In the US, you earn 1 VIP points for every $1 you spend (not including tax or shipping). So if you buy a $9.99 set, you earn 9.99 VIP points. Once you earn 100 points, you get a $5 reward. So basically, you get $5 for every $100 you spend. They expire in December, 2 years after you earn them. Every few months, Lego has offers of double or even the rare triple VIP points. though triple hasn't happened in a long time. That's usually when I rack up points on large sets like the modular buildings.

I have a good amount of VIP points saved so I'm picking these all up on day 1 at the Lego store. Then I'll just buy the D2C Hogwarts when it's released for retail price and hopefully double VIP points. You're welcome!

I had a lot of issues with some of the colors they used for Lord of the Rings minifigs--particularly Aragorn--so I can relate to what deskp is saying.

It is very cool the see the evolution of this set. This looks like a fantastic model that I'm really excited about. You did an excellent job with this. Is there any chance that Professor McGonagall will have both regular legs and the new dress piece? I'm sure you can't tell us but I have to try :)

The hat was okay for it's time but I really started to loathe it when they used it for Gandalf. Gandalf deserved a new molded hat/hairpiece combo and he wound up being the most disappointing fig in the entire LOTR line (which I loved overall).

I'm sick of that old wizard hat. I would prefer either a new mold or just a bun hairpiece for McGonagall.

Ahhhh. Great observation. I think you are correct! Well, come to think of it, wasn't that just a normal sized snake. And the description does say call it the Basilisk.

Perhaps but this set seems to be based on the early films and Nagini didn't first make an appearance until Goblet of Fire.

Snape is not included in this set. I think he may show up in the Whomping Willow set or probably the rumored UCS Hogwarts. We can't see Fawkes in any of these photos, unfortunately.

Agreed. I think the set looks fantastic but I too would prefer a proper Wayne Manor. And I already have the Joker Funhouse and Jokerland sets. I don't need yet another building decked out in Joker paraphernalia.

I'm underwhelmed. I was hoping he would get the Venkman/12th Doctor style hair in black with white. If he does have a double sided face I'll be a little more pleased but for now I'm just kind of "meh." And Ra's is one of my favorite Batman villains so that's pretty disappointing. -
