  1. This is posted in the technic forum, however I wish to share it here too as the technic forum has little model team focus. see the original thread here : http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=98498
  2. Thank you for the kind words, and for posting this on your blog. I also look forward to seeing the project completed! The round 2x2's have axles inside them, which overlap the joints of the 2x2's. 2x2 round bricks also have strong clutch power. Furthermore, the engine itself connects to the frame at the top and bottom, and so adds strength to the frame. Time will tell!
  3. I think so, flex cables are pretty tough and there's 24 of them. the model weighs aprox. 2kg according to LDD manager. I am anticipating some flex/sag, and thus a few degrees more rake and a lower ride height on the physical model.
  4. Nice and fast. You have a perfect garden for rockcrawlers!
  5. I have designed a power functions motorcycle, with no stabilizers or outriggers, a real leaning motorcycle. 100% Lego. Sorting out a bricklink order, I hope it to become the first succesful Technic Cussoo. 300 or so parts.
  6. As a motorcyclist and the a moc motorcycle builder, I can tell you that the 42007 is a good model of a motorcycle, and that they chose a speedway bike as the B model is wicked
  7. For sale, my unwanted orange parts, from a couple of Creator "Street Rebel" motorcycles I bought ages ago. Completely unused, smoke free, low km's etc etc. May suit train builder? Pardon the phone photo.

I don't know the exact value, lego is expensive here so maybe 5-8$ aud. Thin liftarms would be good, I don't really use thick ones much.

I need more of these, if you have any: toggle connectors, in light bley or black http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=11&itemID=888 any angle connectors on light bley or black http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=86&itemID=525 36t gear in black or light bley http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=11&itemID=17382 these tyres http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=11&itemID=1817 steerinw wheel/ pulley in black or bley http://www.bricklink.com/search.asp?colorID=86&itemID=688 If not I would consider swapping any dark/light bley or black technic
  10. Anything compact is a real challenge, well done

    Absoloutely, I'd consider any technic!
  12. Technic 8857 "Street Chopper" has a dragster B model, the most realistic Lego have ever made. It is proudly on my bookcase, and the only vintage set I have purchased thus far.
  13. Nice, very smooth. Putting the slopes on the rear quater panels mad a nice difference, and the roof looks much sleeker now. I don't know why people are asking for bigger models, it's more of a challenge to build a detailed small model, and giant models are dime-a-dozen. Beside, thanks to the old square-cubed law, one can build three awasome small cars, using the parts that would make one big car that would only be twice as big. If you catch my drift.
  14. That's a wowser, check out the double-wide back wheels! Is that the ONLY LeMans prototype-class car lego have ever produced?
  15. UPDATE: 90% finished. Over 700 Parts! I've never done a full fairing before, I prefer naked bikes. I deliberately left the engine uncovered. I am satisfied with the way this came out. Allmost retro looking with the round headlight, but it looks thoroughly modern from behind - which is what most motorists would see of such a machine in the real world.
  16. Thanks! I love that virago chop. "Frameless" bike rule. I think it looks a lot like the Confederate hellcat too.
  17. Beautiful and detailed, true model team excellence
  18. You know, I'd never considered building an adventure bike. I will now! Here are some pics of the bike in my avatar: and this is how it looks now, crapppy photo's though.
  19. Challenging indeed, do your best, by the looks of your cars it will be good enough to do it justice
  20. Sure, once I have built it for myself Hell, I'll write a book one day, "how to build Lego motorcycles". There's plenty more where this one came from.
  21. Awesome. Finish it, since you are 9/10ths there. Take a photo, and you'll have it forever! My only constructive criticism: I think the rear windscreen is a bit jagged where it joins to the roof. I think you should use your parts, old school taste and skill to build a 1970 GT-R KPG10
  22. Datsun's Celica, transam prepped
  23. Would it be possible to put two or 3 XL electric motors on one shaft in one XL motor housing? There's definately room, but I don't know if it's easy to change the steel centre shaft.
