  1. a pretty scathing review from Sariel...i expect there will be mods though to fix the gearing/transmission system. one note i want to make...the complaints about using 3L pins in Blue instead of Black, while valid, are a no brainer for you guys. i am sure most of you have ample stock of those pins in Black. and i am sure you have the other pins types in black if one were inclined to mod the body. if you want to take the logic further....Lego SHOULD have produced 3L pins in Orange!!!! also....those White elastic bands should have been Black....but you can find that colour easy enough on Bricklink cheaply.
  2. da hell? ..... http://shop.lego.com...Listing=listing nice one Lego!...keep the hype train going and give the scalpers and profiteers a nice tidy profit. how about making sure there is enough stock to satisfy demand and so put an END to this profiteering madness we see with certain sets.
  3. i want to try add some suspension to these Racers sets as the original models had none, would there be a simple mod that could do this?...could one follow say the suspension in 8070 as a guide ?
  4. chassis and gears http://zusammengebau...mengebaut-8516/ more links http://www.pictaram.com/media/1262233479918921316_1068352824
  5. was this posted?....anyone spot anything juicy in the parts list?
  6. i am very happy these old parts are coming back, they have seem to be bringing back alot of older molds or parts in old colours not seen in many years. i am trying to rebuild 8462 from as many new parts as possible, so these moves by TLG are most welcome :-)
  7. i am assuming the flex soft axle hoses are 14L....not seen since 2006: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=32201&colorID=34&in=A if they are 11L then 2005 and 8649...which i have and is an amazing set!
  8. part # 6536 had not been seen in Lime Green since 2010; http://www.bricklink...colorID=34&in=A
  9. YES!...more great news for parts gathers like me who are trying to build old sets using new parts. if you look at 42053 you will notice part # 2743 in Black. http://constructors..../42053_prod.jpg that part has not been seen since 2000 and is used in 8462: http://www.bricklink...colorID=11&in=A

  11. it would have to go down to €250 before i would consider buying it......
  12. you might be correct that it was a designer choice...they also had 10L an 12L in Red for that set. i got my info wrong....76046 has a 10L axle in Red: http://www.bricklink...&colorID=5&in=A the 8L in Red is in these sets: http://www.bricklink...&colorID=5&in=A there is also a 9L axle in Yellow: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=60485&colorID=3&in=A
  13. i would love to see a car made of Flat Silver....but there isint enough parts available in that colour, certainly not Technic parts. i have about 20 Red #3's now.....not sure what to do with them though.
  14. i also spotted the new 8L Red axels in this vid....so i went and bought 2 of them as i have a plan to use them on the Racers 8145, they were not available in Re at the time so the desginers had to use Black 8L axels on the windshield area.....so i can niw make the area colour correct
  15. a fire rescue vehicle...or a fire truck. we need more emergency service vehicles....
  16. i would imagine it will sell out very quickly....and most will be profiteers wanting to cash in on hugely expensive parts or reselling entire sets for double the price.
  17. is that entire car brick built?....how many parts did they use?
  18. guys...am i correct here?....do i see part # 2744 in Blue in the Nexo Knights set? http://images.brickset.com/sets/AdditionalImages/70322-1/70322_alt4.jpg that part has not been seen since 2000, i bought 8462 so this is great news as this set uses 2 of this part, great oppertunity to get a new part for my rebuild.
  19. the decool one is not like that...vids prove same.
  20. i bet the new lego china factory has robots doing everything
  21. that is actually a very good point....can anyone be 100% sure ebay or bricklink sellers are not importing parts from china.......hmmmm.......
  22. all the beams are still produced today, and you still find the odd studded beam in sets sold today, but you never see something like 8880 these days. i think people say 8275 was the final set of the studded days, or that it was the mid/tipping point of using alot of studded beams and studless. i am not a fan of studded per se, i just was wondering if there some some reason they gave up using them?
  23. i find 8880 to be too boxy, too bricky.....
  24. so i bought this lot of red technic connectors off ebay...there was no description on the lot other then <technic connectors>, but i spotted a red #3 in the pic. you could not see the number written on the connector (3) but i knew from the angle it was a #3. he was asking for €3 so i said what the hell....i got it today and the package had 6 red #3 in the bag!!!!!!! :-)
