  1. There is actually another thread here at Eurobricks in which users are coming up with new parts for LDD for a while now. I think it is worth checking: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/177795-key-topic-ldd-new-parts/

    [Software] LDD2PovRay

Hi Guys! I am trying to install LDD2POVRAY again on Linux using Wine and PlayonLinux. From what I understand, the "Callback File System, virtual file system SDK for Windows provided by the EldoS Corporation" is not available any longer. The versions provided in the Callback company website (even the old ones) apparently are not compatible. As they have many different products now, it gets even more confusing. Is there a solution to sort this I couldn't find yet? Is the old path available somewhere? (Since I am here, let me leave something I rendered using POVRAY/LDD2POV/Linux years ago. It still has the best quality).

    MOC: Tintin Moon rocket

Damn you are a genius! I was like "jez he melted the bricks!" I knew this being applied on wood work, But I thought it wouldn't work on Lego! It's JUST LIKE the cover book, but also incredibly original and innovative in terms of technique, I think! Congratulations!!!! In a few months there will be a wave of arcs going on at the Lego community!

    Train Station

Fantastic! Really! I want it! About the barrel on the top... is that a remaining from the time it received stream trains or is it the ordinary water supply to the building?

Welcome, Marcio! I have just arrived here too and have learnt a lot already! it's an amazing community! I am from Brazil too! Based in Goiania. Mind that this is an English language only forum, so people are not supposed to answer you in Portuguese anyway. See you around!

    LDD in Linux (Wine)

I am sorry I'm answering an old topic, but this may help a lot of people. I had a hard time trying to install LDD at Linux by Wine. I guess the secret is at the library, and PlayOnLinux may help a lot on that! I remember I installed a bunch of adobe library, including adobe Air, Flash player, Xvid (I read somewhere it would help, but I am not sure), every dll I could (cos it doesn't kill anyone), and so it worked. A few days ago I installed LDD 2.3 too (for some reason I am yet to find) and at this time it was really easy, just put a bunch of library. at least for me it runs far better and faster than at windows.

    REVIEW: 40910-40193 Shell Ferrari Cars

Very nice review! These cars have been around in Brazil for quite a while now (I don't know if they are still selling them). Here you were supposed to fill your gas tank and pay more R$ 15 (about US$ 6) in order to get one of the cars. As everything else in Brazil, there was a "scheme" you could arrange with the gas station dude in order to buy the cars without buying gas. To be honest, they looked quite cheesy to me (already excluding the Shell + gas station "appeal"). I don't think this red ferrari color worked out, as it has a cheap appearance, like the product is made of a weaker plastic (I'm talking about the appearance, the look of it. it's a good plastic as every other Lego, I guess). Anyway, I did not buy it (yeah, in both senses). it's good to remind the Greenpeace campaign, in which Lego public relations disapointed me a bit by not properly answering the questions. Anyway, I think the Greenpeace guys built some nasty models during their campaign! And I'd love to build a Rainbow Warrior!
  10. Since you are into mechs, try watching old japanese stuff: Changeman, Jaspion, Giban, Jiraya, Ultraman, Black Kamen Raider. I was very into building mechs while a child because of those series. I guess as everything in art, there is a whole context regarding mechs, and they are probably easier to get if you are japanese.

Hello! I am from the space

Thanks a lot, Slegengr! it's nice you bring the dark age subject. I am about to finish my favorite weapon of that time. I hope to show it around pretty soon!
  12. My wishlist: it must keep being as simple and light as possible (sorry guys, no cameras nor anything ); it should have more options to export it directly to POV-ray, autocad, Photoshop or whatever, where then things may get complicated; More bricks, old bricks, and bring the train stuff back from LDD2; Those wheels that don't work, you know what I am talking about. Fix it or take it out; I'd call for a Linux version, again, but I quit. I guess Lego believes there are not enough nerds using that OS...

Hello! I am from the space

Nah! Actually I am from Brazil... My name is Davi Trombela, 30yo, and dispite checking Eurobricks from time to time for a while now, I am new here. I've been into Lego since I was 4, and it's a big deal and a big part of my personal identity to me! Currently I am very into space stuff (the classic and my own things. Not Star Wars, dispite being a fan of the movies); Knight Kingdom and Castle (being a D&D player); and I am getting into trains. As many, I have the dream of building my own Lego City, but as I am far busy right now, working and finishing post graduation, I am just warming the engines. Oh, also, I am more of a LDD player (at Linux), loving the possibilities it gives. That's it, nice to be here!

    [Software] LDD2PovRay

Did anyone succeed in installing the LDD2Pov at Linux using Wine/playonlinux or whatever could make it work? I am trying really hard here and it just doesn't go. Any tip? is there any library I should be installing? LDD and POV-Ray are already installed and working really fine!
