Actually I think Lego started to pay more attention to the fact that minifigs should have some places to live... For example: AS 1 apartment, PS 2 apartments PR 1 apartment CG 1 apartment Bookstore (BS?) 2 apartments Before only GG had 1 apartment and maybe CC could be transformed (or at least furnished and moded). So overall its welcomed change of approach, and I hope that the next modular will also have at least one living unit. OR, it could be some public building such as a School or Museum. I dont know if there is any pattern for residential /service/business buildings... wait a sec.: CC - business (hotel) GC - shop (grocery)/apartment FB - public service GE - shop(s) PS - shop (pets) /apartment TH - public service (governmental building) PC - public service/business? (cinema) PR - business (restaurant) / apartment DO - business (barber)/public service (detective) BB - business (laundromat)/public service (bank) AS - multiple business/shops/apartment DD - business (diner)/public service (gym/recording studio) CC - business ( service st.)/public service (vet)/apartment BS - shop (books)/apartments (not counting MS as it doesn't belong to the series officially)

R u troll or what? Or forget to take your medicine...? :D

Disagree (but understand your point). To me, it's adorable as it is. Nice small townhouse... Together with Bookshop its so cute and romantic. :) Only miss is the absence of toilet or small bathroom... even in the basement like Wess originally planned.

Modulars usually use only existing pieces, mostly the new ones in previous sets. Only new elements are new prints for special decoration such as windows or tiles and recolours. Be glad for that many new pieces form previous sets such as 1x1 round bricks/tiles, quarter round 1x1 tiles, new recolours of leaf pieces and foliage etc... :) This set, as well as its predecessors, is a great parts package. I honestly like trees and greenery in generall within the modular series BUT this is the first proper tree we get. Before (BB, DO, CG) it was a parody on tree rather than tree :D

It doesn't work well with the teal townhouse. The archway above the door should be above the door and not on the second floor above the window. It will require more modding than that. But honestly, I personally like modular sizes so I never had a need to add extra floors to them. It somehow ruins the spirit (example - Green Grocer, Brick Bank or Parisian Restaurant where extra floors is ruining the overall impression). This time, that teal building is considerably small, BUT it will fit nicely to the small town...

Nice review from Solid Brick Studios but hey guys, dont you think that David just use word "LITTLE" too much? Little Timmy, with a little plane...little porch, with little doors where are those little chairs, little rug and little lamp, a little table with a mug on it, little friend, a little chameleon in a little tank, little gate, gunny little Parisian restaurant cheese, little Santa sack, little stairs, little pumpkin patch, little umbrella hanger, little fireplace (...) GOSH, WTF? :D

As I expect. Make two 32x16 buildings as Pet Shop and interior wil suffer. This time its kinda neat but still way to empty on my taste... Pitty. Especially bookstore... there was such a potential to make nice details but .... you saw result. Still 100x better than CG. Like it. -

I would not. Too many bussineses or split houses like Pet Shop means too crowdy tiny space with less details and room for figs. Bleee :) -

Bookstore / optometrist will be more likely that teo bussines combo. It will have that typical lego joke like bank / laundromat or secret cookies bakery / detective office... Still I am curious how it will look like. Mostly colour, facade and shape :) -

I agree, its a very amazing set. Playable, displayable, with many features, smart builds and techniques and overal for a great price. But since its not a modular, its kinda not fair to compare (at least in a way that NC represents a whole city - or bigger part of it on 32x32, but modulars represents just one/two buildings - or three in case of AS). Its just different. -

Hounted House is not Modular in terms of Modular building series. Same as Ninjago City or Ninjago city docks. Modulars are series branded as Creator Expert series. Hounted house was D2C within Monster fighters line. Besides it has different system. Modulars have detachable floors but HH has openning on side like doll house. -
