Derfel Cadarn Posted November 10, 2013 Hi guys This is my entry for the Chil'd Life catagory of CCCXI As a Page Boy, young Arthur toils night and day at his duties which include helping Kay to win a joust tournament. This particular scene in the movie is very basic, not much to see apart from the young Arthur winding the training horse as Kay jousts against it. So I choose to keep it that way and kept all the scenery basic without adding to much lying around. The main emphasis of the scene is the joust and Merlin up in the tower watching. Gideon Posted November 10, 2013 Very nice build, especially that tower and its roof really catches the eye And as usual there are a lot of other interesting details to discover, well done and good luck in the contest!
ZCerberus Posted November 11, 2013 I always loved the look of the tower from Sword in the Stone and this is a very cool look to it. Great job making the tower look so nicely round and excellent work on the roof. Gauntlet thrown down again peeps, better step up to take on DC in CCC

Bob De Quatre Posted November 11, 2013 Really nice scene! The walls and tower are awesome. Are the bracket just under the tower top shown on purpose?

TheLegoDr Posted November 11, 2013 Great scene! The rounded tower is pulled off nicely. The roof is very eye catching. I'd love to incorporate that shaping into one of my builds eventually. Keep up the great work here!
Ace Krampus Posted November 11, 2013 Wow! Perfect rendition of that tower. This really takes me back. Well done, sir.
mrcp6d Posted November 11, 2013 This is some amazing work DC. A fine example of your super detailed building style. I can't help thinking that the ground could have used a different color though as the practice horse (beautiful by the way) gets a bit lost. Why child's life instead of the King Arthur category? Derfel Cadarn Posted November 12, 2013 Thanks guys! All the current techniques I have been using this last year will all feature in part 2 of my Medieval builders guild early next year :)
gedren_y Posted November 13, 2013 The best example of Classic Disney in Lego I've seen. The style you've cultivated with your Dark Isle series really fits the look of the old movie. And I've been meaning to compliment you on the Fulgore avatar.
Gunman Posted November 13, 2013 what a great tower...
