How did Lego become a gender battleground
TheLegGodt replied to grum64's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Lesson learnt? Sounds like the mob were after you ;-) Anyway, whether the topic is in the right section or not, it remains a relevant and sometimes frustrating topic. I have 2 girls who love Lego Friends as well as other lines. I think LEGO offers a healthy selection for boys and girls to choose from. So let the kids choose and stop trying to over-control what they should like. Having said this, I wonder why we haven't had a gay minifigure yet? Oh right, maybe we have but you don't see it on the surface. And i think that is exactly the point. -
Why Was Benny's Helmet Broke In The LEGO Movie?
TheLegGodt replied to CrazyDalton777's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
That's what my ones look like too. Chewed, cracked, demter: used and loved! -
I have emmet racing down my main street and the police hover car is hovering over the skynline. Not because I wanted to have a futuristic look but because I simply love mixing seemingly unrelated sets into a coherent layout. Just like the Lego Movie!

Creationary was and is a good and fun game, will get even the grandparents building!

Hi Bran and welcome! As a kid I once sold some 40 CD's in my collection for peanuts as well. Could buy maybe 2 or 3 new ones. Granted, I don't mind having lost my Jason Donovan CD (it was teenage-hormones and the Kylie duet that made me buy it I think) but hell I sure regretted the rest. Would never ever ever ever ever do that again. I can only begin to imagine what it must feel like to have a similar scar inflicted by selling off your old LEGO...

Where is the Santa's Workshop official LEGO video?
TheLegGodt replied to Andy D's topic in LEGO Town
These are nice mocs but I think the original poster was looking for a video made by TLG announcing this years Winter village set: Santa's workshop. I am pretty sure it has not been released yet. -
Lego S&H delivery times are very fast since they opened a new hub last year in Zwolle NL. New sets are usually deliverd the next day, at least that has been my experience with my last few orders...

Post.nl is experimenting with Sunday deliveries for a few customers. Perhaps TLG is one of them, in which case lucky us!

I am sure it will. I suspect we are all getting our knickers in a twist about nothing. There were the same worries about BTTF and Ghostbusters and they are still available today. The only 2 sets I can think of in recent years that actually sold out very quickly were the limited edition 41999 and the NASA marsrover. The latter took me by surprise, I didn't expect that. But even that wasn't the same day...

I also ordered mine this morning around 8.30 from S&H NL. Was still available when ordered. No confirmation mail yet but as someone else also stated that is quite normal. I am optimistic it will arrive tomorrow in the post and when I look-up the status on the website it will still read 'in process'. This wouldn't be the first time... Also, do we really think this is such a hot item? I am sure in any case that if you order now you will at least get it beginning september at the latest. Maybe earlier, the new delivery dates are always very pessimistic.

Tough to choose between Assembly and Clutch. Both are very cool and relevant and by the way I retract my entry 'Act' as being completely useless ;-) I also think collection is too generic and not fun enough to refer to our beloved ___ of minifigs. I mean, I also have a collection of films, mini cars I used to own, games and girls (obviously the latter because I have 2 daughters OK?). On a side note, I think this is one of the most fun topics I have read in a long time congrats to the original poster for living-up the forum a bit!

Interesting... it's the same concept as the wedding cake set and the birthday cake set. So is this a set for on top of the Christmas cake? This set might actually make start liking the stuff ;-)

I've noticed this before with exclusive sets. They show up already om the S@H in the US (though not for sal yet) but in Europe they are not visible until the day it goes on sale. Just change your country setting to see what I mean...

When you look at the examples of Legoman it appears to me that the word used can also be used as a verb i.e. cobras quiver and cows heard together. That would disqualify 'plastic' although 'collection' would work right? We need to think: what do minfigs most distinctively do? Here's my thought: an ACT of minifigs, because minifigs can ACT like they can do everything since they can be made in the likeness of anyone.

More recent modulars will not increase in value that rapidly. The first two caught collectors out, but many more people are savvy to them nowadays. As the last few posters have said, enjoy your LEGO as a hobby knowing - and that is already rather unique - that even after you have 'played' with it the set has hardly lost any value. Even if nothing is gained that is already quite a win!

It has been removed. Probably a mistake while getting ready for 1-8.

Just looked at the S@H (Netherlands). It has a banner with the Exosuit saying 'buy now'. When you click on it you get the message 'Product not available at this time'. My guess it is going up for sale today and the site is being updated as we speak. Only... I was hoping to buy this together with the Ideas Science project, also to save on postage. Any guesses how soon the Exosuit will sell-out? I mean for sure it will be a success judging by the AFOL excitement upfront!

I've lost count but it must be about 30. The idea of MOCcing with them crossed my mind too but I think they will always end up looking clumsy. Is there anyone out there who can prove me wrong?

There's been a whole discussion about this on the forum covering the full range of arguments for and against investing in LEGO. Look it up. My takeaway personally is that it is not worth investing money in LEGO. But read it for yourself and draw your own conclusion I say.

Can LEGO customer service do this?
TheLegGodt replied to addemlit's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I only have positive experiences. I think LEGO is pretty reputable and consumer-consious. I imagine that if they doubted you they would at least ask questions rather than simply ignoring you. Perhaps it has got lost somewhere in translation. Why not just phone them? -

Ah yes I see it now. They are clearly overshadowed by the quality of the designs of your own MOCs.

very nice and I recognise the carousel, toy shop and bakery. Why did you not include the other official WV sets (cottage, post office)? Just curious...
