[COR - FB] Sugarcane Plantation, Queenston

Recommended Posts

Sugarcane plantation for Queenston with windmill, boiler house and ofc sugarcanes.

After over a year in the making, Killian Goodwill had conpleted Queenston's very own Royal Plantation.

The large floodfields surrounding Queenston, as expected by the first settlers, proved to be optimal for the cultivation of sugar. And with the harvest season having started just only some weeks ago, the efficiancy and producitivity of the plantation has shown to be nearly unrivaled. The massive stone Windmill cruches sugarcane faster than any animal powered mill ever could. The boiler house, biggest one in the new world according to the specialists, allows for an immense amount of sugar to be produced.

Some of corringtons most renowned sugar scientists were invited by Edward Scarver, recommended to him by Mayor Colonel Sir Dirk Allcock from Jameston, before departing for El Oleonda. The scientist have been working every day, checking the quality of every single batch of sugar produced. They found themselves most impressed by the consistency of each batch, finding little to no variation in the quality of the sugar. A quality which they assure is on par with the best of the known world... if not a little better :pir_laugh2:

Parts count: ~76 700

Dimensions: 200x200 (without border)

Biggest moc I've created so far. Took awhile to complete/2 years because I've been busy with other stuff and maybe a little lack of motivation. But finally finished, learned some lego technics and history throughout the building process. Was a trip to build but fun at the end :pir_laugh2:

Thank you to @Justsomebrix for helping me with the minifigs and for writing the story :pir-huzzah2:

Wow, lovely and really cool creation! You did a really good job on this!

Building the windmill with those (different) curved walls had to be a hell of a job!

It looks like a very complete mocs with those different buildings.

The difference in heights looks great too. Really well done!

Thank you. The windmill was the most challenging to build, especially because I wanted to have the interior and I wanted it to work even though it's digital:pir-grin:

Great diorama! :pir-love:  Beautiful scenery and amazing buildings. The conveyor belt from the windmill over the rocky ground to the factory is a highlight. The interior of the building is very nicely constructed. The diorama comes to life through the many minifigures. I always discover something new and interesting.

Respect for all the work involved in building and positioning the minifigures. With a digital build, positioning the minifigures is very time consuming.

Very impressive build! Everything is there, a windmill, the hugh boiler house, sugar cane fields, ox carts, minifigs and even some nice landscape! And you really added some nice details like that device to rotate the windmill (at least that's what i think it is for :pir_laugh2:)

So the conveyor belt transports the juice from the crushed sugar cane to the boiler house? Is there so much juice comming out of the sugar cane that its flowing? I ask because i have no idea :pir_laugh2:

Thanks:pir-grin:, did a lot of micro management throughout the hole build to get everything as I wanted.

Thank you! I think one kg of sugarcane is about 350ml of juice. So I would believe that it should be enough to have it flowing, if you have a continues flow of sugarcane being crushed.

Kind of hard to duplicate in lego because of the sugarcane and the juice it self being proportionally larger in lego then irl.:pir-huzzah2:

Damn, Corrington got all these huge digital builders! The rest of us don't stand a chance.

As always, it's immaculate, highly detailed, and very realistic. I'm envious. :pir-huzzah2:

What an amazing diorama! I have to commend you for your landscaping, as it looks flawless! The windmill with it's conic shape is very impressive, all the more knowing it's functional.

I also like that you made a little story around it.

All in all, a jaw-dropping MOC!

Thank you!, the landscaping was the most time consuming part. I wanted it to have different textures not only colors based on how often people would walk there.

The fields of sugar cane look magnificent, I do love how a digital build can really go all out on the surroundings like this, it looks so good.  The slope on the base of that windmill is excellent too.
