Factions - Introduction, Discussion, and Core Rules

Recommended Posts

I just have a few questions about factions. I have been wondering about joining for some time but I just have some questions. I apologise if these are in the rules already stated but I just wanted to be sure. I also know some of these specific points have been made in the chat but I wanted to be sure I wasn't taking them out of context.

-Once a character creator form is created and you have asked to join a faction, how does it work from there? I believe other sites have been mentioned but I am unsure how faction information is communicated.

-Is there a minimum amount of builds you need to do for a faction and/or are builds assigned to you that you have to complete. I am unsure whether I would have the time to contribute many builds so I am unsure whether I could meet requirements regularly.

Thanks in advance

Hi @Stuartn and welcome.

The FL (faction leader) of the faction you've applied to will contact you, and invite you to the factions group (most of us use discord to communicate internally in the faction). The faction leader will pretty much hand-hold you until you are familiar with the rules.

No. Your level of participation is entirely up to you. I guess it would be nice to at least see a build for each episode, but no requirements. We have many players that needs to take a break every once in awhile due to real-life stuff.

Hope that helps.

Thank you @Darth Bjorn for clearing that up, I look forward to joining soon.

If you have more questions, let us know! After you sign up you can start posting SW builds here on EB right away for your team. We use Google form to help track points. So if you need help filling that out I or another Faction Leader can assist you.

Cleanup: A Factions Build

(Cleanup) factions TTs sector 20 planet Val

story: Trooper Zak, had been assigned on a mission, to capture and then kill, a crime syndicate leader, in the far off planet; Vel. Once he arrived on the city like planet, he trekked down to one of the lower, slightly overgrown areas, of the planets capital city. After making his way down, to where he was told the leader would be, he heard the sound of rustling in the wild plant life that grew down in the depths of this wretched planet. Raising his blaster, he looked and say that it was not the leader but one of the gangs many henchmen. He was able to tell this, by the filter that he wore on his head, as the leaders wore different head gear.

Greetings,

My character is TC-9, a protocol droid who was property of the Pykes during the reign of the empire. He was largely employed by traveling businessmen for administrative and accounting work and was programmed to be fiercely loyal to the Pyke Syndicate -- even to the point of turning over his direct superiors to the Syndicate in the case of embezzlement or other forms of betrayal. In 10 BBY, he was present at the Kessel mining facility on business during the droid uprising. During this event, his programmed loyalty took precedence over his administrative nature, and he was subsequently directly responsible for the destruction of 28 droids and the deaths of 15 miners. He was severely damaged during his melee rampage, but his head was found in the wreckage in the aftermath of the revolt -- with his memory recordings proving useful to the Pyke Syndicate in determining what had happened at the facility. Impressed with his loyalty and efforts, the syndicate upgraded TC-9's body with parts from many of the droids he had destroyed, and he was now used primarily as a guardian protector for elite members of the syndicate. By the time of the fall of the Empire, his services had been transferred to the Black Sun organization as part of the Pykes' alliance with them in the Shadow Collective. His blaster attached to a boom arm was feared throughout the galaxy -- and in the rare event that his aim missed its target -- he was known to pummel dissidents with his metal fists in a near-life-like rage (earning him the nick name "the chrome wookiee" in some outer rim circles).

Hi everyone! I'm Thomas aka LegionDude, and I've been called upon to join the Followers of the Force.

My Character is Calyn Jago:

Born on Zeltros to a wealthy family in 41 BBY, Calyn had never been satisfied with a life of comfort and luxury. Where other Zeltrons excelled in making everyone have a good time, Calyn excelled in getting into trouble, never fitting in with the lifestyle. By the time she reached the age of 17, she felt the galaxy calling to her, and decided that her destiny was out among the stars. She, uh, borrowed her father's Corellian luxury yacht, the Starwing, and traded her life as a rich man's daughter for that of a smuggler, something she had fantasized about as a kid. She was good at it, very good, but it never felt like she had found her place, like her destiny was still elsewhere. Seven years after she left Zeltros, a  monk approached her for a job, to escort him to some ancient ruin holding some significance to the man. She took him up on it, and the journey would finally set her on her path to the Force.

Hey Guys!

My name is Carculio and I have felt a calling in the force which has led me to join "The Followers of the Force Faction"

https://www.flickr.com/photos/191003260@N02/51281572329/in/photostream/

Meet Honey Lemon, an Explorer who grew up among the rubble of the rebels and the exploits of the empire. Having her home destroyed and her parents lost to war at an early age she was forced to live a life of scavenging. Typically surviving on whatever could be found and never staying in the same place twice.

Regarding her scavenging, she has spent a great time on Republic war wrecks leading to finds such as her tattered clone armor as well as the yellow lightsaber she carries. With it, she continued to explore and hold her own. Well, that was...that was until she was approached.

She had never really had a family. She couldn't even remember her own blood, yet something about the Followers of the Force felt like home and so here she is.

The Imperial Triumvirate use the Secret Hyperspace Route, won in Ep. V., This will allow the owner to build 1 entry on any planet in the galaxy regardless of current accessibility.

The planet chosen is Iridonia (J7)

Hello Meatbags!

This is R4-GE. R4-GE harbored feelings of sedition and freedom before, during, and after the reign of the empire. However, the time never felt right to express those feelings. During the reign of the Empire R4 was a General Electrician bot. With the emperor gone now seems the perfect time to bring about the discussion of droid freedom and suffrage! Some have given him the nickname "Rage Against the Machine". He still can't figure out if the irony of the name is great or insulting. R4-GE consists of a core unit where his logic (or illogical) circuits and databanks are contained. Throughout the years he has found people tend to pay more attention to what he has to say when he has linked to some of his "enhancements". One such enhancement is his signature crab legs.

Mini-fig is included for scale. I tried looking through the info on sig-figs and saw other people using droids, but they were mostly droid minifigs. I posted a render here because I wanted to see if a brick built sig-fig would be permissible before placing a bricklink order.

On a separate note, I didn't see this forum until season 1 ended (curse my luck)! Just curious if there is a ballpark date for when season 2 will begin? Thanks and hello to everybody.

We're looking to start it around December when season 3 of Mando is starting, but there will be new faction descriptions and some rules trickling out over the next few months. Stay tuned
