Dreamweb Posted January 7, 2006 Hehe, I just downloaded Monkey Island 1 and 2 today... Those were true adventure games, the kind we don't see released these days. I still have Monkey Island 2 on my Amiga. I once played Lego Racer 2 on PC and Red Beard was unavailable in character creating mode (I chose Sam Sinister's face instead). Perhaps you could meet him somewhere further in the game, I don't know.
Norro Posted January 7, 2006 I had this on the 64 and though it wasn't the best the idea of being able to manipulat the race track with weapons was cool... Red Beard was the only comp player bad enough for me to beat; ) God Bless, Nathan
Mister Phes Posted January 8, 2006 When I saw "64" I thought you mean Commodore 64... I was wondering how the hell that was possible... Never drink too much grog kiddies for it makes you confused for days after... Pirates and racing just don't mix. Well not in cars anyway. Maybe if it were a row boat... Norro Posted January 8, 2006 When I saw "64" I thought you mean Commodore 64... As someone else had the same misunderstanding with me today I'm wondering if it is an age thing... God Bless, Nathan
Mister Phes Posted January 9, 2006 Are you implying that we're becoming old and losing our minds?
Norro Posted January 9, 2006 Are you implying that we're becoming old and losing our minds? No, just becoming old... no actually I was just struck to have the same conversation/misunderstanding twice in a day... God Bless, Nathan
Mister Phes Posted January 10, 2006 Actually I was under the impression I was immortal and didn't age. Perhaps I'm mistaken. Regardless I have preference for older Arcade style games rather than these silly 3D things. Although I think Sid Meier's 2004 remake of pirates is an acceptable 3D version of a 2D game. :-D
