That's a little bit of a quick vote comrade.

Comrade?!? Why that sounds like some sort of communist socialist talk to me, making you highly suspicious! Got my eye on you Corporal!

Yo!

I'm here!

I see a few of you are eager to lynch me based on my not posting here ... easy target, easy lynch ... a well-know scum tactic to get a bandwagon started. Your eagerness to vote for me based on litterally nothing is noted!

And it would seem the blacksmith was just here again, with nothing to say....didn't even join us. :sceptic:

When I play mafia, I put the current thread as my homepage. I log in and out of EB like 20 times a day. Sorry for not having posted every time I opened my interwebz.

I'm caught up but nothing really stands out for me; well nothing other than 2 of you are looking for an easy lynch. What is it in my posts that made you suspicious of me?

Isn't that how Day 1 normally goes anyway?

Well now that we are all here we can get this party started into formation for formal review! No need to get defensive Messell, a simple polite greeting was all that was needed, your king wants to know if you stand with or against him that is all.

And I am in agreement with a closer inspection at those so quick and willing to offer up someone for a lynch without a proper review is warranted indeed.

Unvote: Klaer Messell (PirateDave84)

My vote was intended to stimulate discussion, and I didn't intend to lynch you unless you didn't show up at all. (Or if you finally showed up and said something really scummy  )

That's a little bit of a quick vote comrade.

As I said earlier it was intended to stimulate discussion.

Nothing, my lady, just merely putting a soft chokehold upon you until you spoke. Now that you have appeared, my lady, I see no reason to not release the chokehold.

Righ 'bout now I think we be all in th' same boat, forgit 'bout ranks.

Nathin' standin' out as strange, just usual Day 1 rubbish so far. Lets keep it up...

And I am in agreement with a closer inspection at those so quick and willing to offer up someone for a lynch without a proper review is warranted indeed.

This be somethin' I usually agree on, but maybe not on Day 1...

Forgive me if I'm jumping at ghosts, but I'm always suspicious of the 2nd voter on a flimsy lynch. Fitzwilliam grabbed ahold of the first lynch to appear and then immediately jumped off as soon as it appeared to be a dead in. In both cases his reasons were merely echoing others.

I'll unvote:Mairn Upswich (mediumsnowman)

And vote: fitzwillaim (jack jonespaw)

Also,I feel there is a puppet master here, suggesting suspicions of others without committing. See if you can spot them.

Aye aye, with nothing much to go on during Day 1, most votes are designed to get people talking and weed out the true scummos.

You have exactly 24 hours remaining. The player with the most votes will be lynched today.

I agree with Mister Marin here.

This doesn't sit well comrade, Marin votes for Klaer as a sort of catalyst for discussion, (which he doesn't state at the time) and then you vote for Klaer for pretty much the same reason. Now that's all fine but here's where things get odd, Marin, realizing the confusion he's caused, unvotes Klaer and you follow suit, once again your reasons for doing so are the same as Marin. Seems to me like you thought there would be an easy bandwagon against Klaer and tried to jump on early to appear less scummy but realizing it wasn't, quickly jumped off again.

Vote: Fitzwilliam (JackJonespaw)

Think of it this way, if you will. I gave reason for voting for Klaer - the catalyst, as you say. Would it have been just as effective in inspiring conversation if it had just been Marin's vote? Perhaps, but I always feel like seeing two votes against someone makes them twice as eager to prove themself. Now, take that as you will, but that was my only reasoning - I simply wanted to ensure that Klaer talked. Based on previous experiences (perhaps those that I, myself, hosted), Klaer showed up late in the day and did not contribute much to discussion on that day. I wanted to ensure that that would not occur again - because, despite the activity that is occurring here, inactivity seems to happen just as often. And we all know that inactivity does not contribute to a good discussion and finding the assassins. And, since Klaer showed up quite nicely after Marin and my votes, why would I not remove it? I even stated when I voted for him that "I will be more than eager to hear him out." I gave every reason for voting and every reason for removing my vote when I voted. I see no reason why this is being immediately condemned, considering that I gave ample reason.

And, see, above me! Mister Skarbin does the same thing to Mister Felix!

I'm feeling the deep hypocrisy that Corporal Banning complained about Fitz being a second vote, and voted him for it, WHILE DOING IT HIMSELF. Seems like a scummy attempt to get the bandwagon rolling on Fitz.

Therefore,

Vote: Corporal Banning (Tariq J)

Right, I get what you're saying but I suppose what I'm now asking is, why did you feel the need to vote for him? Voting for him wouldn't suddenly make him come online, plus even if all 11 players had voted for Klaer he would've come online eventually. People voting for him would not have made a difference.

Actually Comrade if you read my original post you'll see I wasn't concerned about Fitzwilliam being a second voter. I honestly don't care whether Fitzwilliam was the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, or umpteenth voter. It was the fact he that when Manis retracted her vote, Fitzwilliam did the same for exactly the same reasons.

It's more of a psychological thing than an actual "summon him" type thing. Think if you only had, like, a few moments of free time. You pop in, see that you have one vote, figure it can wait, and then leave. Or you pop in, see, like you say, 11 votes for him, and then he probably would want to say something. I'm not saying that my voting for him would make him appear, but it definitely made me, at least, feel like he would now have better reason to.

Okay, I also get what you're saying here, but you're acting like Manis gave her reasons for retracting her vote, and then I just copy/pasted them exactly. Which I didn't. I explicitly stated when I made my vote that I would retract it once Klaer showed up.

Do you have any more definite suspicions? If you suspect someone of something you should come out with it.

Why are you voting for Felix? Voting for someone and not giving a reason is rather suspicious you know.
