  1. I didn't mention them before, as they wouldn't likely be in the movie if it happens, but X-Men and Fantastic Four are part of Secret Wars too, if I'm not mistaken...
  2. It is a comic arc, but Marvel's doing it again this year. They also said it was the biggest announcement of the year for them (implying it could end up affecting the MCU), and that they were going to tie in marketing through toy lines. The writers of the article are wondering if around 2018 we could be getting a Secret Wars Avengers/GotG/Spidey film, but my comment was aimed at whether we'd get Legos in 2015 from the comic series, seeing as they're pushing it through other toy lines.
  3. Sooooo guys. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=56160 "Three of the merchandising partners named for the new "Secret Wars" was current Marvel toy license-holder Hasbro, Gentle Giant and retail chain Hot Topic. Anybody think maybe Lego'll be in on it? We're expecting a second Marvel wave in 2015, no? Or it's plausible, anyways?
  4. I'm all for another Quinjet. The first one was pretty good, and not too hard to mod, but I've been planning to remake it anyways. Specifically, with the rotors in the wing. If they put a new one in an Avengers set, it's just more parts and ideas for me :)
  5. Just to clarify, Andrew Garfield has another movie in his contract still. That means that if they do recast Spidey in the Sinister Six, either the movie won't be directly connected to the ASM series or it will be a different Spidey. (I'd be okay with Miles Morales being in a movie). Either way, if their deal with MB is through we could definitely see sets. Especially considering the Electro poly.
  6. Need that Rocket :3 It's so beautiful in dark red (is it the same as that SDCC or NYTF one?) and that Groot is simply awesome, despite being a simple build.
  7. ... What? Maybe it's just me, but I can find zero reference to whom you're talking about or why it's relevant..?
  8. Yeah, it is pretty sad for those... But maybe eventually...?
  9. I don't think so... A comment on Bricklink said something about Sony's deal with MB coming to an end recently, so... sets are fully plausible now, if not expect-able. :)
  10. ... So I'm the only one looking forward to making them fly? ...
  11. Guys, stop double-posting! (Sorry... Couldn't help it... )
  12. Somebody mentioned that Green Arrow's hood thingy is the "wrong color" ...? Just wondering which color that indeed is, because it looks Dark Green to me, and I think that makes much more sense seeing as we actually have access to Dark Green hoods. Other than Green Arrow (and Martian Manhunter- but we don't have those pictures yet, so-) I'm mostly psyched to see what Hawkman's and Space-Bat's wings are physically like. They seem to be a thick plasticy paper stuff (I'm envisioning the same material as the windsurfer sail I have from one of those Extreme sets). As for the builds, I'm suuuuuper pumped up for the sets now that those have been updated as well. The Javelin looks really slick with the shield, as somebody mentioned, and all that red at the back there is translucent which I think looks delightful. The invisible Jet looks great color-wise; too bad they couldn't pull that off for Green Lantern (probably too expensive), Bat's Mech looks way better with that chest-piece and the net-shooting hand, and both subs look pretty superb to me...
  13. Yellow yellow? Or a tan or like Thor's hair?
  14. In the Cap 2 after-credits scene Strucker's looking at Loki's staff before he goes over towards Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver- I didn't catch it too clearly when I watched it last night, but he said something about "volunteers," "survivors" and then he said it's an "Age of Miracles." Apparently Hydra was experimenting on people (with the staff, I'd guess) , and the twins were the only ones to survive. So yeah, it's stupid they can't reference mutancies, but miracles works well enough. EDIT: Looking at the "Inhumans" post from Ultron there again... I hope they use terms like that and at least for one scene go on about how they're basically mutants, but using every word they can to not actually say "mutant."
  15. I should have been more clear. I meant main characters would be fine, so long as they were variants...
  16. Main characters could be fine, since kids don't know obscure heroes well enough to buy them, but if anything why not some variants? I dunno, I can see why Lego probably won't, but I'll remain optimistic :P
  17. Guis. Pls. Prelims are intended purely to indicate what figures are to be included. They gave him the light blue outfit because his outfit is light blue, and the hood because it's distinguishable to the character. It is absolutely no indication of getting one version over the other, and we won't know which one it is until actual pictures or some other leak is confirmed. I don't see why this is still being debated... If you want to guess at which we'll get, feel free, but please stop trying to use the prelims as evidence. (Not trying to mod or anything, it's just getting old... My intent here is simply to clarify to those still arguing so that they no longer need to.)
  18. If they include that in Ant-Man it'll only be an end-credits scene or I guess maybe during the climax of the movie he could pull it out like "surprise!" :D
  19. Um... And the fact that he has practically super-strength and speed when he's small. Have you seen the test footage? (I'd find it and link, but the internet here is filtered so I doubt I could.)
  20. I was gunna say, I really don't like the helmet on the microfigs. That and they aren't as close anatomically as the trophies. And while we're at it, if the helmet is anything like the test footage that's been circulating for the past however long then it wouldn't be accurate anyways.
  21. Or maybe they didn't print that Jack Sparrow...? Bricklink doesn't have it there, and I can't find what set it would've been in... I can only find one image of it, with the Firestar toys logo. :/ But yeah, I was referring to another variant of that, in which they would have wings instead of the cape/hood. And maybe a helmet for the Ant-Man one >_>
  22. Yeah, I only meant that it wouldn't make sense for Janet to be Wasp opposite Lang's Ant-Man. As for their microfigs... the new Star Destroyer set has a trans-blue version of the mini-fig-trophy piece, and it has a cape... It would probably be expensive but in my opinion it'd be best if we could get a mini-trophy Ant-Man and Wasp, and her version could have wings... Only one new mold, and they've printed on one of those before (Jack Sparrow voodoo doll)
  23. To be fair they're not using Hank Pym as Ant-Man. Pym will be in the movie, but Scott Lang, his predecessor, will be the only one donning the suit it sounds like. Glad to hear Wasp confirmed, though. Can't wait to see how exactly they handle the miniature versions! :D (I suppose they'll likely have a set where the minifigs are "small" and the rest of the set is built to look massive around them, which would be cool, but we better get scale mini-versions somehow too.)
  24. For those who were wanting Thanos badly, just take solace in the fact that we will get him within a couple of years. Maybe even from GotG 2 instead of Avengers 3? (Though to be honest I'd rather they skipped a full wave of GotG if it means sets from Ant-Man/Dr. Strange/whatever other stand-alone films we're getting in here. When is GotG 2 going to be anyways? Also, since Ant-Man seems to have confirmed sets in 2015, anyone have any news that might suggest if we'll get Wasp as well? I think I read at some point it'll be Ant-Man and Wasp vs. Yellowjacket or something...
  25. Really glad to confirm we're getting Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter in sets, having missed out on the former exclusive because I've never been to ComicCon (And even then they're hard/expensive to get, no?) and I didn't happen to have $70 to order MM back in March... And as others have said, they'll likely release SHAZAM! in a year or two lining up with his movie. Plus we're finally getting Green Lantern in a set, too! (Come to think of it, brilliant on Lego's part to make that the small set. Cheap enough that people can get multiples for the GL outfit and MOC the various versions.) Regardless... Reconciliation* has begun! *For making all the ones I wanted the most exclusive for so long...
