Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

It's a better value set than the Sith ship. It's a better ship than the other Republic ship. 4 awesome minifigs. -

big behind. I was going to get Movie & Princess sets as part of the deal. Oh well, save the money for SW day & Bricklink. that is not what I typed! And I used a capital A. -

Does anyone know if the 3-for-2 at Myer includes the catalogue priced sets? Or does "cannot be used with other offers" on the advertising disqualify them? -
Blacktron vs the rest would be pretty cool, but the last "all human" space theme was in 1996. (Only once were the aliens at peace with the coexisting humans!) The last human bad guys were in 1994. Star Wars has taught us nothing. New space theme? There will be aliens, they will be the bad guys.

More great additions to the originals. That ship reminds me of the Unitron Star Hawk. Funny that you should post a hybrid SP monorail train, I'm currently working towards building a train but still haven't settled on whether it's SP1, SP2 or Ice Planet. I have the windows for each but only one train base, so I have considered doing what you've done here, except that I was only going to have 1 cell each side. Well, now that you've posted this, it seems a bit like copying, so I think I'll hunt down another base or two and make separate trains! I already have some spare big green domes so I reckon I'll start with SP2 and build a station to go with it. I think I will steal your idea of putting the cells sideways though, I was worried about their 6x6 footprint.

"I hate sand" Desert sand, sand, sand, sand coloured rocks, sand... it's not the kind of setting I'd like the movies to continually revisit. There are so many other (far more interesting) planets to choose from!

Boring old Tatooine again?!? Why? 6 out of 7 movies had scenes there already. Jabba (and everyone else) is dead, no need to go back there. I have a bad feeling about this.

Stop Motion vs. Time Lapse vs. Sped Up vs. Real Time
Artanis I replied to smoothbit's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
#1 is my favourite to watch, but it's also the most work to produce. Considering over 4000 pieces... Probably the easiest to do is time lapse photos, but then you're gambling a bit whether the photo gets taken at the best time or not. (Your hand might be obstructing the view a lot.) Maybe you could try to set up video camera or 2 and then you can use the footage you like, speed it up or cut out the inactive bits. Much easier to make, but it means your hands will be visible. -

You mean "Freedom Friday, Except On A Tuesday"

Finally the Lego Movie came out, so I watched it with some dudes. The cinema was mostly filled with kids and younger teens (and parents). I was in tears a few times, laughing at part usage & set references and the non-fluid Lego-y movement. But the best bit for me was , I just lost it. Then when that was hilarious! I might see it again tomorrow? Cheap Tuesday and all that, but in 2D this time.

I think there must be too many AFOLs in my area, every set worth getting multiples of disappears quickly.

Forest Ambush is still available where you live? Wow, it sold out quickly near me last year, haven't seen it since. I think they only came out in August or September too.

Ends this Sunday. -
Incorrect spelling/grammar/punctuation due to lack of knowledge is one thing, and that sort of thing can be overlooked a bit on this international site, but using the number "2" in place of words (other than "two" of course) is something entirely different. Staff usually refer to that sort of text/chat speak as "lazy" and not appreciated on this site for adults. If he was poking at minor spelling issues then you can complain. If a moderator is late to the party and thinks he's gone overboard, then they will step in.

That's what I thought earlier before doing the sums... then obviously did some incorrect assumption based on the points I have and "reward" available, coming up with a value that seemed strange That'll teach me for trying to be informative. Thanks for joining to post! -

S@H has double VIP points for 1-15th of April. So you get 4 points for every $3 you spend, and then 100 points gives you a $7.50 voucher. (So every $75 you spend gives you $7.50 discount. Not brilliant, but for rare sets that you can't get at retail it's the cheapest time to do it other than aftermarket.) edit: corrected values... -
I have never heard of that before. One per order, yes. I have heard that some Lego shops even break the 1 per order rule. Every time I have made multiple orders I have received the promo once for each order. Sometimes they even break the "must be SW purchases" rule. Confirming the identical date for Australia, but who in their right mind would order a few days early and miss the Revan?!? Unless we also get an advanced promo too... Thanks! I hope it's a SPACESHIP
