What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?

Recommended Posts

Back to favorites, my favorite fig would have to be the original R2D2 just because it captured R2's image so well and it was more than one color.

There are a lot of really great ones. A few of my favorites are:

1.) Snowtrooper

2.) Jawa

3.) Episode 2 Trooper (7163 and 4482 version)

4.) Chrome Blue Super Battle Droid

5.) Ewok (7139 version)

6.) Wookie Warrior

Figures with leg and back print are really appealing too i.e Tusken Raider, Han Solo, Boba Fett (10123).

Boba Fett - printed legs... As I happen to be a big fan of Boba this is my first and ultimate choice (but I don't have it - buhhhaaaaaa)

He's probably my fave too (and I have the same problem - buhhhaaaaaaa)

I have the Cloud City Boba Fett. Yes, he's pretty cool.

However, I've always cherished my Lando figs-- every one of 'em. They're just so cool! The Bespin blue outfit, the Skiff Guard get-up, even the Rebel General-- Every one of 'em are fantastic.

I think I have to update my answer with the new sets being released.

The new Darth Sidious is pretty badass.

My first favorite would have to be Commander Cody. My second would be any Boba Fett. :classic:

The quality of minifigs is just rocketting - compare figs to the sort we got 15 years+ ago

all themes have seen such an improvement, there are no so many distinct designs

Just wish we'd get printed legs as standard - imagine the new Bobo with printed leggs...

Fav fig has to be Vader, iconic - but there are so many I adore

I am guessing this is an ok topic to bump because of the relevance but if I had to pick a favorite minifig it would have to be the ARF trooper at this point. Despite the fact that I am an OT fan first the helmet mold of the fig is the best I have seen yet and is the most accurate that TLG has made to this point. (i know the stormtrooper and scout trooper are pretty accurate but the ARF is the win on this)

To make the best out of this major bump, I'll contribute my own choice - Kit Fisto. Even if the rubbery head mold isn't exactly a fan favorite, no one can deny the intricate detailing of Fisto's head, and that fig paved the way for most of the alien jedi that we're enjoying now.

Good point KDM. We are seeing a lot of Jedi with new molds this year. While to many to list he is the basis for all new Jedi as he was the first besides Yoda that I can recall to have such a mold. Kind of makes you wonder what we will see in the future. Kaminoans and the Bith band are the first that come to mind.

This is a rather large bump, but while I'm here, my favorites are:

1) Chrome Darth Vader - no other Vader minifig has ever captured the shiny blackness of his armor properly.

2) Cloud City Boba Fett - Don't own it (yet), but this one doesn't really need a reason.

3) Imperial Inspection Stormtroopers - Don't own those either, sadly, but that leg printing is so lovely.

...with Chrome C-3P0, orange pauldroned Sandtroopers, and Jawas close behind. I have expensive tastes.

Of the minifigs I do actually own,

1) Chrome Vader

2) Tusken Raider - just love the combination of tan and intricate printing.

3) Admiral Ackbar - It's a trap! The head mold...

...with Snowtroopers, Jango Fett, Clones Phase 1 Clone, and new Ewoks close behind.

Interestingly, neither the Kashyyyk trooper nor the Scout trooper, both of which I've used as avatars, are not on the list. I guess I just like those as avatars.
