Woah, this build would be huge irl. If I would have to conjur this up, I wouldn't know where to start. Impressive.

Well, I can only say three things; - Tesla! - It just needs an awesome ride. (airship? automobile? cycle?) - More automaton's.

I'm diggin' the whole concept idea; postapoc seaplane + survivors + guns etc. Love the use of that hull, but I can only advise you to give it another go... Try and combine different shades of grey to get a more overall cohesive color tone. And use other colors to make things stands out. Let seperate elements (such as the engines) flow/connect to the body, so it makes a more complete build. Anyway, right now it looks more like a mock-up to me, I bet this can be a stunner.

Thanks guys! Only Sinner> Wish we would have hovercars and bikes by now... But the future lost its promise. So we have to make it up ourselves. B34TBOXX5> It's a shrunken head. I actually made the undercarriage for a NCS project which didn't work out, but it was too nice not to use. Normally I would mod a whole bunch of pieces btw, only modded 8 on this build. Which are all hidden away from view. Chro> It has to have some sort of element that it could be real.

Been away from building for a while; work and BF3CQ kept me all too busy. But I couldn't help myself picking up the pieces and build a Lego house something. Somehow it puts my mind at ease and makes me relaxed... Anyway, here you go, without further delay: Piston; a hover pickup truck inspired by 'Retro-futurism'. Thanks guys. The whole interior was rather a challenge to make; didn't want the black on the inside, but no light grey on the outside as well. :)

Agreed those stabilizers are neat, though I can't help it to say I don't digg that middle cabinet; that it's hinged on the top side while those other cabinet are hinged on the down side. Maybe only cosmetic, but I would switch it so that they all hinge at the same level. Maybe some other styled tires as well.

I'm not really impressed with these new sets; more like 'meh'. Didn't like the insectoids range either when I was a kid btw. Though I'll probably pick me up some of the Galaxy Squad figs.

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm in the progress of building another hovercar.. . Haha, yeah I just love late 80's/early 90's scifi, everything is so overly done, like in this build the oversized greebs do the trick.

Like that snowblower, but most of all I'm loving the radiator design; straightforward + instantly recognisable.

Agreed, this is a great concept! Also reminds me a bit of Fabuland but minifig sized, if that makes any sense, anyway; I like it!

Haha, simply great. Put a smile on my face right away; he's going bananas/apesh*t! (can I say that?) Anyway, there's something about that monkey that it keeps being the best 'animal' of lego.

The jeep just makes me drool, instanly brings me back to that scene with the fat guy getting spit in his face. Got only 2 points of criticism; try out some decals, maybe it will look great and I don't like the spare wheel, maybe a similar version of the wheels you used will look better. Other than that it's all praise.
