That looks great! Ordered the parts. But do I also see a four stage boom?

Some parts have arrived

is this black bucket also available in a glossy surface - like original Lego buckets? if not, are there possibilities to make it glossy - e.g. by politing with very fine grained sandpaper?

zblj, it will be attached to the turntable like this

and the two sides will be connected by standard lego parts

Hi Efferman, I was wondering if it would be possible to print the counteracting boat propellers on a desktop 3D printer? If so, would it be possible if you could share the file for them with me?

Thanks

Wonder if it's feasible to create a multi-stage telescoping linear actuator like the one used for tilting dump trailers. Perhaps a pneumatic one might be more fitting. Has anyone seen anything like this suitable for lego?

Hello Michael,

I want to ask if you can help me with a new part.

I am looking for a counterpart for hook 30395, it has a towball at on end.

Could you design a counterpart?

Something like 6628 or 2736, but with a towball socket instead of the towball??

aminich and motomatt, a two stage telescopic actuator should be possible, but which dimensions it should have?

Good make the socket face downward?

Turn it counter clockwise a quarter the opening at the opposite side from the open side of the pin

So that it looks like a trophy cup.

So that the towball can be stuck in from below and when I connect the pin into the connector from the crane, the hook hangs under the connector.

How are the clamshell buckets coming along, love to see where you come up with.

on the large clamshell bucket is nothing made yet, the female towball pin should be no problem, but actually i have to much other things to do, so please be patient.

We didn't really discuss the scale of it. But I'd say the scale of the actuator we have now, but thicker to fit more telescopic stages

Personally, it would be nice to be able to make an authentic functioning tilting dump trailer to fit onto the back of a 1:17 scale truck. This would mean that the actuator could be up to about 14 studs in length when retracted. But honestly, any scale would be better than not having a multi-stage telescoping linear actuator at all :classic:

I'd say a 3 stud wide actuator would work just fine for most applications that would need such a thing. Also, what about a piece sort of like the 42043 telescopic bracket, but as a 2 stage outrigger?

Hello Efferman,

Would you happen to have this rim, with a tumbler tire on it so I can see what it looks like ?

Thanks in advance.
