Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
JaseTJ replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
So help me I will stalk your youtube page. All. Night. :P -
Yes. It's only in the Laketown set, though, not the final battle, fyi. And the goblin hat was brought up quite a while ago in the Marvel 2015 rumors thread. We sure hope it'll be used for him!

I wouldn't count on it. The Birds set was released with maybe a couple of color changes... other than that it was basically the project, no? BBT will take a lot more time, mainly to figure out what to include or not.

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Just a thought, as for the energy-helmet thingy? I wouldn't be at all surprised if it ended up being for an Ultra Agents villain. -
Are we suddenly confirmed to be getting Scooby Doo or something? Sheesh :P Another option for the hair would be Pyro, no...? He'd be one of the more likely mutant villains, and they really need to introduce a non-Magneto (or sentinel) bad guy in the next X-Men set.

Um... Green Arrow? Remember? Wait, he has Mutt William's hair?? o_O Weird.. I could have sworn...

Battle For The Golden Mask Competition: Discussion Thread
JaseTJ replied to VBBN's topic in LEGO Action Figures
What?? 12 PM means noon, not midnight. I used a time converter and according to that I should have had another half hour yet... Just finally had an opportunity to take pictures, and was about to post them, but the topic is locked... EDIT: Apparently it was 5 AM for me, not 6 PM... Don't know what in the world was wrong with the converter I used... Ugh... I built him weeks ago, I just don't have my own camera :/ In the future could contests maybe start including a time chart of some sort, or at least a link to a good timezone converter? Because it's a really sucky feeling missing out on a contest like this because some dumb site didn't work properly. (I had been on my phone when I checked the time, or I would have just googled it, which is what I just now did to get the correct time...) -
I actually didn't realize it wasn't black. In that case, maybe the new Orc piece...? It'd probably look weird, but...

Bruce: Episode 3/Clone Wars Anakin's hair in black, Superman face, Killian's torso (the guy in the IM3 boat set), and dark tan legs White Tiger: Aura Sing's hair, some face from a Snowtrooper or something (it's a white head with black eye holes and maybe some other details), and a relatively basic white torso and legs. I've never actually made her, so I'm not sure what torso would work best, or where the head is from.

Vision has a bad side? Hey, now... On here I may be mild mannered JaseTJ, but on a certain other smaller forum, I'm your friendly neighborhood SpiderMan (And my username for several games is SpiderMana, I own at least 8 Spidey t-shirts... you get the point.) But for real, I've enjoyed the show quite thoroughly and we better get at least one more set. If they don't give us a White Tiger to finish off the team... -
Guys... Raptors don't run from T-Rex's. They hunt them. And Chris Pratt is going to take so much advantage of that fact :3 But anyways, the point is, I'd guess maybe two of the four raptors (since they appear to all be unique) will be in a smaller set with Owen (Chris Pratt's character), and the other two will be in the big set hunting the D-Rex (The genetically modified dino from the trailer and the big bad white guy in those pics of the dino pieces, or so I'm assuming.)

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion

Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are more likely to appear as villains than von Strucker. I'd guess Quicksilver with the Hydra set (and maybe Strucker, too,) and SW with the Hulkbuster set, since it would seem she set him off in the first place. Also, I just finally realized something... Could the "Avengers Tower" set simply be the scene from the latest trailer? It would have Ultron, a few plain-clothes Avengers... I'd be game for that. Not only would it mean we'd get an earlier version of Ultron, but not all of the heroes would have to be wearing the same outfits. Of course, they could easily return to the tower in a later scene, but... Hey, it's a thought. -
It's from a female Jedi 'fig, fyi.

EB Xmas Raffle 2014 - Your Ideal Christmas Gift entry thread
JaseTJ replied to CopMike's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Spending time with my girlfriend (and siblings) this Christmas! :) (No, she's not a "little person" or anything, the short legs/ice skates combo give her a more accurate height compared to me, though :P ) Thanks once again, CopMike! Look forward to this "contest" every year! -

I just can't see them not doing it like the Death Star... But I'll still probably get it if it has even only 4 'figs, considering the amount of playability on the flight deck alone. Plus, hey, it's Lego. You can always modify. -
I have my 16 built, and I'm very pleased with them, but... if I have 'til the end of January to continually perfect them... I'm not sure how soon I want to post them I would wait, in case I make a Bricklink Order by then, but at the same time I don't see myself having the extra money for that... But... Ugh...

Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
JaseTJ replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
The thing is, it's not. There's a reason the Tumbler and some of the Star Wars exclusives have only come with a few 'figs as opposed to the Death Star, Ewok Village, and Sandcrawler's larger amount, and that's because they weren't playsets. The Tumbler scale is a model- not 'fig sized at all. the SSD sets are all relatively bare on the inside- not much going on, because they weren't really featured in the movies at all. Those three exceptions, though, are playsets. The Death Star was a big part of two movies, and has all of the various scenes represented because of it. The Ewok Village and Sandcrawler are both fairly iconic, and have lots of playfeatures easily integratable. If I'm going to pay $350 for the flying aircraft carrier that's featured heavily in two Marvel movies, inside and out, it better dang well have an interior and 'figs to go with it. I think they'll be able to find some play features for it But really; Command Deck with a couple rows of computers for SHIELD agents? Play area. Lab area with a window for Hulk to smash through? Play feature. Hulk-cage that drops Thor out? Play feature area. Little airplanes and potentially turrets on the deck? Plaaaaayable. And I'd be perfectly okay with even just those four areas, where there should also be room for a cargo bay of some sort (Hulk vs. Thor), a little greebly/pipe-y area with maybe a catwalk (Black Widow vs. Hulk or Hawkeye), and maybe even say a little room with Cap's suit and a storage area for Hydra-based weapons. Not to mention the whole under-side dome from Winter Soldier. WHAT IF IT COMES WITH THE OPTION TO MAKE IT WINTER SOLDIER-HELICARRIER? Like, you can add the dome and walkway from Winter Soldier, and the turrets would be super easy to make detachable... -
Might I ask for someone to compile a list of Species on the Wiki or something? Just a place for newbies like me to easily see what kind of creatures can be found where, even how various creatures are portrayed in Historica, etc. I just feel like I'm hopping in with so much already so established, and I don't want to unintentionally do something wrong, persay. I get that a lot of things are flexible, but e.g. I don't want to make something around a race that has been determined to look a certain way, or maybe not even exist at all. Even if it's not an issue, I feel like it might be wise to address it somehow in the original post of this topic: whether it's an actual answer or a general statement that "You can portray whatever species you want however you want"

Like I said before, what we need is a piece that works for people with short hair that's even slightly spiked. Like Mutt's hair, but that goes up a tiny bit instead of combed down. -

Bigger picture with that hairpiece from the modular set- nothing else is prelim or rendered or anything, so there's no reason it would look different from the actual piece... It looks almost identical, but not quite as detailed... If it is any different, it really needs to be shorter though. The piece we really need is one that looks short, but has a bit of a spike in the front at the least. As it is, the spikey hair piece can be a bit too long to accurately represent characters such as Hawkeye. So yeah.. you can be the judge. ( -if you want to see the bigger size. It resized slightly when I originally posted, despite being in a spoiler.) -

Yeah, I don't seem to have any. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for them on BL, and until then make sure to implement it elsehow. -
Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
JaseTJ replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just speculation on that Hawkeye hair that was being referred to: I wouldn't be too surprised if they made a new hairpiece specifically for him, considering the Avengers 'fig was based on concept art and didn't end up accurate at all to the movie. And then they recolored and put it in a modular set. *shrug* -
Well I just left home and won't be back for a week, but I should have some time then. :)
