  1. i have the parts you mentioned in both Rust and Red colour....they ARE different colours!....i have compared the Red parts i have to other Red parts and they are the same shade. the rust coloured parts are different....they are more akin to Dark Red. you should do a pictorial review!
  2. This set has been on my want list for some time, thanks to Brick Builder for bringing us a fresh look at this set. http://www.bricklink...nv.asp?S=8437-1
  3. so....paint them pink..........?
  4. why are all these vehicles orange?
  5. could it be 8288?...the most overpriced set ever perhaps?....i dont really get this set, it only has 800 parts and none of the parts are particularry rare? maybe 8275?.....personally i think those Lego Racers sets are the most rare/valuable.
  6. is there a brand new i should look for?...maybe an Ebay link?
  7. really loved the look of those sets...is the theme set to continue or is TLG resting the theme for a year? are there any Arctic MOCs out there?
  8. the model looked good and finished....it is weird it got cancelled, perhaps there was some build issue...maybe too hard for kids, a new part that was not fit for purpose or maybe copyright issues?...perhaps the model looks like an actual vehicle.
  9. Effer....how about his part with 1L pins instead of axles?
  10. what i find interesting is that the old Black 6558 pins are stronger and harder to pull out then the newer Blue ones.......? they attain less clutch power over time...they are fine brand new condition, but after a few months the plastic softens and they pins loose their clutch power. would be nice if they made these pins in different colours. i have these in Black and Red:
  11. I have gone through the parts list for 8288 and have everything save for the 500 mm string...it is impossible to find. are there any alternatives?....string made by other companies one could use? i could tie together five 100 mm strings i guess....but that would look a bit naff....any thoughts?
  12. wow!...fast, i did not mean 2L axels on each end, just 1L axles on either side of the middle pin hole :-)
  13. you can watch video reviews via JANGBRICKS here: a different review of 42047: http://hwww.youtube.com/watch?v=B3O0gDYgpFQ
  14. 8043 really does look amazing in white dosen't in?.......
  15. EFFERMAN....can you design this part with two axles on each end instead of pins?
  16. i also think its been pushed back to the Summer 2H release schedule. i wonder if its possible to reverse engineer it based on the picture? i think the wheels used are 56x26
  17. the instructions for the Extreme Police Interceptor combo model is now online....will someone do a review of this B model? https://wwwsecure.us.lego.com/en-us/service/buildinginstructions/search?initialsearch=42046&ignorereferer=true&showmarketselector=true#
  18. i am not sure....but if there was a partlist for the B model then that would help you the most, though i am not sure if anyone has made a list of what parts are used in the B of 8285. otherwise you would have to look at the partlist on Bricklink and download the B model instructions....and just visually make a list of what parts are used in the instructions. its time consuming but can be done. i plan to build the B myself at some point so over time i just bought a few parts here and there that i know are used in the set...so when i go to build i have everything in my parts collection.
  19. here is a video review via JANG to add to the review: i like both A and B so will buy both.
  20. have some white parts that i want to brighten up, they are not yellowed or anything....just want to see if bleach would make them whiter....but is it safe?
  21. did you take pics? i think you should have noted the rare x346 part in your review....trans dark blue has not been seen in many years
  22. i just buy 8141 off ebay...two of them in that Racers set....they are always dirt cheap, cheaper then buy two individual parts.
