Avalonia Mini-Challenge : Game Of Thrones

The Warden of the Enchanted Forest

It is well known by all the guilders that Avalonia is the country of the "tree huggers", a common nickname we can hear when travelling out of the Avalonian borders.

But little is known from where this nickname took its roots...

Some are thinking this nickname is deserved because of the very ancient Ceremony called the "Warden of the Enchanted Forest Ceremony".

It is a very old tradition in the lands where the Enchanted Forest florishes to thank the trees for their protection.

Lady Walaheria of Falahuas, is one of the designated Warden of the Enchanted Forest. By its origin, she has Elvish blood but also a High Nobility lineage that can link her to the kings of Avalonia.

She is also known to be a great enchantress and a fierce fighter and has earned the title of "Defeater of the Algus" amongst the Elves during the war against Lor Raavage as she used her great powers to counter the ice flow the dreadful Algus summoned upon the Enchanted Forest.

She could pretend a claim at the vacant Throne of Avalonia being Warden of the Enchanted Forest, because she is garantifying the country is always green and lush.

And now it is time to perform this year Ceremony.

The Sacred Tree of the Enchanted Forest is in blossoms and to thank him it is required to feed him at this period.

Lady Walaheria performed the old time ritual at the perfection, just being escorted by her personal guard. She dropped a little bottle of an elvish magic fertilizer at the tree's feet and pronounced words of prayer before softly touching the golden trunk of the magic tree and left it absorb the offering.

"Well, now." She thought. "It is time to save my husband and take claim of that abandoned throne..."

I've made some white background pictures but the contrast between the shrine walls and the rest of the build was not popping out at my eyes, so, I left it aside to make pictures with a blue background.

I find it better with the blue one. Don't hesitate tot tell me what you think of it.

Nice vignette, Fal. An elvish queen would be cool. And I agrre with you that the blue background is better, I noticed that right away and thought it was a good choice, then read your notes

The blue background really makes the white of the shrine pop, as well as the pink of the tree. The golden dragon over the door is really cool, though I am not a fan of the wings in trans-bright green or whatever that color's name is. The architecture is immediately recognizable as Elvish, which is great, too. The cones stacked is not my favorite way of making the trunk, but it works well enough. My biggest wonder from the build is how a dark green liquid came out of a completely clear bottle...magic, I guess.

What a beautiful build!  I like the use of the magenta colors--they look great with the elven build, and the elven architecture is superb.  Beautiful work!

Thank you for your elaborated comment. As usual, always a lot of things to say.

For the golden dragon, I don't have those wings in gold, I just took the most approaching ones I could have and it was those trans neon green ones frome the Elves theme. They are not available in pearl gold, believe me, I searched on bricklink.

For the trunk, I wanted gold pieces easily stackable so the cone pile seemed the best option I could afford me.

And you're right, the bottle is transparent and the liquid is green. First, I don't have a trans green head, I didn't want to use cone or round bricks for this bottle, and then, the best feather I could use on it was this green one. You can consider it part of the Magic. IRL, it's possible to have a different colour of liquid from a bottle, so, it didn't bothered me so much.

For my taste, it too white this build, but it is beautiful, truly an elven build. But I think, it would be a strong connection, to nature with an elven ruler, good luck mate!

Always a pleasure seeing more built in the Elven style  The colors and architecture make this clearly fantasy and look great.

Good use of SNOT bricks for the gazebo floor :classic:
