I can now tell you is the Bith bandleader from the Mos Eisley cantina scene in Episode IV). So I asked that back-handed question. Title given by the quick-on-the-trigger Brickdoctor roughly 5 seconds after my post.
  3. This is how my Crown Lions castle layout looks. (Siege weapons don't fit through the gates, so they are parked out the front.) I intend to get more horses and more soldiers on the walls. When I get the movie set, I'll probably sit the gate mode in the middle of the court, and the mounted knights can train/race/joust around it. Use it as some sort of keep. Also, I was very unsatisfied with the size of the Red Dragons base, so I thought about building a more substantial fortress to augment it. It originally started as a "what could a real set look like" and turned into a "what can I even build with what I have to make it slightly enclosed", but anyway... I wanted the gateway to be wide and high enough to fit the carriage, siege weapons & also mounted knights through. Turned out the gate pieces aren't wide enough, so I had to change that a bit. If I can get some more green plates, red cheese and dark grey stuff I will go the rest of the way around and make it a bit more substantial. More photos of my Castle 2013 setup at the bottom of this page.
  4. I don't remember anything, so there was either nothing or it was all City & Ninjago. (City = non interesting to me = doesn't stay in memory) Strange it's not on Lasoo.
  5. I just saw that the spaceship is reported at the London Toy Fair as 79 pounds.
  6. Hopefully FBTB will get us some more detailed info. So far they've only reported on SW.
  7. Try reading the FAQs and tutorial section on the site.
  8. I may be wrong, but I thought I heard that the red test helmet accidentally appeared in a few sets instead of the correct black version.
  9. It says that most sets didn't have minifigs present, but rather had a card that showed them.
  10. So who's Friggin' Dan? Is he a Bith? If so that's our 8 sorted. 3 Biths, that goes against the norm for TLG, I wasn't expecting that. Everyone I told 3 was probably not going to happen can do a little dance.
  11. I don't think he's that great OT-wise. EU made him into something, but I don't read that stuff and neither do a lot of people. Jango was cooler in the movies than he was, and he was only in one. Kids back in the day probably saw him as awesome because you couldn't see his face and knew nothing much about him, making him mysterious. He was forgettable to me, just like all those rebels that everyone seems to know the names of.
  12. I forgot about that one, I don't think they'd make that version either!
  13. It's canon now, it's too late. He definitely shouldn't change it. If it was a book in the EU that's a different matter.
  14. It would include a lot of rare named characters and have pretty much no play features. TLG won't make a set like that, we just have to make our own.
  15. Annoying twists like that would be expected more if Christopher Nolan was doing SW, instead of Abrams. And full of holes (if you think that's an oxymoron, then consider it like swiss cheese...) If the rule of 2 stands, then Darth Vader would've had to be the master, but that makes no sense considering the PT. Yeah, I can't reconcile that idea.
  16. Haha, nice comic. Useful model too. Fairly true to the Galaxy Squad aesthetic and also looks like it could be a set for the most part.
  17. Only staff can do that, so why not ask in the talk to the SW Moderator topic? Brickdoctor is vigilant so he may see your post before you ask it in there anyway, but if not...
  18. To be honest, I partly want the logo to be stickers, for the option of using them on any brick at all, and not having to make decals for that. Either that, or to give us a really accurate source to make decals from, rather than the redrawn versions out there.
  19. Haha Deathleech you have too many. I see that the LOTR army thread has officially died, since everyone seems to be posting theirs in here now.
  20. Special limited edition polybags for this sort of thing will never have a unique part. So no Sauron. Recolours and new prints are common options. Blue-coated Bilbo for example. As Faefrost has mentioned, it will most likely be a character from the game that is reasonably well-known, but we don't have already. (An alternate print for Thorin or Bilbo etc.) But how about a white Azog? Galadriel (if she isn't in a set later)? The unfriendly dude from Lake Town? Lindor the elf? Okay, probably not him. Burnt-face Thranduil? 2nd age Elrond was only in the prologue of the LOTR game and intro for the 1st movie, perhaps Thror or Thrain are playable and can be made with an existing beard? So many possibilities. I mean, who expected the Spanish Inq Elrond? No one!
  21. Stacks of Haunted Houses available, or none, depending. Shop around! $190 is an excellent price, shame I got it from S@H for $270 before we knew where it would be available. I think they meant you will have to wait another 3-4 days after their message? Or did they send that weeks ago?
  22. TLG considers hands+arms+torso to be one entire piece, because of the frail connections. Removal of an arm (which would be a compulsory play feature included in any playset featuring this scene. Apart from Han shoots Greedo, it's the only thing that happens) is considered "illegal" to TLG. So it makes no sense to include this obscure guy, who I never knew had a name up until debate over who would be included in this set. There are 2 things of note regarding this guy. 1, he is really badly dubbed. 2, his arm comes off and bleeds everywhere (something that Lucas didn't think to "fix" in later editions for some reason). Unless TLG decides to give us an extra torso with the arm not attached, but then you'd have to take off the legs and head and put them on the other torso - not a very fun play feature.
  23. Hey you guys are forgetting baby Luke from episode 3! Could be like Maggie Simpson... I thought as much.
  24. Thanks, that's even clearer! No bricks with studs, that's the camera-ish part..
