Instructions available here. It looks like a really nice model. The front of the ship isn't perfect but it's more movie-accurate than the UCS Imperial Shuttle and the interior looks good. When I tried costing it last night it came to around £900 before P&P, which is too much for me. A lot of the costs seem to be associated with the motors. I'm not sure if they could be replaced with a mechanism similar to that used in the UCS Imperial Shuttle?

Looks really nice. Is the official set a good donor set or are there a lot of different pieces?
-
I prefer it the other way round. Jhae's cockpit is probably more accurate but, I don't like the fact that it isn't properly enclosed. Conversely, I think that Jhae's engines look better. Has anyone tried a hybrid of the two ships?

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Csaba replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Lucky you. My AT-AP has been sat 'awaiting stock' since July. Don't think I'm going to get it! -
Unfortunately not. I was thinking about a tile but, you're probably correct about it being too thick.
-
That's really creative. Never seen one that scale before.
-
That looks really nice. Do you think you could cover the exposed Technic sections in the lower part of the leg?

Thanks for the suggestions. AnotherGol's AT-ST looks interesting. I'll have a look at some of the reviews. -

Any opinions on the best minifig scale AT-ST? Ideally, I'd like something that uses a SNOT design and hides the holes in the technic pieces. I'm happy to go with a MOC or official set. -
People that just want one figure and don't want to hassle of selling everything else. There is obviously money in parting sets out but, there is no way I would ever spend time doing it.

BrickLink orders, Bricks and Pieces order and UCS stickers. Assuming I haven't made a mistake, all of the pieces for Jerac's Tie Fighter, Tie Advanced and Tie Interceptor should be there. They're all mixed in together so the first build will probably be very time-consuming. I'll probably leave them until all of the episodes of The Mandalorian and The Boys have been released then binge them and build over a long weekend.

Some of the pieces for this are ~$40 on the secondary market now due to the popularity of the MOC and the scarcity of the pieces.

My Bricks and Pieces orders took around 7 weeks so you might be stuck waiting. Calling only takes 10 minutes though so it's worth a shot. -
This looks really good. I like the way you've done the wings on the shuttle. It doesn't have the annoying visible gears that you see on the UCS shuttle.

[MOC] [INSTRUCTIONS] UCS Tantive IV - CR-90 Corvette

Thanks for the feedback. 3614b looks like it'll be expensive for such a small part. -

For those of you that have built this, can you give any feedback on what the hardest to find and the most expensive pieces are? -

Ecologist here. The extinction of the dodo has more to do with the introduction of rats than humans hunting them. Sorry, couldn't let that one pass- 127 replies

I'll preface this by saying that I've bought a few of Jerac's instructions and would like to get Kit Bricksto's Tantive IV instructions at some point. I consider their work to be very impressive and their instructions are good value. I would be surprised if MOC designers that sell instructions aren't breaking copyright laws. Given Lucas' attitude towards Mad Magazine, Robot Chicken and other parodies I would assume that he would be flattered that people are dedicated enough to build replicas of his work. Disney's lawyers may have a different view but it isn't worth the time, effort and negative PR associated with threatening legal action against hobbyists.

Is this your MOC here? Very nice scene if it is. I think you've done a better job of hiding the gears that operate the wings as well. Not sure if it would ever be possible to completely hide them?

I'm looking to BrickLink the UCS B-WIng. I'm not particularly bothered about it being exactly the same as the original release so I was wondering if anyone that has done is able to recommend any substitutions that would bring the cost down? It looks like I should be able to save a few quid by replacing 10312pb03 with 50986pb005 and I'll probably pass on the stickers. -
You can get the parts list here. I've had a play around importing it into BrickLink. Looks like you can get all of the pieces excluding the minifigs for around £22 + P&P, which is less than the original sale price. That could be reduced further by removing Lando's 20th Anniversary stand and the gun tower.

Had a shelf life of around eight months so supply is very limited. https://brickset.com/sets/75259-1/Snowspeeder-–-20th-Anniversary-Edition

Really nice model. I would be interested in instructions depending on how many pieces are in the set and how much it would cost to acquire them. Would it be possible to modify the stand so that there is a place for a UCS sticker?

42113 Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey
Csaba replied to Ngoc Nguyen's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
It often is. Back in the 'Lego is a better investment than gold' period the cost of Bricklinking the Super Star Destroyer was half of what the sealed set went for.- 781 replies

I think this one is quite a bit smaller. The one you've linked to appears to be minifig scale whereas the one in the video is the same scale as the UCS TIE Fighter. It's still a really nice model. I'm working on Jerac's minifig scale TIE Bomber at the moment, this has made me want another minifig scale bomber :)
