So it's been a while since I last build something; started 3 projects, all aborted due to lack of inspiration. But like magic I sighted a chest piece laying around and had a little eureka moment; 'looks like the back of a car'. While building a prototype, 'Blade Runner' got a grip on me, and behold... Set 1195 Alien Encounter; worst space set ever. Looks like it's build by the kid next door... Actually the majority of Life On Mars sets looks like that, except for some bigger sets.

The construction of the wheel section is rather stiff and the fat tire is a wedged between those cheese slopes so it has enough resistance not tumbling over.

I understand. Well, to make it somewhat easier without spoiling the build; the engine pods contain forward facing guns and rear facing props. I only need to determine their position relative to the main body. It's like cutting the wings of a regular airliner and glueing them either more to the front or to the back.

So I haven't been building during the summer... Now I've picked up the pieces again. In the past I've been asked to build something bigger, which I'm doing now; an alternate reality WW2 sky-fi starfighter plane. Already made engine pods, fuselage, guns, and done most of the details. The only thing I can't decide on is the configuration; engines up front or engines at the back It both looks good, but can't decide; I'm diggin' the hammerhead style cause it's different, but also love the regular style cause it's more realistic. So, how about a little help here; what would you like to see and why?

True, but doing such a good job on your own face while laying down without a mirror... Haven't seen anyone dying from starvation/dehydration.

Just seen it last night. And I expected more... I thought it was 'meh'. Though I liked the city visuals and the dystopian lottery 1984 style. Some things I just couldn't understand; Why such a shiny bow, you're in the woods, no black/camo version? Same goes for the backpack with that huge orange patch, easy marker!? Also when Peeta Mellark is all blended in with that rock, how can he do that. Makes no sense. There should've been more 'survival trap kills'; dead fall full of spiky sticks, impalling snares etc. No fire 'coal' element during the game? As it was all hyped up. 'Hunger' games, I haven't seen them eating grubs Ray Mear's style. The end seemed to be rushed, no kill cams of the last couple of kills. So 'meh'.

Diggin' the look of those aliens, especially the 4-legged one. Just an idea, don't know if it would look good; turn around those hind legs, so they face forward. And I would love to see a regular blue version (instead of red) + light gray (instead of black) + yellow (instead of white) of those marines; Classic Space 2.0

The DJ has some nice headphones, but the floor is really nice!

I checked out some Motorcity today; I'm diggin all the guns/missiles, over the top designs, and screaming paint jobs. Maybe you could try to make it more cartoony; offset scales and proportions.

Great job! Now you just need to build that Coyote and some weird TNT trap.

Just wow! Love the feet and inside; especially the brown is a nice touch. Too bad that side piece is still studded, since the rest is just so smooth. Other than that; again wow. Can't wait to see those other 'Ground Pounders'.
