Continuing the line of strange looking airplanes... This alternate from the set 60064 Arctic Supply Plane has been inspired by the asymmetrical reconnaissance aircraft from the german manufacturer Blohm und Voss. Now this is what "eurotrash" mentioned in my earlier post. Starting from this point I tried to find the right measures for the wings (which were bent up at the ends, making some headache for me). I used THIS drawing for verifying the proportions, but I had to change several points because of the part availability. During flight they can be folded up to the wings. Hello everyone! Almost one year passed since I've posted my very first alternate model, so I decided to make another one. With the new John Deere Skidder (42157), I bought its smaller brother as well - and the idea was born... It definitely wasn't a hauler from the beginning, my intention was to build something completely different, which just didn't go well. Building time was around 5 hours, therefore one well-spent afternoon, though I improved the coloring the next day This time I also decided to get rid of traditional white background and change my presentation a bit, hope you like it. The model features: Articulated steering with HOG behind the cabin Tilting the cargo bed About 91% of parts provided by the set were used (none of them were spares), render with leftover parts is shown below: And a 360° view (could be better, however I don't really have 17 500 hours of time to waste ): And last but not least - a short demonstration video: If anyone is interested, instructions can be found on Rebrickable. FREEDOM GUNDAM Allow me to introduce my alternate model of the LEGO Technic 42145 Airbus H175 Helicopter. It uses only the parts included in the set. It is based on the ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam with slightly changed colour combo due to the donor set. The robot measures: 47 cm in height 61 cm in wingspan The model features 4 motorized functions operated by a gearbox: Wing movement Torso rotation Arm movement Head rotation Other features include: Poseable shoulders, elbows and thumbs Poseable hip, shoulder and knee guards Accessories include: Beam Rifle Shield Sword The battery box is attached to a brace that helps to stabilize the figure but it stands perfectly on an even surface. 42152 Conwing L-16 Cargo Seaplane - alternate build

Hi folks, I want to share a new creation. Rebuild your Lego Technic 42152 Firefighter Aircraft into this Conwing L-16 Cargo Seaplane alias "Seaduck" from the famous cartoon Talespin. This model is an alternate build, meaning all 926 required parts comes from the main set with no extra parts needed. The plane uses 4 spare parts, that are all available with the set 42152 Firefighter Aircraft with a total parts count of 930. Get ready to join the Higher for Hire Cargo Company with its pilot Baloo von Bruinwald XIII, to rebuild one of the most iconic planes in cartoon history. You can find instructions here if you are interested in building this model. Features & Functions fast spinning propeller in opposite direction working rudder on wings openable cargo bay with linear actuator dual-linkage mechanism for cargo doors implemented wheels for comfortable playing includes two offshore buoys measures 40x46x12cm Impressions Propeller & rudder Propeller for that seaplane are custom made to fit the scale of this alternate build. Both propeller are geared up as much as possible, spinning very fast but smoothly in opposite direction by turning the red gear on top. I was not happy about the rudder implementation for the Firefighter Aircraft donor set. As a result, the rudder on wings are operable in a more comfortable way for this model. Cargo bay & doors To be confirm with the Higher for Hire Cargo Company, this Conwing L-16 is made to transport freight, providing as much space in the back as possible. By controlling the black gear behind the nose, a linear actuator is triggering a sliding mechanism to open the cargo doors. This mechanism opens the cargo door itself and part of the roof simultaneously, providing more room to reveal the cargo bay. The following animation should help to understand how the dual-linkage mechanism for the cargo doors works: Floating over surfaces This model is made as a seaplane only with no retractable landing gears, due the fact that the linkage mechanism inside takes up almost all the space. Thanks to the implemented wheels, the plane floats very smoothly over each surface to ensure a good playability. Of course this Conwing L-16 is a construction toy, do not put it into water. This model does not really float on water, but on its wheels instead. The seaplane has a heavy back wing like the real one, performing a take-off when displaying the model. Builders will be surprised what clever techniques and tricks are used to form all the shapes of the model, especially for the iconic red nose. Recently, due to lack of motivation to do something useful, I tried to rebuild mini set 42148 Snow Groomer. The result is 16 alternative models (sorry for the lack of real photos): Short description of functions (order by creation time): 1. Tractor - working and detachable lawnmower trailer 2. Tank - turret rotating, cannon lifting and openable tailgate 3. Racer - based on 42095 set, no functions other than rolling tracks 4. Robot - adjustable arms, head and mouth 5. Dumper - raising bed 6. Forklift - elevated forks and pallet 7. Loader - forest machine (similar to 42094 set) with elevated arm and working grabber 8. Bulldozer - movable blade and adjustable ripper 9. Road Roller - steering 10. Skid Steer Loader - tracked telehandler with elevated arm, movable forks and 2 liftable accessories 11. Road Grader - HoG steering, blade turning and openable engine cover 12. Catapult - working shooting mechanism 13. Monotrack - no functions other than rolling track 14. Hamster Wheel - rotated wheel with knob 15. Dragster - openable cabin and retractable support for faking wheelies 16. An alternate model for Bugatti Bolide. My second alternate model in 2023! :D Featuring front wheel steering and fake V6 engine.
