  1. Agree with inkpanther: the best solutions seemsto be BS Backup. It is way better than other options. If you have not a Windows PC, I think it will not be too difficult to find one next you to use for few minutes.

  4. You should share more informations about the LDD model and your computer. This would help us to understand the problem. Besides I can't understand if the issue is appears in safe mode only (it is a compatibility mode, and probably video acceleration is very limited or disabled).
  5. Using the LDD Mode don't ensure that the part exists in a specific colour or with a specific decoration. Even in LDD Mode there are combinations that are not available in real life. In brief LDD Mode is not a "real life" mode, but a simplified mode for youngest users. The only affordable way without an automatic tool (such as LDD Manager, that unfortunately is not up-to-date anymore) is to check the BOM (the bricklist of the parts that compose the model) and check in bricklink if that parts are available. Once that unavailable parts is detected, you can try to replace the colour using an existing one through the shape and colour selection tools. Last but not least, the fact that a brick exists in real life don't mean that it is easy to find or cheap. Often Mocs are full of rare bricks used in large number, and this makes very difficult to built the set in real bricks. PS: Bricklink supports upload from LXF files, unfortunately with some limitations. Note that LDD bricks and bricklink ones have different design ids, so a direct import is not feasible.
  6. @BrokenEye Take a look at here, for example.
  7. @BrokenEye Often it is possible to place together more neck pieces using a scaffolding. When a collision error don't occurs, at least. In this case you will have not a connection, but the parts can be put in place anyway.
  8. 10255 has not been released yet, so it is premature to see its new parts at the moment. Besides it is quite optimistic expect to see "all" the new parts of the set, especially if you include decorations. Even if at the moment this topic seem to be a place where users can flow their wishes than a list where the LDD Team can get ideas of which parts can be added for the next update, I suggest to propose more realistic requests, and exactly specify the desired parts.
  9. Hi lomis, and welcome in the LDD Official Sets topic. Your post is very good, perfectly formatted and sized, but there is one thing you should fix: the images are not screenshots but renders, and only real LDD screenshot are allowed here. If you want you can share the renders as extra using text links. PS: I suggest you to separate the sets in the post using an "HR" line. PPS: as LDD 4.3.10 is out, maybe you want to update the files with the new version, as they have been just posted.
  10. Index updated with informations reported until here.
  11. Same for me! Let's wait that Superkalle or legolijntje will open the new topic then.

  13. I think the problem is not to post the sets in the LDD Official Sets topic, you are absolutely free to contribute or not (it is on a voluntary basis), but to maintain a sort of duplicate and personal topic here. If you want to contribute, there is some rule to follow, but I'm here to guide you, if necessary. Anyway you can use this topic to anticipate your works, if you want.
  14. This is very intricate, and insert the text inside a code snippet... that it exactly what I don't want. The purpose of "No Syntax Highlighting" option is to assign no syntax highlight typical of a specific programming/markup language inside a code snippet. I'd like a fast way to remove text formatting when I paste text instead. For example I've to report the name of a user inside the sentence I'm writing, so I copy it from a post above the one I'm writing, for example x105Black that, as you can see, is not merged with the rest of the text, because the copied text maintains the original format. Anyway I noticed that now, when I add a formatted text, a dark bar pops up on the bottom of the textarea asking me if I want to remove text formatting. It seems to me that this bar didn't appear before today. It is much better than the procedure quoted above, but I think that a simple SHIFT+paste (typical shortcut for this functionality) would be a better and faster way.
  15. To say the true, this topic has been discussed many time: click!
  16. Again about the Rich Text Editor: It seems that SHIFT + Enter is not a way to add a single new line instead than two, but a way to add a completely different type of character, a " Line break without paragraph change". The abuse of this character (many users will use it to avoid double spacing) will generate a mess, because the meaning of that character is different from its real use (it don't interrupt paragraphs!). Besides I noticed that it don't works very fine, and I've to add and remove it more than one time. I can't find an important feature in the new editor: the chance to add plain text. Pasting text from other sources is often a pain, and mess up all the formatting of the paragraph, so I've to open a text editor, paste the text and then copy it again in order to remove the formatting. Usually the plain text is pasted using SHIFT+paste. and please... add back the number of the posts inside a topic! It is a very comfortable reference and I often use it to manage my indexes in the LDD Official Sets topic. What about adding LEGO digital files (and maybe zip files) to the allowed files as attachment? @Kalais @BEAVeR In my experience, in order to add a video as a text link, it is enough to insert the URL using the "Link" button instead then simply paste the URL of the video in the topic.
  17. Thanks, the direct link on the timestamp is a good solution for me, now I've to edit the script I use to gather post ID. What about the chance to see the post's number back again? PS: has someone already asked about adding zip and LEGO cad files (lxf, mpd, ldr, ...) to the allowed files for attachment?
  18. Hi again. There are another pair of thing I'd like to see fixed: In a topic, I can't see post's number and the link. The first is very useful as reference, the second is absolutely necessary for indexing. EDIT: I see the link is accessible clicking on "share" key, but it is much less comfortable that before where I've direct access to the link (it is important for indexing). I received the first private messages, and I immediately noticed the text of the received message don't go new line automatically, but continues beyond the right border of the text area. Tested with Firefox 49 only. In the private messages, the thin list of messages on the left seems a bit uncomfortable, it is possible to have the old fullsize list? If I hide signatures, there is no button to show them again, but I need to search for the option among the account options.
  19. My opinion is that the feature is not desirable at all. The result would be very long posts (the great part of users will use the default "enter" and will not be worried to use the SHIFT+ENTER chance), that reduce the readability of the topic (too much scrolling). About the space behind the quote, I suppose that it is possible to add a bottom margin to the element, and that will solves the issue. Similar approach for the topic merge, you simply need to add a line break (or more) to include among posts when they are merged (or an "HR" element with proper margins, that is my preference, but maybe not ever adequate).
  20. That's unfortunate. No, it is a tragedy. The code created by the rich editor is full of junk code. It is a problem in standard posts, but it is absolutely inadequate for complex posts such as the indexes, that need to be extremely clean. Exactly. I add that I've tons of saved txt files containing BBCoded text that I continuously update in order to have a local backup of critical contents. I need to obtain BBCoded text from the posts in order to do that. Besides I've a lot of tools (including the index manager) that works using bbcode. Come back to manual indexing is not an option, indexes are too huge for this.
  21. Hi all! At first, thanks for the hard work necessary to update this forum. It seems that it brought a lot of changes. Among other things, there is one I miss: the manual editor. It is very important for me to see all the tags in edit mode and not the formatted text. Besides I'd like to see the problem with word wrap in manual editor solved (text don't go new line when it reaches the right side of the text area), as it was never solved in the previous version of the board. After a brief first look at the new board, other things I'd like to see fixed are: the double new line clicking on enter key (not for me, I've not problems to use CTRLSHIFT+Enter, the risk is to reduce the readability of the posts due to an excessive spacing), a better separation between pinned posts and standard post (and maybe a third level of pinned posts, it would be helpful to differentiate permanent pinned posts from temporary pinned posts) and a better placed "quote" button (very invasive in the present position), a better separation for the signature (and maybe a global "collapse" key easily accessible). Ah, another thing: increase the number of supported BBCode tags for each post: in the LDD Official Sets topic I was almost depleting the available space for the index.
  22. It should be able to accept the parameters Malou suggested you in the post #822. PS: ensure that Bluerender is using the 64 bit version of java (from the configuration file or from options, I suppose), because more than one version of Java can coexist in your computer.
  23. Simply ensure that you are downloading the 64 bit version. If it is not explicitly written, probably you are not downloading the correct version. Try this page (I'm redirected here from your link, probably because the OS I'm using now is not Windows 8).
  24. Ok, and in that page, what is the link you clicked? The right one, as you can guess, is "Windows Offline (64-bit)".
  25. Not sure I've understood: is it a 64 bit version of java? The direct link don't work, could you link the page where you downloaded it?
