Timento Posted August 13, 2007 Thank you for the pictures of this legendary space set, Snefroe1 :-) I quite like this set, you can see why so many people like it... In this set you can clearly see how Lego has advanced over the years 8-
snefroe Posted August 13, 2007 Aaaaaah - nice set! *wub* One thing I would like to mention: This part in old gray has never been used in another set. @captaintau: No profanity please! X-D Unique ON! well it's kinda strange. I've got a normal printed version of this brick, which was part of my original that i got late 70's, and i've got another version with this one with imprinted drawings. Lego used to do that in the mid 70's so i thought the seller had just replaced the original by this older one, but if you say it's unique to this set then maybe Lego started a production line with the old one replacing it in later production... |-/ That's very nice, Sne. Oh yes, very nice. But why? why? hm... maybe because the space forum is my playground where i do whatever, whenever i want? ;-) hm... and maybe it's not my first review of a space set? ;-)
Siegfried Posted August 14, 2007 That is sooo cool! Thanks for sharing. *wub* I assume that landing pad is a print on the back of the box. If so were they all like that?
captaintau Posted August 14, 2007 why? hm... maybe because the space forum is my playground where i do whatever, whenever i want? ;-) hm... and maybe it's not my first review of a space set? ;-) That's a review??? That's an homage, maybe. Or an act of reminiscence (not that there's anything worng with either, I hasten to add). But a review?
Morten Posted August 14, 2007 It is so cool that set. The 918 was my first "larger" classic space set. I played alot with, modefied it, so the trunk could contain more cargo etc. Yes the pringting on the 1x4 grey Brick is special, I didn
mutex Posted August 14, 2007 No words are needed to understand that this set is just perfect. This is really a nice catch Snefroe. I'd love that all my old classic sets would be in such a nice condition. My old space sets are full of teeth dents, but since those are MY teeth marks when I was young, I have no problems with that :D Ho ! and by the way Snefroe... Mars mission are not THAT horrible... ;-)
