    The Hoqwarts is not minifig scale is it? :) DA will be in minifig scale and it should be the definitive depiction of it. Thats why Gringots will be in separate set...

    Maybe you are right. That could mean that you can form an enclosed alley which will have 50 cm length and 25 cm width. :) Nooooo, just noo open backs. This isnt set for kidds to play, but for us HUGE figures to display :D

    I hope that those buildings will have enclosed back side and will fit to the modular street. Its odd that the set measurements are only 13 cm width (25x25 cm is standard modular baseplate). Anyway I am hoping that pictures will be out soon.

    The bright colour (azure) is more acurate since its lagoon nearby the island. It cozld be transparent I agree but theeae pltes are not in transparent colour yet and I assume that there would be budget problems to do that... BUT you can cover tham with layer of trans clear tiles like in Ninjago city for example. I will certainly do it. I will also swithch the plates for the baseplates and then cower them with layers of azure and darker blue colours and then add layer of those tiles to have it more modular and better fit into my layout... ;)

    Thats a great idea, I was thinking about some kind of modular solution too since the interiors are hard to acces normally... There will be problem with that mast though since its assembled by 2x2 round bricks and technic axle which leads through the deck...

    It requires only to remove some furniture and those Golden window bars and voila - u can place 8 cannons ;)

    I can agree with some parts of your statement but definitelly not agree with the last one that “Pirate bay is disaster.” Fans cannot be fully sarisfied either way its imposible to do that anyway. If they come up with 100% translate of original ideas submission there will be many others who will consider the final product as a bland rectangular pile of brown bricks... :) I can understand that final result is diferent in many ways and its more play-set rather than submitted moc, but it has some appeal and soul with all credits to the original designer Pablo. Cause without him there wouldnt be no set like this. P.S. Besides some recolours as far as I can see, original submission has no special techniques, it was rather moc than anything else. Having said that, many of us can recreate it by ourselves.

    Its meant to be the same pirate, both designers confirmed that. You can see some similarities on the face as well... its just modernized (you know after almost 25 yrs...)

    The whole idea was about shipwrecked base, and final product delivered it without any doubt. Only difference is that they add more functionality and 90s pirate theme references. If u look on the prototypes they made, u can clearly see the develepment process and to be honest, those first sketeches looks bland, static and uninteresting, since they had tryied to replicate original idea as close as possible. Many lego sets had their naratives and most of them cant be justified to lego fans, but this is not the case... as far as I can see Pablo (original designer) had no problems with those changes (I think that there alwas a mention somewhere that he welcomes them). And if this set sells well I think we can all hope for proper pirate theme, maybe even tied in to the original 90s one. And that is more that we could hope for. So as I said un-true in all circumstances. ;)

    So un-true. Maybe u should pay attention to the designers interview either on New Elementary or Beyond the Brick channel. There u will find all answers u need ;)

    I was thinking about this whole “new” medieval-ish approach in Ninjago upcomming season and maybe TLC is going to test its succes and MAYBE acording to sales they wil came up with some proper medieval theme... new Viking and Knigjt in CMF series, new ideas Blacksmith... who knows?

    I would rather see some Ep. IV-VI sets + Mandalorian sets than the prequel trilogy. Maybe another Endor battle set (could be D2C), Star Destroyer with interior details, Updated Death Star (new approach rather then-current one), Tatooine sets (Cantina, Lars home...), Scout troopers battle pack with speeder bikes, etc.

    November - Krennic Imperial Shuttle (75156), December - Imperial Shuttle Tydirium (75096) and AT ST Raider (75254)... Love those three :) But Tydirium is the best!

    Disagree with the Dinner Car... I like it and consider it as one of the better cars we have so far (besides Speed Champs and even those are not the best). Besides how many cars allows you to put 2-3 figs inside? Simpsons and that's it... Both DD and BS are great to me. Zoo us utopia dream. Maybe some anniversary set but it doesn't seems likely... One of them will be add on to the Fairground sets. Perhaps Tower?

    I hope that this winner car submission would be in deferent colour rather then teal again. There is already too much teal within recent modular sets already. Also hopo for chrome details and not in pearl something...

    Many previous modulars had 5 minifigs (BB, PR...), Pet Shop or Green Grocer had only 4. Special pets? What about bird and chmeleon? Arent they special enough? And regarding design - have you build it already? It has many advanced techniques never used in official set before... so what r u complaing really? Perhaps u dont have many experience with this series but every new modular has more and more creative approach... price is good comparing last year CG. If u count in inflatuon proce is ok compared to the previous sets which was 169 USD and before back in 2011-2013 159 USD.

    I didn't deny that did I? :) I just said that I personally dont count MS as modular. Sorry, my mistake I meant CG. :) Do has only a kitchen, not an apartment or another type of living quarters... Just smuggling kitchen... :)

    You can simply remove those tiles or replace them partially with 2x2 tiles with a jumper...Overall I like this set too, it's really\ something differešnt and exceeds the regular lacklustre design of most of the city sets. Only "but" is aimed at the cars. I really dont understand why TLG didn't make cars for two figures... They already know how :)
