Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
JaseTJ replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
The difference there is in the nature of the ship. The Hellicarrier has endless playability on the flight decks alone- Where just "seats" on it like you guys are saying might be boring, they could easily put some small play-set areas in it. -
I think Ra's is probably my best one, personally... Though I just realized something about him and Aqualad and such... I think some of the (mine, anyways) best purist customs are more about the feel of the character than 100% accuracy. Aqualad, for example... I'd probably give him Deadpool's torso if I had an extra (I need one in the first place :P), but otherwise worrying about giving him a red torso just isn't worth it... The grey fits the Atlantean feel to me, though. Is that just me or... Does that make sense?

Hopefully I'll be getting a couple of these shortly for Dagger, rather than the 1x1 round bricks. Oh, and I forgot to mention- Ra's is sortof based on a mix between Arkham City and TAS. And thanks for the kind words :)

I've not looked through the whole thread, so sorry if I don't have much new stuff, but I do have some customs that I'm pretty proud of. Presenting... basically my whole super-hero collection. I'm pretty sure every picture has at least one custom (purist) 'fig, and even a lot of the ones from sets are tweaked in one way or another. MARVEL DC

It's expensive, or at least it used to be. They have new methods since the Simpsons I guess, because they've been doing it more and more... -

They've put Parker in sets with Spidey before, and I'm sure it sold fine. -

November, you say? Because I'm planning on just buying the Milano and getting this, as opposed to trying to collect all of the sets. With Age of Ultron and the Justice League wave, I just can't afford to catch up on everything. And I can live without the big Groot- I'd have modded it enough anyways. -
...You do realize bigfigs are expensive and tend to drive set prices up by around $5, right?

Even though he does appear to be Klaw, I doubt we'll him in the sets... If they go to Wakanda, it probably won't be for all that much of the film. -
I like Scuba Robin, personally. Plus with a different visor and a jetpack of some sort he'd make a plenty decent Space-Robin too. He can go anywhere with Bats! :P

I don't see that working for Ultron. Woody and Groot both have long arms and legs proportionate to their torsos, but not Ultron. Maaaybe a new mid-length arm and leg mold? Or even 1x1 plates under the feet like the CMF old-timey diver. But really, I'd be perfectly okay with a normal 'fig Ultron with an armor piece and molded head or helmet. -

Molded head? Yes. But he's based on the iron man armors. He better have a normal fig body. -

Ultron is tall, but not that much taller than Thor and Cap and and Iron Man. And he's definitely not big enough in other ways to warrant a bigfig. And least I should hope not. I wouldn't be opposed to making him look a bit bigger than a normal fig, but through armor and such- not a whole new one-piece mold. As for Hulkbuster; I hope they give him a good 3/4 or so of the $40 set, or at least 1/2. If he's that big he deserves a solid build. -
Dangit. Apparently I have no Technic sets from 2005-present, and the set I was thinking of that I picked up at a Goodwill was a Creator set... *sniff* Honestly, if I thought I had a chance, I'd probably go pick up a set from Walmart :P But considering I have 0 sets and 0 experience building Technic stuff, really... Yeaaaah. Good luck to all, though.

That's funny considering I have three versions on my shelf downstairs... And no, I've never gotten any SDCC exclusives or anything. (By the way, we got Spidey Legos for the first two Raimi movies ;) ) Tbh, aside from non-Peter-Parker Spider-men (And I suppose ASM), the only variant I care about at all is Iron Spider. It's not like there are that many other variants to worry about, unlike bats who would actually have funds and reason to have all the suit variants. And if for some reason Lego's been hesitant to give us multiple Parker suits from USM, Iron Spider is that other kid now. *fingers crossed* Edit: we are expecting a USM wave in 2015, right? With a set of two for other stuff, probably, but... A summer wave to follow Age of Ultron? -
Nice work! :) As for deeplinking, I have no clue about that site, but Flickr is free and pretty easy. It's what most people on here use. If you can't figure that out, I think there's a tutorial on deeplinking from Flickr somewhere on here.

If you guys want Agents of SHIELD, honestly, your best bet is through Ideas. Live-action TV shows just aren't Lego's thing... If they were we'd probably have gotten at least one set based a bit more off Arrow by now. -

I really don't think they'll put any AGENTS of Shield characters in a set for a long time... If they did, I suppose it'd be in a Hellicarrier set, but... I mean, they've never been on a Hellicarrier to our knowledge. -

Just wanted to do a quick rundown, based on a scale of 1-to-10, 10 being the most likely. If it's MCU-based only: Fury- 10 Coulson- 10 Hill- 9 If we only get 5 figures, I'd say a 50/50 chance that we'd get a couple of generic agents or a couple of named characters. If we do get named characters, however, or if we get more than 5, the list goes on... Falcon- 7 Stealh Cap- 5 Winter Soldier- 6 Banner- 7 Hulk- 3 Loki- 6 Thor- 6 Hawkeye- 6 Rodgers- 4 Natasha- 4 -

This is Marvel we're talking about. We better get a good amount of 'figs in the first UCS set. I'd hope for a MCU Falcon, but I'd be okay if he was the only super hero we got. Winter Soldier would be nice too, but aside from those two and alternate identities I'd rather get more SHIELD agents than heroes (generic, not from the show). We'll probably see Fury Coulson and Hill, which I have mixed emotions about. They're impossibly easy to make purist custom versions of, but official versions are always nice... -

I guess your 22 'figs isn't all that unrealistic when you consider the Death Star had 24. Although that includes a couple of brick-built droids, and the price was $100 more than this is rumored. I wouldn't think they'd put all of the Avengers in it anyways, but I don't think anyone would argue with putting Winter Soldier/SHIELD 'figs in the set. (Though I guess then it'd make more sense to be the Cap II Hellicarrier, which I'd rather not.) Again, I'm actually leaning towards having some elements of Ultimate Spider-Man on top of the Avengers movie. The "space ship" set is almost positively going to be the new quinjet. Same pricetag as the old one, too. As for the Hellicarrier, it's not on that list. Completely separate rumor. -

Star Wars and Marvel are both Disney now, and I'm pretty sure they're confident by now that Marvel will sell just as well as Star Wars. Just saying. As for the interior that some people are wondering about, I'd wager the front runway would come up and have a few chairs/computers for the bridge, and the back would come up to have a small lab and/or storage area. (This is assuming it would be the Avengers movie Hellicarrier, as the Cap 2 ones were only in it for a bit and were Hydra). They'd have to include at least one little jet (I wouldn't complain if it was the same one in Hulk's Hellicarrier Breakout), but so long as it would be able to fit a Quinjet I will be pleased. (Obviously it won't be scale to it, but... I just want it to be able to sit on it ) EDIT: Also, I wouldn't be horribly surprised if they had elements from Ultimate Spider-Man. Having it split into two or three mini-carriers would not disappoint me. -

If that's true, I think it would sell. I would definitely have to save up for a decent Hellicarrier set. The only way I wouldn't would be if the 'figs were remakes and the set was absolute crap. Even then, it'd be hard to pass up considering it'd probably be the best parts pack we'll ever get for a Hellicarrier. -

The Bugle was only $50, no? And this Avengers Tower is 70? So I'd say we could get one substantially bigger. Ultron doesn't exactly need a vehicle...
