Better building instructions than LDD ?
Calabar replied to MarkusOSX's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
@Torvik Creating groups is not enough, you have to "transform" the content generated in the lxfml file and add it mannually, as explained in the hrontos's post. Anyway this is a quite complex way to create building instructions with lxf files, you will find various options in the section index, use the one more suitable for you. -
Better building instructions than LDD ?

My old suggestion is still valid: -
LDD tile placement question

You should use a scaffolding. Take a look at this topic, for example. You could find other examples searching inside this section. -
LDD guidlines for good allignment?
Calabar replied to Nico15's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
In order to share images and files, I suggest you to use a LEGO related hosting such as brickshelf or bricksafe, that are affordable and allows yo to use direct links. -
It seems the same case, Brickset for the 540-3 reports "US version of 356-1". Note that this kind of approach is quite common for old sets.

LDD Official Sets UPGRADE Report
Calabar replied to Calabar's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Index updated with informations reported until here. -
That's exactly what I thought. That, together with the politics of the last years about pricing and other things, is unfortunately turning me ever more away from LEGO. I think that investing in China was something like opening the Pandora's box for TLG. Often greediness don't bring to happy endings.

As reported by Brickset, the 460-1 is the US version of 653-1.

Problems with LDD UI on Windows 10
Calabar replied to UrielC's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
@UrielC That user was... you! Pardon me, I've very few time and I can just take a look at the forum, I didn't realize that when I asked psdillon which was his video card, I received an answer from you instead, because you already answered the question. I think you should try to clean video card drivers and maybe try to install some different version. There was a time when LDD worked on this PC in the past? Or it newer worked properly? -
Problems with LDD UI on Windows 10
Calabar replied to UrielC's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Oops, I didn't read the first post and I thought it was another issue. Anyway I think it is a graphic card issue: you have the same problem and the same video card of the user above. -

And your video card is... ? It seems that LDD has some problem with the OpenGL drivers of recent video cards. Many uses experienced problems with latest Nvidia 10X0, but if I'm not wrong someone found some kind of workaround. Maybe poking around with OpenGL setting you could obtain some result. -

[HELP] Add bricks to LDD
Calabar replied to Mads824a's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
LDD don't allow to add any brick or decorations without hacking the software, and this is a forbidden topic here, as written in the Section Rules. So no one here can help you to add bricks or decorations to LDD. Anyway it seems you are not aware of the existence of the Extended Mode, This mode gives you access to a larger choice of bricks and allows you to apply any existing colour to any brick. Take a look at here on how to enable extended mode. -
Maybe something go wrong with inclined parts, especially if the angles of the right and the left side of the model are not perfectly symmetrical. LDD is strict with tolerances, so the parts fit in LDCad but LDD reject them.

LDD "Custom" Stickers/Prints
Calabar replied to letsgorangers's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
oh, it is an old trick! Quite sure you can find something in the Section Index looking for "decorations". -
@nitrofurano Use the other regular posts as example and you will not be wrong. Read the rules in the first page of this topic to ensure you are not doing something forbidden. In this topic both screenshot from the building software and renders are accepted, obviously better is the quality of the image, the better is, In order to share the image and the ldr file please use an affordable file hosting, such as brickshelf or bricksafe, that allow to host both images and lxf files and share that with hotlink.

Ldd on tablets with intel

Operating system, at least? If you have the exact model or a link to its page, please post it. Anyway LDD doesn't run on Android.
