Here we go... Mitgard Northern Battlemage- No cold can stop this deceptively weak-looking old man. And if his unusual strength and good health aren't worrisome enough, beware his powerful magic. You can only hope he's not accompanied by a friend or two. Wanderer- If there's anyone in Mitgardia you want to run into less than a Battlemage, it's this young woman and her nomadic tribe. Nobody knows their way around the snowy forests better, and few can match their speed with a sword in such cold weather. Hermetic Nobleman- The legends tell of a man in red who lives alone in the Mitgardian wilderness--or at least they do among the children. Supposedly, he's very generous and has a way with the Rein-elk. Recruitment Officer- Just like any army, Mitgardian forces need fresh blood. Thankfully the brave Recruitment Officer is here! Step in line, young ladies and gentlemen! Nocturnus Satyr Rogue- Most people think of Satyrs and Fauns as cute, sweet, and at worst annoying creatures, but this roguish fellow is a force to be reckoned with. While he still eats like a goat--literally--you best be careful which end of his bow you end up on. Underlord of Fire- Risen from the Underworld to wreak havoc, this Lord of Fire is one bad dude. And if his flaming staff wasn't enough, don't be caught off guard when he draws his sword. Goblin Commander- Most goblins aren't generally viewed as intelligent, but this one might just be the exception. His tactics are somewhat outdated, but still mostly effective. And he has a big axe, so obviously he's in charge! Sister of the Night- Beware the Sisters of the Night! If you see roots sneaking towards you, or are currently wrapped up in writhing vines, one of them might be hiding nearby. Kaliphlin Sultan's Adviser- Wise rulers need wise council, and for some Kaliphian lords, this is the kind of guy to turn to. Others might notice the serpant-staff and mischievous color scheme and be wary of a power-hungry, genie-seeking fellow. Djinn Ambassador- Representing the secluded little kingdom of blue people, this guy's obviously excited to get out and see the world. Just don't question his cultural love of wearing nearly all blue, and don't try to take his gold! Kaliphlin Guard Captain- Once a ruthless tactician and general, he's retired to a life of ease... Ordering the city guard around instead! Nomad- The desert can be a dangerous place, and this young lady knows it. She'll never let her guard down, even if you think she's focused on building a fire to fend off the cold of night. Avalonia Hunter- Skilled with knots as well as archery, the hunters of Avalonia are able to trap smaller game while they stalk their larger prey, always bringing home meat to put on the table. Paladin of Ares- Though bull-headed at times, the Paladins of Ares are a noble order, travelling Avalonia to fight for justice. Of course, their definition of justice might not be the same as yours... Gypsy- Nomadic life fits some Avalonians better than others, and the gypsies are among the more common to fit that description. Invitations to their parties are coveted among villagers who wish to witness the gaiety of the gypsy dance. Highwayman- Other Avalonians are less fortunate and kind. This Highwayman appears to have just mugged some poor soul, and gotten away with it--for now.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Doesn't much matter- if people want to MOC a Hellicarrier their best value for parts is gunna be the set anyways. Unless maybe they have access to bulk parts from a LUG or something, and even then it would be hard to get such a variety of grey slopes/wedges. If I can, my tentative plan is to get 2 and basically make the deck twice as wide (2 of those big plates wide rather than 1) to fit a better sized control room in there. -

The 8x16s printed with runways seem promising, at least. Good for MOC/MODing your own. Yeah, after watching the video, I have a distinct feeling I'm really gunna want to MOD it heavily. Still want it, though. -

Coulson with a Cap action figure! :3 I'm really very unsure about this set as of yet... I want to see the 'figs on the deck before I make a final decision... Ah, who am I kidding, I've gotta buy it It's definitely a lot smaller than I pictured, but all the more dense/detailed for it. If I can ever afford to, I might buy 2 of it to make one a little more 'fig scaled. -

The chima piece being used for Sandman got me to thinking... When one theme requisitions a new mold (excluding licensed molds, obviously) do they send their prelims around to the designers for all the themes? Because, in this instance anyways, it almost seems too perfect how that looks like it'll work for sand when it was designed initially for ice. And if they had made it ever so slightly differently, it could have worked just as well for ice and not at all for sand. Which in turn causes me to question how long they've been planning this set :3 I for one am super psyched for both Spidey sets if only for the 'figs. The crane looks a bit lackluster, but it's prelim so who knows. Worst comes to worst I'll have to get a few city sets to make a proper construction site XD -

Fair, but I'm okay with getting two designs... How different could they be? In fact I'd almost rather get a variant. It would enable making agents of various ranks. :3 And yes, Ultron ^_^ -

Only two? Depending on the jet, I'm definitely considering getting several of this set for the Shield Agents. Then again, if we're getting a generic one in this set... I think that bodes well for the Hellicarrier :D Maybe the Jet will tie in to the Hellicarrier, as well? Idk, I'm super psyched to be getting Iron Spider and Miles Morales, though ^_^ -
Oh, heh, I just saw the set names/numbers on Brickset. Awesome :D Any rumors on prices? Mystery Machine will probably (hopefully) be $20-30, depending on how many characters it includes. I'd wager the mansion and museum will be the largest, with the plane and lighthouse sets being mid- to smaller-sized. As for Scooby himself, I honestly think the Cobi figure is fairly accurately sized. A bit big, sure, but not overly.

Out of curiosity, what evidence is there that people are treating this so positively? I obviously didn't read the whole thread, but people seem very sure and from the first few pages I didn't see anything. Hard to look through on mobile, sorry. My girlfriend is psyched at the idea, though :) Which makes me happy :) I like the idea of having a theme to collect with her :)

While I agree Lego should have offered to replace the figures, I did get a slightly different response myself. (Though I didn't have the sets, so mine wasn't a complaint so much as a tip-off that the things damage 'figs.) So if you do have damaged figures, it would seem you might have to email Lego directly concerning that and actually ask for replacements. I would guess they'll be willing to do so, especially if the figures are your children's and you mention that.

10/10 would display on UCS Hellicarrier just for kicks.

Not necessarily. The $250 Ewok Village had, what, 12 figs? Han/Luke/Leia/Chewie, C3PO/R2, 5 Ewoks, 2 rebels and 2 scout troopers... Excuse me, 15 figures. Obviously we're looking at a vehicle as opposed to a pure playset, but we can't really get a firm yes/no based on what you said. Really it all comes down to the "playset or not" question, and even beyond that- which rooms. Odds are the following areas would add at least one of the corresponding figures: No interior: Fury, Coulson, Hill Bridge: SHIELD officer(s), Black Widow, maybe Hawkeye (He is a SHIELD agent, after all, and if nothing else he can be attacking) Prison: Loki, maybe Thor Lab: Banner, maybe Stark Hanger/Storage/Any other random areas: low-level SHIELD agents (Like, wearing jumpsuits as opposed to a SHIELD uniform) I've gotta say, though, I really really hope for the rotors... I want so badly to put an Iron Man in there and spin it around -

Define full-size, though? There's obviously no way it's to scale in the first place. Plus any playsets don't have to be all that detailed to be awesome. -

No, that's actually really good logic. Wish I'd thought to check what he'd designed in the past. Gaaah now I really really really wanna see iiiiiiit. -
I emailed Lego's customer service as well. I see absolutely no reason why we shouldn't all do so if we're so inclined. hopefully they'll realize and own up to the issue as soon as they hear about it, but the more negative feedback there is the more likely they are to fix it better and faster. I'm glad there's a way around harming the 'figs, though, 'cause they really look kindof fun

Oh, I know they'd be comic versions. Absolutely okay by me. And I know it's probably just wishful thinking... But it's still a thought... Licensed. That was way before they could afford to make their own multi-million dollar franchise out of the MCU. They want the licenses back as much as us fans, if not more (considering how much they could make off those licenses.) -

So... Just how crazy would it be to get a Fantastic Four comic set...? Sure, Disney/Marvel don't really want to market for Fox or whoever has FF... But they've made two X-Men sets, one of which clearly coinciding with a Fox movie. And we're supposed to get 2 more sets this summer that we don't know anything about, right? Plus Johnny is black in the new movie. If they made a set based on the comics he wouldn't be. There's only so far that would go towards assisting the movie with marketing, amiright? So, I mean... There's hope... right? There's gotta be... Sorry, I just watched the older movie again tonight While it may not have been perfect, it made me realize how badly I want Lego to make them -

Just thought I'd shout it out: Apparently the super-jumper pieces in the Justice League sets can crack 'figs legs. I don't recall those being in AoU sets, but I wouldn't be surprised if Marvel had them at some point. -
I don't see why Slade wouldn't have an alternate expression. Just about any named character does, unless their headgear doesn't cover the back. I'd guess like Batman's, a normal/scowly/serious one and a grinning one.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
JaseTJ replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
For those concerned about fitting a playset inside the Hellicarrier... Consider the fact that it's essentially two big boxes on top of one another (there are two runways, the one sits diagonally across the other). There's plenty of space under the main one for a bridge and under the other for the prison and lab. I would almost be shocked if Lego doesn't use that- it would be more than simple to have the runways come off, sitting on tiles. In fact I'll be rather disgruntled if it doesn't happen... But hey, worst scenario we all get to be a little creative with our interiors :P -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
JaseTJ replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
>Star Destroyers are big ships that you only ever see the bridge of. Who would you include aside from officers and Vader and maybe Palpatine anyways? Plus as I previously pointed out, the shape makes it harder to include play areas. >The Millennium Falcon basically only has five characters that are ever on it. >The Slave I also only ever features Boba, his Han-in-carbonite prize, an imperial dude to cart Han, and another bounty hunter or two just 'cause. Because who else would they include? The Hellicarrier, on the other hand, can and should feature at least Fury, Coulson, Hill, and a nameless agent or two (similar to the imperial officers) to all go in the bridge area (like on the Star Destroyer sets). It should also include at least two minifigures per other play area, whether it be the prison or the lab or what. (There could be some overlap, such as Loki and Coulson being in the prison area). So basically I'd expect 'figs based on whether there's a lot of playability inside or not. There will almost undoubtedly be at least the three, though. Really? Good. I wouldn't necessarily dislike a Winter Soldier version, but... Avengers version would be better as SHIELD actually used it :P -
I would. There's no other reason they'd include the word "Harbor" in the name, is there?
-
I'm surprised nobody's picked up four (or more) of these yet to make a MOC of that scene where they all connect... Then again, you couldn't really make much of a force field to go along with them, could you... *shrug* Great review. I never managed to get any of the GotG sets, but I want the Milano and this one...

Because we've gotten all the other Marvel characters with similarly long comic-run-time in those three years of Marvel sets... Sheesh, be grateful
