  1. @inkpanther Eheh move the moon was a pretty exaggeration! Anyway I use both the methods (and other methods too), according with the situation. I think that move the ground is good only if the scene is very simple. If you have a complete building and you want to place a book on the shelf of a room, then the "couple move" method is much better. Try!
  2. @inkpanther Are you sure that lower the ground is the simplest way? And don't forget that lower the ground requires additional bricks too! It seems like in order to reach the moon, you decided to bring the moon here instead then get on a rocket. Add a brick and move it together with the book is usually the faster and easier way.
  3. @inkpanther No need to lower the ground: once the book is placed in the desired direction (select direction using arrows key while the book is "in the air"), you can move it with easily selecting it together (CTRL+Click) with another brick/plate that you can easily connect using its connectable elements (studs, antistuds, etc...). For fine tuning, you can use a scaffolding such as a technic axle and an half bush (inserting the bush in the axle), select together the bush and the book, them move the bush along the axle.
  4. Please provide your hardware and software configuration. A first suggestion: when you uninstall LDD, check if the profile folder (in %APPDATA%, on Windows) has been correctly removed before reinstalling the software. Check your video card driver too. Did your operating system updated the video card driver? Did yo installed or removed any software or change something in your operating system configuration?
  5. Usually, becoming a strong contributor of the LDD Official Sets topic. There could be other ways anyway, the focal point is that you should actively participate to the Eurobricks' digital section with your LDD models. PS: please edit the title of this discussion using a more significative description. PPS: maybe your signature is too long and need to be fixed.
  6. Index updated with informations reported until here.
  7. Hi Miriana. The "ghost" issue appears when there is a collision problem, due to a partial overlap of a brick with another (usually due to a wrong built or to an error in brick's geometry) or when LDD don't find a connection and try to place the brick in the wrong place. As you problem seems to be the second one, I second KamalMYafi's suggestion: use a scaffolding. A scaffolding is a structure that allows you to place a brick where you want and, once the brick is placed, have to be removed. You can find many exaples of scaffolding in this forum, for example this one: click.

  9. Thanks, that will be very useful for many users!
  10. The files I was referring to was complete but now out of date. Not only they contemplate the use of the Extended Mode, but they contain even decorations that are "hidden" in LDD (not accessible both in standard mode and in extended mode, but included in the lif database of LDD).
  11. In the LDD Reference topic you can find some old "all decorations" lxf files, but probably nothing up to date. You could try to use one of these files as a base, but it would be a huge work anyway, because in order to obtain an affordable result you should check all the decorations anyway.
  12. It seems that the new version of the forum blocks the old attachments if the file type is not among those supported at the present time. Wait for Superkalle's answer, maybe he can provide you the file before this problem is fixed.
  13. Index updated with informations reported until here.
  14. Unfortunately the option "Design by me", that allowed to built with LDD and then order from LEGO website has been removed long since. Anyway there are stores (selling circuits) that sell spared LEGO parts (bricklink, brickowl, etc...) where you can look for the parts that compose your creations.

  16. So the question is: is it possible to update the ldraw.xml file used by stud.io?
  17. @koalayummies Don't worry if someone already built the model or want to build it, duplicates are allowed. If you want to build your model and share it in the LDD Official Sets topic, do it! PS: if you are a new builder, please carefully read the rules of the topic in the first post before posting.
  18. Maybe someone want to recreate sets 1290, 1291, 1292, 8296? There sets are not available anymore in the official topic, and we was not able to recover them. Any volunteer?
  19. I don't think it is a matter of code. The code generated by the hrontos script is correct, but it seems that LDD is not able to read more than three (or maybe you are true four... I'm not absolutely sure!) nested levels. My guess is that in the newest versions of LDD overwrite the " BuildingInstruction" area when this problem occurs (previous versions simply ignored the deeper levels, if I'm not wrong). But it is only a guess, maybe some try will help us to clarify.
  20. Did you make some try? I mean... did you understand why sometimes it works and sometimes it immediately rewrite the "BuildingInstruction" area? Maybe it is due to an excessive number of nested levels? If I'm not wrong, max level supported is three. PS: it would be better to enclose the long code you write above inside "code" tags, and maybe remove all that bold from the following post.
  21. Referring to Hrontos post #6, it seems that the transition to the new board removes the attachment (maybe because zip files are now allowed anymore). So here is a copy of the attachment: CLICK.
  22. In the top bar of the editor you use to write messages. It is the button represented by two angle brackets: <>
  23. @tec6666 Please include the log among "code" tags.
  24. Hi Migui94, and welcome in the LDD Official Sets topic. Thanks for your contribution, anyway you should fix your post in order to be regular, so that I can add it to the index. You should: - Take again your screenshots, using the functionality integrated in LDD (CRTL+K), maintaining the original PNG format with alpha channel. - Crop your images, removing ALL the borders arounf the subject (zero-pixels border). Take a look at the images posted by other users as example. - Resize your images. Maximum size allowed is 512x pixels for large sets (in your case an adequate size could be 320x pixels) - Change file and image hosting. I suggest you to use a LEGO related hosting such as brickshelf or bricksafe, that are affordable and allow to host both images and lxf files and share that with hotlink. I'll fix few things in the layout for you. You could use the "Ready Pack" provided in this guide (post #2) to easily crop&resize your images. You can find all the rules of this topic in the first post. Please read them carefully. EDIT: Almost done, two things to fix: - Images are not perfectly cropped, please remove the thin border you leave around the subject (few pixels, but the crop have to be 0-pixels). - Images are oversized: 512px is too much for small sets like these. As I suggested above, a size around 300x pixels will be adequate PS: about the image of the set 42059, you could try to rebuilt the missing ramp with standard tiles and plates, avoiding to show the blank space inside the image. When a part is not available, a custom solution is welcome.
  25. LDD screenshots are PNG files with alpha channel: that means you can add the background you want behind the subject of the image. To obtain this, you have to use the screenshot feature integrated in LDD, both from menu or using the CTRL+K keyboard shortcut.
