  1. I am quoting this from Revisiting old topics (Bumping), so you're aware Jreacher. You may want to read the entire post in the previous link. Well, since the topic is bumped... This is an eons old topic that was a brickshelf find built by RTN LNA. He joined EB Nov. 2006 after this MOC was posted, and he has not been active since 2011. He posted most of his MOCs after he joined in this topic. I met him at Brickworld Chicago in 2009. Due to my tendency to be introverted, I likely seemed socially awkward at best when I was able to talk to him for a limited amount of time. Please don't bump these topics too. He was also the first person to attempt to create a Sorted Ship Index, which took a lot of work. This ship index has recently had a major overhaul, but the basic organization method was retained utilizing the framework that RTN LNA had laid out in his original index.
  2. As Horsecreek mentioned, you need to provide some more details in your first post and not be so vague. If you're only going to provide us with two lines of text with what you're looking for, then don't expect too much of a response. I think you need to look around this forum first. There is a lot of information already in this forum. I would check out the INDEX: Wikipedia Links Topic in the Buildings and Building Techniques segment and check out Horry's Tutorial on Fortifications of the Sailing Age. Feel free to post replies to either of these topics if you have any questions. Then, I would check out the out-of-date INDEX: Land based MOCs Topic to see what others have built in this forum. You should only post replies to recent topics for MOCs. While you're at it, you could just browse the Pirate MOCs Forum and click on any fort or harbor related tags to get a list of topics with the same tag.
  3. I added pictures to your post. You will usually get more responses when the photos are posted right in your topic. Captain Dee is right. Schooners were very popular for long time. The U.S. and pirates used them a lot. The gun ports look fantastic. I would think this vessel is an early 17th century vessel when they favored large captain's cabins and ornate gun ports.
  4. The Index of Ship MOCs Sorted! is going to be the only Ship Index that will be maintained, and has been renamed "Index: Ship MOCs". We don't have enough monkeys trained to maintain two ship indices and both indices were very cumbersome and very large. The "new" Sorted Index has been rearranged into a more organized manner and related vessel types with few MOCs were lumped together. For the variety of builders we have had over the years in this forum and types of vessels there have been, I think the way the current index is organized is best for people to find the type of vessel they're looking for. These other ship Indices are no longer maintained, but still can be viewed. Old Index: Ship MOCs - This index has served us well for just over eight years. The best LEGO sailing ships (minifig illusion scale) - The best ships from the Ship MOCs Index! Please, let us know in this topic if Your MOC was overlooked to be added to the ship index. Posted images in an old topic that are no longer able to be viewed. A thumblink in the index doesn't have the correct thumbnail image associated with its topic. And any other related items. We will relay this information to our monkeys who now maintain this index. We are not perfect in our training of monkeys, and they do make mistakes, sometimes deliberately.
  5. You need much more than a simple complement to bump old topics. Please read the link within the site guidelines quote.
  6. I'm sorry. I'm not able to help. You may want to post this question in the Ranks Topics to see if someone can help you. Phredit Or posting in the Help!!! topics is fine too.
  7. When your topsail schooner is complete, it and any of your other complete vessels like it each deserve their own thread.
  8. If you made this reply, it's not locked. Please don't make pointless posts like this and you need to use correct grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  9. Your sails and rigging are really well done.
  10. This is a very nice looking vessel. You've got a lot of brown in this vessel. Would any cannons be able to fit in the forecastle?
