Mestari Posted March 6, 2014 Hi, Greetings from Poland and LUGPol :) I am new around here, although I've been around for quite some time now. This is my first MOC shown here on Eurobricks and second that I did (the first one can be seen on my brickshelf). There is a bit of nostalgia to my old days before the DA, which as seen from the style of it, has been long ago... This goes back to good old Basic sets :) I hope you'll enjoy it. The mill rotates by means of a handle at the back of it. There are also lights in front of the entrance (old 9V system). If you are interested in building instructions, they are linked on Rebrickable: Red Mill. Tractor with trailer. And here goes the pictures:
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted March 6, 2014 I've always loved windmills and I think LEGO has made only few models. This MOC is beautiful with the system of gears and chain ...I also love the 80's style! The lights are a great touch!

lightningtiger Posted March 7, 2014 i agree, a wonderful old school building going on there 'Mestari', the mill is the bomb and that tractor is cool as ! Brick On 'Mestari' !
Anathaema Posted March 7, 2014 I Love it Cusoo might be a great place to test this on
Mestari Posted March 7, 2014 Thank you for all the comments :) Regarding Cuusoo, this would have to me stripped off the lights, as those are not produced anymore. ...and I love mills too ;)
Anathaema Posted March 7, 2014 You could use the light brick that they are still making and make a light channel. The light will be dimmer, but still of a nice effect
MusicaRibelle Posted March 8, 2014 very cool, I like the old 80's feel as well -- and the newer pieces here and there that complete the picture. Good job!
charly1221 Posted March 9, 2014 are you saying me the blades of the mill will rotate? it´s awesome
Mestari Posted March 10, 2014 Yes, it will rotate, although not too fast. Just as the 40t gear that is supposed to imitate quern ;)
Doom2099 Posted March 11, 2014 Definitely has an nostalgic feel to it. And very nice job on the photos!
trippybrowneyes Posted March 13, 2014 This is beautiful and well-designed. My vintage town needs a vintage equivalent to my modern town's wind turbine. Thanks for the instructions - I am going to build this for my town!
Mestari Posted March 14, 2014 Thank you! Would you mind posting a picture of it in the city when it's done?
trippybrowneyes Posted March 14, 2014 Thank you! Would you mind posting a picture of it in the city when it's done? I will, but it will be awhile before it's incorporated into the town. We just packed up our town display because the Lego room is getting new windows and new drywall once the weather gets a little warmer.
