2022 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

Oh wow they sound amazing! Street food is the one I’m most excited about but I think for me I would like to see more like stalls than a building, lots of small market stalls in a cheap set!

Hmmm as it seems I didn’t do the worst job at guessing the sets - 2 sets correct isn’t so bad ?

    LEGO Hidden Side 2020

As much as I would like to see the ghosts in a physical form that isn’t the storyline Lego seem to be going for so I don’t think it would fit changing it so early on. The way I see it is that the ghosts are only visible through the phone and they spread the thing called “gloom” which infects the mini figures and the objects causing these transformations. Therefore it doesn’t really make sense to have them as physical builds despite how much I’d love to see that brick built teddy ghost in person ?

    LEGO Hidden Side 2020

Oh my...a haunted orphanage would be incredible. Definitely too far for Lego but at the same size as the school that could be a wonderful set. I was debating on a house or like tree house for Jack & Parker and went for a tree house as a sort of ‘base’ rather than a family home as I think it would be a little more interesting. Although, the hauntified versions of their parents would be an awsome inclusion with that. I really am loving these sets - they’re sparking such creativity in me and I’ve already made 3 mocs just from the season 1 sets alone and I haven’t done that in years. I hope this theme will be extremely successful so we see some more sets next year ?

    LEGO Hidden Side 2020

**I posted a list of Hidden Side 2020 sets I’d like to see in the 2019 thread but thought it may belong here instead** What is everyone hoping for with Hidden Side in 2020? I’ve made a list of my dream sets which you’ll find below; - Haunted Library £17.99 (Same size as the Lab with two isles of books and a convertible librarian mini figure) - El Fuegoes Stunt Plane £24.99 (Similar to the plane included in the Monster Fighters Ghost Train with a small side build for the AR possibilities) - Haunted Lighthouse £44.99 (Basically the Scooby Doo Lighthouse but with Hidden Side features - built to compliment the shrimp ship) - Jack & Parker’s Treehouses £69.99 (Large scale tree house with a slide to an underground base where the team can have scanning computers etc. The monster build could be something as small as a haunted swing set) - Supermarket Extraction £109.99 (Large scale supermarket with haunted kiosks and a sign that bursts off with eyes underneath - lots of ghost employees)

    HIDDEN SIDE - 2019

Just came over here to reiterate the positive buzz surrounding these sets, they really are the most excited I’ve been for a Lego theme in some time. I picked them all up August 1st from Smyths in the U.K but only got round to building the Graveyard and Train so far. The Graveyard set is really an excellent purchase for £24.99 it’s so much fun and I was shocked at how many small details Lego cramped into the gravediggers hut. And the tree for that matter, that ghoulish tree has more detail than most £100+ sets and the function adds a lot with only using minimal pieces. The train set is really great too, I wasn’t as excited for this one but as I got the station done I was really excited to get the train built. The locomotive is absolelty fantastic and I think it’s great that they managed to make it so each of the following carriages have detachable elements so I’d you want a plain cargo train that’s perfectly possible. My only gripe is the lab on the second carriage - it doesn’t seem to make much sense and I would have happily traded it for a passenger or haunted coal carriage. I actually don’t mind the big gun on the container carriage as it can fit easily into the container once you take it off so it’s quite effective at hiding the “Hidden Side” elements to the set. Ive seen a number of people talking about how hard it is to defeat the big bosses from each level and I can only agree. Damn that blue boss from the Graveyard has defeated me every time no matter how much I’m spending on upgrades. However, I am really hooked on the app and glad they made it difficult to defeat so the game is much more challenging. What is everyone hoping for with Hidden Side in 2020? The monster build could be something as small as a haunted swing set) - Supermarket Extraction £109.99 (Large scale supermarket with haunted kiosks and a sign that bursts off with eyes underneath - lots of ghost employees) Thats basically my dream wave right there ?

    HIDDEN SIDE - 2019

Wow it’s great to see a new Lego theme with the longevity to last more than a single wave, I hope Lego’s confidence in this theme isn’t misjudged and we have full access to all these planned sets (unlike Ultra Agents ?). I’d be happy to see this theme return year after year proving spooky sets with the ramshackle buildings.

    LEGO Ninjago 2019

I haven’t really done much thoughts sharing here on Eurobricks recently so this may end up being a long post but just had some thoughts I’d like to share on this wave of Ninjago after having now acquired about 80% of them. Firslty; Wow. What an incredible wave of sets, I picked up pretty much all the sets from my local Smyths and even the sets I wasn’t that excited for have become some of my favourites. The first set I put together was the Katana 4x4 because I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it at all but it not only exceeded expectations but became one of my favourite Ninja vehicles. It is one of the most sleek, sturdy and creative Ninjago vehicles around and I was so interested in all the little construction details used to give it its unique shape. I won’t go into too much detail with the rest but I would highly suggest picking up as many as possible (particularly Lloyds Titan Mech as that set is superb!) Now I get on to why I decided to make this post to see if anyone could help me out. I have not bought any of the Spinjitzu Slam sets as I only wanted the Season 11 Suits and the Forbidden Spinjitzu Suits and Lego decided to offer both between the sets this year which I think is a great idea. As I was building the sets I was completely in love with the new spinner designs with the glitter effect which looks superb whilst spinning and is a real step up from the already-excellent spinners we had in January. But. And yes I’m sure you expected a but, why oh why is there glitter in all of the moulded spinners except Zanes? I thought maybe I had a faulty one but seeing reviews and photos it turns out Zanes spinner is the only one without this effect and it really makes it stand out from the group; which isn’t particularly something I want. Does anyone know why they chose to include this this way? It’s obviously not a major gripe I just can’t understand why all of them have it except Zane. I do want to end on an upbeat note though and say damn these sets are awsome! I only have a few left to build now and they keep getting better and better so I would suggest getting as many as possible (or as far as your budget will stretch) :)

If anyone is looking to start building this M.O.C I bought all the pieces for Book 1 in Brand new condition to start this off but can no longer continue due to unfortunate financial reasons so if anyone would like to buy this at a reasonable cost please let me know :)
  15. As a long time Star Wars fan and Eurobricks lurker I’ve been massively impressed with some of the work coming from designers to then be published on BrickVault.Toys and have the upmost respect for BrickVault for expanding their offerings in this way - Having seen the great selection on offer I came to Eurobricks to try to scout out some of the designers and their work but found than other than, Jerac’s incredible Tie Fighter pictures and the discussion thread regarding the UCS Sandcrawler made by the fantastic CaveGod there was little relevant threads and I wanted to find people who had bought directly through there website, how they felt about the designs and instructions. For me personally I’d like to take on The Ghost and Tie Fighter collections and would love some feedback from people who are going through the process of building or have already built using these instructions and how the model sits. I created this Thread as a place where instructions and designs from Brickvault could be discussed as I know they are expanding there Star Wars Range soon as mentioned in a recent LiveStream, if the mods feel like this discussion can he held elsewhere or there is already a topic for this please feel free to close this thread. I am looking forward to hearing from you and if any of the designers or BrickVault see this post I’d like to say a massive freaking congratulations on expanding the opportunity for consumers to own new and exciting models :)
