    Star Wars Hangar Bay MOC

Excellent MOC and the website story behind the build is cool.

Hi there, I'm new and need a little help....

This is the link on rebrickable for Anio's Venator MOC: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/anio/venator-star-destroyer Further down the page you can see the parts inventory and price match from sellors which have stock in (% of the build they have in available). You can amend the new/old bricks and cost out your own but it gives a feel for the price. There are various tools/software to help you cost out large builds. You would also need to contact Anio (on here or his website) to get the instructions for his MOC - for a small donation.

[MOC] [WIP] The Command of the AT-AT

The head and body look very realistic and have really captured the look of the beast - awesome, can't wait for your next update!
  5. Fab - love all the different grey, adds nice age and used feel.

AT-DP 75083 with some small mods

Nice job - and very helpful to show the parts used to build up and improve the model.

    [MOD/MOC] Darth Vader's Sith Interceptor

I really like it as it is - nice balance and contrast, with a nice sith droid.

YABUM (Yet Another Bricklinked UCS MF)

Fantastic job Soul - looks great as is, but good luck with any mods! This is going on the 2016 to do list for sure...

YABUM (Yet Another Bricklinked UCS MF)

I tend to go used for my Rebs / non imperial ships light or dark grey and white pieces, and stick to new pieces for anything imperial - I've had some real variations in colour on used greys and whites, especially when the pieces are a lot older - but it works for that 'used' / 'worn' look well.

    Bricklinking the Y-Wing (10134)

Last main bits of build done, some minor parts on their way so a couple of temporary pieces in place for now. Just need to replicate the yellow side nose stickers then.... Regimus - I like the look of your changes - you have shortened the main body, engines and engine struts, done some nice changes to the grebs. and guns?

    Bricklinking the Y-Wing (10134)

Sweet....looks grand. I'm well on the way of getting my bricklink orders processed - I've swapped the crazy price dark orange pieces for a combo of dark tan/brown/orange, I'll spray the silver wheel rims white, and I've decided to go with the white technic 2L connectors in place of the ribbed tubes, plus a few other minor swaps/amends. I'm tempted to try the 7658-1 Y-Wing canopy as a sub as it will allow more sight of the cockpit area.

    [MOC] Heavy Imperial Troop Transport

Brill - my thanks as well Vaionaut for sharing the LDD file - this will be my next big build I think.

Awesome - can't wait to see how your build goes Soul!

    [MOC] Heavy Imperial Troop Transport

I think it looks great and ditto on the red markings, they really add to the look. How many pieces is the build please Vaionaut? I would love to have a go at building one of those....

    Bricklinking the Y-Wing (10134)

Revised my figure down to £220 - I'd left the LBG levers in and the tan hinges. With more searching it could be lower come ordering. I guess it depends on timing / location / patience - Ebay UK has a number new at the £1k plus range, and then about 4 sets in the late £500/600 range plus postage with varying degrees of newness and location....there is one used which is currently at £180 with 5 days left - 31 bids already.... For me part of the fun is doing the Bricklinking, so each to their own view of value.

    Bricklinking the Y-Wing (10134)

Sounds good - I think I'm looking at about £260-280 via bricklink with the subs/posting - so that looks a fair price.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Personally I'd go for the Y-wing else grab a B-wing whilst they are being sold less than RRP.

    Bricklinking the Y-Wing (10134)

Quick check on Bricklink for the one's I recall being expensive - the dark orange (30236) brick with handles are £5.80 new and about £2 used, 18 of those needed, the 2L white ribbed hose are running at about £1.50 new / £0.70+ used - 112 needed. And the various 78cxxx pipes, domes and harder to find slopes/wedges/tan elements are not cheap. And as ever there is the LBG levers at their crazy prices. Not available I think included the canopy, the large wheels in white, and some of the white technic parts are hard to get in sufficient quantities (I think one of the parts would need almost 24 orders for the 24 needed). Throw in shipping costs as appropriate.... I agree with Soul, depending on what has been subbed, it could be decent price. I've got my excel inventory built but not yet started collecting/building prices.

    Bricklinking the Y-Wing (10134)

I think it will work ok on the Y-wing hard to get/find elements such as the engine dome/wheel/ribs given they are not large stud pieces and are not sat in the middle of a load of pristine white tiles or such....plus a little variation will just add to the Y-wings 'used but loved' appearance. I've added a couple of shots of the A-wing into the appropriate thread...pending the final replacement parts to come through....go on and tempt yourself some more....

    [MOC] UCS A-Wing

First couple of snaps - still pending the final 'swap out' pieces to arrive (the various greys on the cannons) and the UCS panel sticker. and I'm considering the painting of the large side wedges white as per Anio's model, but I'm kinda liking the dark red originals. Added some additional instrument panels into the cockpit which I need to finalise, and hopefully does the A-wing justice!

    [MOC] UCS A-Wing

I'm just finishing up my bricklink of Anio's MOC USC A-wing and it really is a great model. The brasso approach on the MF windscreen worked a treat (first time I've ever tried such a trick and was amazed it worked so well tbh), and for the small number of parts which are not available in the right colour I've either accepted an alternative choice (made easier when its basically white, dark red or the odd patch of tan/grey) or for those pieces you really need in the right colour I've gone for the painting them with Plastikote (and created a wanted list just in case they ever turn up 'for real'). Some very clever/neat build techniques and an enjoyable build - can't wait for the final peices on the guns and the UCS style sticker to arrive and it's ready to take pride of place.

    Bricklinking the Y-Wing (10134)

I've just finished my bricklink of Anio's superb MOC UCS A-wing (http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108296) and have successfully painted some of the 'very hard to get'/'not available in right colour' alternative parts using Plastikote (satin finish seems the best). Admittedly its for display only so I don't know how much abuse they would take, but its a good finish and works fine for the colours I needed (white, dark red, and black). I'd like to do the UCS Y-Wing next and would happily go down the painting route for the wheel, dome and ribbed hoses....
