I voted yesterday and also on 1. BTW has the poll being down done anything to the vote. I recall the first vote showing a bigger lead for number 1 than this one does. Or is it simply because of more votes. :-/

I don't think that is what's making the difference. Sinner and I agreed to changed the "teaser pic" for MOC 2 believing that most people would just look at the pics in the first post, not read anything and vote based on those two pics. MOC 2 is based on three vehicles and the original pic posted just one vehicle. No offense to those who do read everything, my feeling is that a lot of people don't like to read everything...

Either way, we agreed that the new picture shows MOC 2 much better and that was one of the reasons I went to edit the post and God knows what happened next except for catastrophe! :'-( But everyone has been really great about being honest and not voting twice.

Neither Sinner or I believe that the new pic would make a significant difference but I hope it is the reason for the narrowing of the lead, because then at least all the trouble everyone went through is somewhat worth it. Speaking of which, thanks again to *yoda* for helping us get it back together and everyone who continues to vote and keep this thread good honest fun and thanks to Sinner and SW4J for helping me deal with pollgate. I know *yoda* thinks I'm being a drama queen but the whole thing had me pretty sad for a while :'-( :'-( :'-(

For the next one I have a glorious idea to add spices !! Hear me out: once the sets are decided, we (admins) decide on the theme of the MOCs !! So that everyone is at the same level hehe !! and we should have more than 2 people :-P

I would appreciate any help. We would love to do this again, and I am hoping to arrange one with about five people. I do agree that a set theme would make the voting more even; IMHO too much freedom caused trouble in the Police car comp. Mr Muscle's entry in particular was completly different to the others for example, yet still permitted. As it was I think people voted for what type of design they liked. If it was based on skill alone I would have won without question. Not enough Mad Max fans here probably.

Ugh. There's not enough time in a day. Sinner, can I please have 24 hours to finish the contest. I would really like the new comic to coincide with the close of the contest. It's my mom/mum's birthday and I need to leave the house soon. All I have to do is add the dialogue. As soon as it's done I'll let you know. Hinckley is going on holiday soon (to Disneyland to see Norrington I believe) so I have decided to delay any of the punishments until his return; how can he be humiliated if he is not here to experience it?

yes tis true, obviously I am not a space builder. I did really struggle with this. Overall I'm happy with what I built but even if we hadn't agreed to vote for eachother's I still would've picked yours over mine. It's incredibly smart! I was so surprised when I got to the picture where everything had been released. 8-

Well thanks! The title was my idea. I was going to wait but *yoda* asked for one last night and I feared if I denied the request I would suffer. I love your new avatar. Picking an avatar for you will be hard as you seem to enjoy punishign yourself! Perhaps a Galidor head.... :-X :-P

Speaking of which, what the hell is this:

Actually that was my favourite part of your MOC. Aside from the colours I thought it was quite good. Strewth, it was hard to use that blue! I cheated and used mine internally a lot; the entire bridge uses it, but you can't tell that due to the lack of photos. I must admit that I didn't realise it was a tank though.... :-$

Next time I think we should have at least seven photos, or make a rule on composite photos. Perhaps the rule should be seven photos of a set resolution; then you can choose either large photos or many small. I was annoyed that I couldn't highlight;

1. The rear

2. The landing gear

3. The thrusters

4. My food box

5. A top view

....etc. A single group shot would have enabled me to do that. But I won, so why am I complaining? :-$

When I get back I'll post more pics of my MOC and explain why I made some of the choices I made.

I look forward to that. Earlier on you said to me you were making a holiday house.. were you joking or not? I beleived you and was very surprised at what you ended up making. :-P

My favorite part of this is that Sinner and I chose the same pilot. Independently built the exact same pilot. I wonder what the chances of that are...Plus we used the turbine pieces very similarly with the long dark red wedge pieces and the razors.

I thought that was pretty freaky too. I built that pilot at a late stage as I kept in reserve the Merman set. My first pilot was the same with a Dino Attack head.

Speaking of which I think next time we should post the sets that we used in the first post as well. I think some people came by and didn't realize that it was a FFLSMP. People who were asking why we chose those colors, for instance.

Sinner, would you like to have the next one in the fall (Sep-Nov)? Should I keep the bucket then? Or should the stakes be different next time. Two out of three to settle...what are we fighting about again? :-P

PS- by the way, since we closed the competition I voted for you again so I could see the results without having to press the show results button...
