LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Did you notice that it is not only an armprint, but the shoulder plate of Mando also has the print of the mudhorn. How ingenious is that! Day One purchase! -
The red 75175 is an RZ1 A-Wing, as used by the rebellion. This Version has been shorter und a bit wider than the newer green 75248 RZ2, used by the Resistance. Lego realized this very difference quite nicely as far as I think.

[MOC] MANDALORIAN OUTPOST ON TATOOINE | mini diorama
NerdYoda replied to NerdYoda's topic in LEGO Star Wars
New subtleties. A detailed moisture vaporizer (based on the model from Mos Eisley Cantina) to add a little more depth and perspective. Instead, the small white evaporator has moved to the background, next to Kuiil's hut. Kuiils has also received glasses and a Probe Droid is now on its way in the area. -
75244 Tantive IV and now awaiting February and The Mandalorian Hero Vehicle Until then I'm done with Star Wars/LEGO sets for this year.

[MOC][REBRiCK] Star Wars MOC11827 Working Platform on Hoth
NerdYoda replied to NerdYoda's topic in LEGO Star Wars
@macaron35 it's not high enough for an X-Wing or Y-Wing by default. But it's pretty easy to use the build technique of the struts to double their length. Requires only all parts of the struts again. As soon as done so, it will fit an X-Wing below the walkway. The with has to me enlarged by 8 nubs, which indeed is quite easy as well. -

Thank you. A nice build indeed. And a nice way to present a part of my minifigures in a different way, or to equip a hangar on Hoth. -

[MOC][REBRiCK] Star Wars MOC11827 Working Platform on Hoth
NerdYoda posted a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hello everyone, it's me again with a current Rebrick of the Mocers G-Vortex. Today with the "Working Platform for UCS Hoth Base" (https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-11827/G-Vortex/working-platform-for-ucs-hoth-base/#comments). It was clear to me right from the start that this can't be the size of a real UCS version (see photos). In this respect I find the name a bit misleading. But the platform fits perfectly to my model of the Snowspeeder (75049) and into the showcase behind the starfighters. Therefore I decided to order the bricks and build it myself. All in all a nice MOC, with a very pleasant construction. Especially the struts, on which the platform rests, are in my opinion extremely well done and an absolute eye-catcher. I also decided to use light grey parts instead of the dark grey parts for the railing. Somehow I like it better this way. I also used ladders on both sides instead of only on one side (as described in the manual), because I have a preference for symmetry. A few key facts about the MOC Parts: 231 Construction time: approx. 30 minutes Costs: 22 - 25 EUR -
75092 Naboo Starfighter complete including original box for 59 EUR via eBay, LEGO bricks & parts for a working platform to give my starfighters in the showcase the atmosphere of a hangar. Furthermore bricks and parts for another evaporator for my Mandalorian Outpost Diorama (and yes, it will never be finished ... :-))

[MOC][REBRiCK] Star Wars MOC53798 Dowager Queen | Mos Eisley Add-On
NerdYoda replied to NerdYoda's topic in LEGO Star Wars
As it is always the case with me, after a week of being able to see the result every day, I am not quite satisfied with the color. So I ordered some more parts and will exchange the two black 48933 Wedge Plates for dark grey. The same goes for the 1x1 90 degree elbows. And last but not least I will exchange the old 3403 4x4 turntable, which holds the engines, for the new, more stable version, the 61485 4x4 turntable.- 3 replies

A huge amount of bricks and parts via LEGO directly to finish some rebricks of known MOCs on my list, like the Dowager Queen, as an extension of my Mos Eisley Cantina and a Working Platform for the area of my showcase, which houses numerous star hunters of the Rebel/Resistance.

[MOC][REBRiCK] Star Wars MOC53798 Dowager Queen | Mos Eisley Add-On
NerdYoda posted a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Hello everyone, today I present you a small review of my section of the Dowager Queen (MOC-53798 from 6211 on rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-53798/6211/dowager-queen-75290-expansion-mos-eisley-cantina/#comments), which I have rebuilt as an extension to my 75290 Mos Eisley Cantina. Since some parts were not available in the right color, or only at highly overpriced prices, I decided to change the colors and give the Queen my own personal touch. I am very happy with the result and on top of that - behind the Cantina in my showcase - it looks great. The following are some of the key points of the MOC: 541 pieces 1 hour construction time 13cm deep x 20cm long and 25cm high In short, 6211 has chosen the perfect dimensions to fit into a diorama consisting of the Queen and the Cantina. The version of the Dowager Queen is the version from the Battlefront games, not the one from the movie. But that doesn't bother me personally. Quite the opposite.- 3 replies

It brings back memories. Reminds me of the Victorian Walled Garden of Kylemore Abby in Ireland. As an absolute fan of Ireland, wanderlust comes up immediately.

As a collector, I can't get anything out of the new TIE Fighter (proportions don't fit), nor the new X-Wing (too square and boxy and the lasers just look modest). Certainly a good step to market playsets aimed at children again, but for me both models are a NoGo.
